Scorpion EXO-1100 Street Demon Helmet 4.7 5 253 253
Excellent bug smasher Very stable helmet when facing forward, catches a bit of wind from the side though. A little loud with the top vents open but the airflow is excellent. Even with the top vents closed the other vents provide plenty of ventilation. The sun visor is very functional even with glasses. The shape is almost as round as my very old Bell. For me the size ran a bit on the small side as I am 1 size larger than the fit chart says I wear. The indicated size was very tight in the temple area. July 17, 2014
Perfect for petite riders This Helmet has been my saving grace. I am a petite rider and have found finding a helmet that fits right and is not pink quite a problem. This helmet is the right shell size and the inflatable function allows me to tailor the fit so now i don't have to wear my hair up to make it snug fitting. I love the visor settings so it can be open a crack when riding the streets, and closed or locked when on long rides. The only thing annoying things are that the wind noise is a bit loud even with vents closed, and when i take the helmet off i have a red mark on my forehead; but overall I definitely recommend this helmet, especially to other female riders. This product has great features This product has great features, sun shade and locking air vent crack up on shield. Good air flow. nice cheek pump up pillow fit. Not very heavy, with composite shell protection. The only thing I did not like was the sweat band on forehead stitching put a heavy red pressure line across my forehead until I removed the liner and hand sanded a slight channel indentation in the foam to allow the stitching seam to flow into it . Now the forehead is line free and comfortable all day. Very nice helmet for the money. July 14, 2014
Great helmet for a good price. This helmet is the best bang for your buck I found. It has a lot of extra features. I love the flip down visor, comfort and airflow. My only complaints would be it's noise level and anti fog capabilities. The helmet is loud at high speeds and the visor still fogged in cold temperatures. August 11, 2014
Bought two returned them both but I still heart Scorpion Helmets! am on my 3rd Scorpion which is a EX700 that's showing some signs of wear but I really love the helmet. May just end up buying some fresh cheek pads and liner but I also know their technology has increased in recent years. For some strange reason my head measured an XL on the sizing chart for scorpion but I have been wearing an XXL with the 700. Now the 700 is broken in after three years with it and it's slightly loose and I realized anything I put on would be tight. The XXL seemed like a tad two tight..Though I think I could have lived with it I am going to be near philly soon so will stop in to Revzilla and just try on some xxxls just for comparision...most likely in the 500 series. However I did wear this for 10 minutes a day for 4 days..just around the house and watching tv and the build quality is great, the shield is super, and the lining is as plush and comfortable you'd get in a $600 helmet. I make good money..not a millionaire but do OK but even if I was a millionaire I'd hever spend more than $400 on a helmet. There's no need in my book and of course to those that don't mind more buying 6,7, 800 helmets more power to you! I think Scorpion is totally on the rebound and make great products at very reasonable prices. July 28, 2014
love this helmet Has everything I need.. The sun visor makes riding easy June 9, 2014
This helmet is everything I wanted! This scorpion EXO-1100 was everything I wanted in a mid range helmet and at a decent price! It has great graphics, and tons of features. The flip down sun shade was a little lighter than i expected, but it does what it needs to to get by. The helmet is comfortable, airy, and has little to no wobble at interstate speeds! July 18, 2014
Overall Workable Helmet Little bit on the smaller side for an XL helmet but fit me snug minus any pumping. Easy to stay cool while riding but any extended stopping and your head will roast. Not familiar with many helmets so that might be more normal than I would think. Worth the money though. July 14, 2014

A shopper asked: Will the sun visor be unusable if I'm wearing glasses? Sep 4, 2013

eric j: I misread your question but, I think I answered it. Just to be clear, the visor is USABLE, and for me it does not interfere with either pair of glasses I use. In fact the visor is quite clear no distortion of glare when used with glasses. Just wish it was a little darker, but thankfully you can change it to a darker tint easily. Sep 25, 2013

Benjamin F: Depends on your glasses, but as long as they don't stick out super far, it should slide right over. Although I would suggest wearing contacts anyway for better peripherals when you're riding. To each his own though! Sep 25, 2013

A s: Yes you will be still be able to use it, I wear regular glasses and sunglasses in my helmet and does not block the sun visor or sliding up or down. Very helpful part of the helmet when you need quick shades Sep 27, 2013

A shopper asked: I know that this is good for touring, but I would like to know if this is more versatile... Is it good for sport riding also? Apr 30, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
lance22me: I believe that the EXO-1100 is a sport-bike helmet ... I have the version called the 'street demon' and when you see this helmet you have no doubt what type of bike the rider enjoys. That said, when I'm going VERY fast (well into triple digit territory) I find that the helmet seems to catch a lot of wind if I look to one side or the other. Straight on it's perfect. Would be cool to have a helmet that you can look to one side or the other without changing the amount of drag but them I suppose I'd have to have a globe on my head. I think the aerodynamics for (very) high speed can be improved in the EXO series, but despite this one fault I think it's very good. Nov 8, 2012
Reply to lance22me Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Commrad: It works but it's not the best option. The brow is a little low to be tucked in and on my Blackbird it's LOUD. When your heads out in the wind it's very quiet though. Airflow is pretty low behind the wind screen but it's aerodynamically stable in any position or speed I've been at. May 26, 2013

RevZilla: Yes, the Scorpion EXO 1100 are a very versatile helmet offering the convenience of a drop down sun shield in a full face helmet providing good ventilation whether cruising, touring or sport touring. May 2, 2012

Doreen M R: To the best of my knowledge, Scorpion does not offer built in bluetooth. I have the SENA SMH10 and it works great, wether its music from my Iphone, make/receive phone calls or connecting to my wife's unit or my Son's unit. There are many other bluetooth choices, on Revzilla look at the reviews to find what works best for your needs. Nov 7, 2013

Nikolaos B asked: Hello everybody,
I read with a lot of focus and all your questions and reviews. I have two (2) questions to ask about the Scorpion Exo 1100.
1) My head size is 58.5 cm. Which size do you recomend to me for the 1100? (It should be my first helmet!)
2) I searched in the Internet and noone sais about the real weight of the 1100, even the Scorpion site. Can anyone measure its weight and inform the others?

Thanks you in advance,

P.S. I want to thank a lot the RevZilla for the really awesome work that they done and do!!! The whole site is very exciting and I like a lot the freedom that they give to the customers. Keep up the good work guys!!! I like it a lot. Thank you very much.

Alexey G: Hello Nicolaos. My head size 60 cm, i buy XL size helmet and it not very good fit to my head, because my lower jaw is in one millimeter from helmet. Internal sun vizor - not good idea. When he is folded- he shakes. I reccomend look other helmet. Scorpion - good look, and no best for me. I use it as second helmet. My favorite - Shoei, he ideally fit to my head, if you can test scorpion - i recommended try it in local store. If you want
P.S. Revzilla really best :)

John M: I wear a 7 3/4 baseball hat size and according to the manufacturer I should wear a Large. So I bought a large and it was too small. I read that this helmet fits small so I would recommend going online to see what size you need and if you are close to needing the next larger size go ahead and order the next larger size. A shopper asked: My question has to do with EXO 1100 fit. I wear a large in every helmet I have however I tried on a Scorpion EXO 500 and had to go to a 2XL. The XL was very tight so would I need a 2XL if I were to buy an EXO 1100 Street Demon? Jan 20, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
A s: My hat size is 7-5/8" so I need a 2XL Scorpion helmet. My first Scorpion helmet was an EXO-400, my second was an EXO-1000, and my EXO-1100. All of them have been 2XL. Anything smaller is so tight that it is uncomfortable! I really enjoy the retractable dark lens in the EXO-1000 & EXO-1100. It beats having to carry two face shields. Jan 20, 2014
