Awesome!!! Having a great helmet is essential to making your ride enjoyable. Having several recommendations from friends on a Scorpion helmet finalize my decision. I will not regret this at all. Comfortable, great airflow, and great visiblity are the top items I can recall when I ride on my bike with this helmet. May 6, 2013

Good, but... I wish I had just gotten more helmet the first time around. I previously had the EXO-700, and I think that is a better helmet. This one has a neat air pump feature, but it's just that. Neat. In day-to-day use, it's annoying to use. I just want to throw the helmet on and go! The rear vent/air broke in about a month. It banged against a table as I was holding it. It's cheap plastic. Does it's job, but broke too easily. The quick release face shield does release quickly, but it doesn't create a very good seal when closed all the way. The wind noise is actually painful on a highway after half an hour. All that being said, Scorpion probably makes the (in my opinion) best budget helmets out there. The safety is good enough for me to trust a hard canyon run. Airflow is good. And the anti-fog visor is better than some of the more premium helmets anti-fog coatings, which hardly work from my experience. April 8, 2013
Great Helmet for the price I've only owned one helmet before this and it was a $60 Bilt helmet so I don't have the best comparison base. That being said i like this helmet waaayyyyy better. it isn't much quieter than the Bilt helmet but in terms of airflow, comfort, and the awesome scorpion visor it's a lot nicer. Was a bit small when it first arrived but fits like a charm now, though I really have no use for the inflatable cheek pads since I got it in the same size as my old Bilt helmet and it fits perfectly. My friend who wears a medium can fit nicely in my large helmet by pumping it up though so you could possibly go a size up from your usual. March 27, 2013

Nice Helmet for the Money! Bought this helmet for my son. He is 9 yrs old - little guy, but the adult small fit him nicely. The pump-up cheek pads really helped with a custom fit for him. This is a great helmet for the money! It was on sale when we bought it - so price was great. March 18, 2013

Great helmet This is a very good helmet, great ventilation and very comfortable if you get the right fit. I'm loving the airpump system. It's a light helmet compared to most if not all on the segment, IMHO this is the best in this price range. February 28, 2013

Answer: 
Both the EXO 500 and the EXO 750 have a slightly narrow intermediate oval internal shape. After trying both of them on, we find that they do fit the same.

I've owned the EXO-700 and the EXO-750. Both of those are a more intermediate oval. From what I've seen, the differences between the 500, 700/750, and the 1100 are not the head shape, but the build of the helmet and weight of the helmet.

The 500 is an "Advanced Polycarbonate Composite Engineered Shell", while the 700/750/1100 is a "Fiberglass/Kevlar Matrix Shell". Noticeably lighter helmet. Very similar fit.

Answer: 
The pump only pumps up the air around the cheek pads, not the skull. That's where helmet sizing is the most important. It will certainly help it feel more snug, but maybe you can look at different cheek pads for a different helmet? I cant say for sure but my friend wears a small and he tried on my Large EXO 750 helmet. after pumping it up nearly all the way it fit him pretty well, so I'd assume from xs to xxs would be doable.

Nope - I wouldnt count on the pump system to adjust helmet sizes. You are talking about 2 different parts of the head. Helmet size is more about measuring the size around the temple. The pump system fills up bladders around the cheeks (behind the cheek pads) - just for a better face fit.

FYI - My 9 year old son uses an adult small - he is a little guy and it fits him perfectly. BE SURE to measure your gf's head and follow the size chart. The first helmet I bought on craigslist did not fit him (wasted $).

Quite possibly. The Scorpion runs small. I can squeeze a Icon small size on but I went with a Scorpion Med size. It pumps up enough to make it nice and snug around my cheeks.
Keep in mind that the pump ONLY pumps up around your face cheeks and lower jaw. It won't fill in anything around your forehead or above. For that I suggest she wear a pullover cap to fill in the gap.
Bottom line - go to a shop and try one on. Be sure to release the air before she takes it off.
