very good for the price
I was looking for a helmet somewhat comparable to the higher- end, higher-priced ones, but that wouldn't leave me destitute, and I've found it. My first challenge in helmet shopping is that I've always had a fairly round head, so the traditional oval shape puts pressure on, behind, and above my ears, which is headache-inducing. I was specifically looking for something more round without being like wearing an actual bucket, and the reviews led me to this one. I'm pleased with the fit.
The venting works very well. The noise level is acceptable, as is the weight. I'm sure I could have gotten less noise and less weight for another $300 dollars, but I'm fine with the helmet I have.
The style is fine. I got the one I did (Street Demon) because it was on sale, but I think the solid color are good too. I was leaning toward a Scorpion EXO-1100 helmet that was more feminine in color and styling until I saw the word "Love" on one side in the video. Seriously, Scorpion? Gotta like the swoopy, curly lines and the pinks, greens and purples with black, but ... "Love?" [eyeroll] Can we please not go over the top on female helmets?
The sun visor option is easy and convenient (that was one of my requirements in searching for a helmet -- surprising how few have it). The one issue I've had with it is that someone was testing my sun visor option while I was wearing the helmet and he (with no effort) accidentally popped the face shield off the cam on the left side. It took about 20 minutes of fussing with the helmet (while off my head) to get the face shield back on in such a way that it wouldn't keep popping off again everytime I raised the shield. I don't consider this much of an issue since I know what I'm doing in raising and lowering the visor (so I won't make the same mistake), and I never intend to change out the face shield.
Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase. Now, If we could just get some edgy designs with flowers and pretty colors without the word "Love" painted on in rainbow glitter ...

This helmet is packed with premium features that you would find on helmets that are three times the price. This is a light helmet with a narrow design that keeps your head stable in high wind drag conditions. There is nothing worse than wearing a long, oval helmet that hyper-extends your neck when a gust of wind catches your helmet when you are head-checking your lane!
The only cons I have about this helmet is that the fit is a little small--I wear a large (7.75) helmet and this fit is a bit snug, but still comfortable with the plush padding. All other Scorpion helmets that I have owned have been both DOT and SNELL approval; for some reason, this helmet does not have a SNELL rating.

Absolutely happy I bought this helmet
I have not been in the market to buy a new full face sport bike helmet in many, many years (I'm using a 25 year old Kiwi) and have not paid attention to what brands were even out there. I was shopping for internal sun visor only helmets as I ride to work at night and come home in the morning sun. I tried a HJC and it was too tight, round shape. I called and spoke to a rep about the Scorpion EXO1100. I was talked into purchasing it, and got the red Street Demon. I ordered my size according to their chart. When it arrived I was blown away by how great this helmet was! Style is very cool, many vents, sun visor, pump fit system, crack only visor feature, loved it! BUT TOO TIGHT! I got a large and it was squishing my face too much. I sent it back for the XL and it is a perfect fit. I read to order one size up but did not listen, I wish I had the first time. The helmet is so quiet my MP3 player sounds soooo good now, amost no wind noise to compete with my music. The venting has so many options depending how much, or how little air you want comming in. The clear shield is crystal clear and vision is wide, perfect. I ordered the dark smoke sun visor while I made the order, but the light smoke which came stock is just fine and I may not put in the dark. My reccomendation would be to defintely purchase this if you are in the $200 price range, and do not order your size by the chart, go up one size. If it loosens, use the pump to tighten it. Oh, my first Large helmet, the pump did not work as well, so they covered the return as it was defective. Thanks to all the help from Revzilla, it is a great site to shop on. My helmet was purchased with the Speed and Strength CBR Project H jacket in red, and a pair of red and black gloves (dont remember which) so my color scheme is red, black, grey and white all over.

Great overall helmet
I've only had this helmet almost a month now. At first the fit was very tight, but has already settled in very nicely and fits perfect now. I find it much lighter than I anticipated. Overall I really enjoy this helmet. One downfall is the inside visor is almost useless because it's so light, so I will be having to buy a darker tint. On that note though, having a visor inside the helmet is a great feature for me.

Excellent Helmet Overall, Very Light, Great Features
I've owned the silver EXO-1100 Street Demon for a little over two weeks now. Overall, I think it's an outstanding helmet with the closeout price and would definitely recommend it. Going from an EXO-400, the lightness and features of the 1100 are the biggest improvements in my opinion. The light weight of the helmet allows you to almost forget it's there and makes checking blind spots less of a hassle. The retractable sun visor (although admittedly a little light) is a huge plus for traveling during twilight hours. My favorite feature is the 3 position (open, locked, and "cracked") adjustable visor: the "cracked" setting (~ 1/4 inch open) allows a TON of airflow into the helmet.
The moisture-wicking helmet liner is really nice and along with the generous airflow really cuts down on the nasty helmet smell. Aesthetically the helmet is freaking sweet. I tried to share a photo of the helmet's "street demons" since the picture on Revzilla's site didn't due them justice in my opinion.
The only negative feedback I have is for the clear visor itself and the "lock" setting for it. As one other reviewer wrote, the visor is pretty susceptible to smudges (from hands or gloves) and chips/scratches (from small rocks). I have to clean it after almost every ride. Also, the "lock" setting doesn't really lock the visor down, it just makes it slightly harder to push up. The helmet can be a bit noisy at high speeds but that's probably because I leave all the vents open when I ride.

Awesome value - Great Job Scorpion!!
Just received my scorpion exo-1100 via UPS. Easy ordering and FREE shipping - plus it was so quickly delivered! Much lighter than my exo-500 which I purchased in the beginning of the season. Great product, well made and easy to use the features - the main reason I purchased another Scorpion helmet! So much lighter than the 500 and quieter which is a huge plus when trying to listen to GPS directions! I would definitely recommend this helmet to anyone looking to either upgrade or first time purchase. You won't be disappointed! Thanks again Revzilla!
