Scorpion EXO-1100 Jag Helmet
No no no no no.
Had the EXO 700. Loved it. After a toss in the dirt, decided to get a new helmet, as you should when it takes a hit. The EXO R410 seemed like junk. Spent all of about 30 seconds with it before putting it back in the box. The EXO 1100 fits comfortably for my head-avg. oval shape. Not a big fan of the Reebok pump-like add-on, or the internal visor that doesn't come down far enough. The internal visor cuts right through my field of view, so I'll never be using it. The helmet is way noisier than the EXO 1100. I find myself closing the upper vents over 60 sometimes because it's just too much noise. The included clear visor & the gold mirror visor (another $55) absolutely fog up. It's incredibly disappointing! The plastic of this EXO1100 is a huge step up from the EXO-R410 model. They at least did that right, but the fogging, extra noise, & internal visor fail all make me wish I'd gone with a different brand this round. After only a few weeks with the helmet, I'm already shopping for something better since I'm so fed up. This will be a short term helmet for me. The R2000 may be better, and I believe pin lock is available for that model, but if I recall correctly, it's for more of a racing position. I'm looking for a helmet for a more upright/touring seating position.

Looks great, lots of good features
I'd highly recommend this helmet as it has great features like the drop down visor, which I find myself using more than the smoke visor I got with it because it's just so convenient, and the SpeedShift visor mechanism works pretty well too. I got the high viz yellow colour, and I gotta say, it looks great and is very visible in person. It does fit a little small, so I'd go a size up if you're close in the sizing guide. I wear a small and I find that the cheek pads are pretty big and push my cheeks in, even without using the AirFit pump, but it isn't a huge deal to me, I just got used to it and I can always just get smaller cheek pads. The anti-fog visor also works pretty well, and I ride rain or shine and haven't had it fog up very much. Overall a great looking helmet with lots of good features at a very competitive price.

Great helmet for the price
Second scorpion helmet. Love these things. The flip down sun visor is great. This new model is noticibly lighter and quieter than the last.

Very nice helmet
This is a nice upgrade to my 5 year old HJC FS-15. The fit is true to the size chart I just have two observations, the cheeckpads are quite tight (yet this can be due to face shape) not quite uncomfortable but is tight, the second is that the chin bar is a few millimeters thicker than my HJC so the helmets are about the same shell size but has a bit tighter fit at least for my face but not a deal breaker at any moment. Really good ventilation and wider eye port are very good

Great Hi-Viz helmet!
I bought this helmet because it was one of the few Hi-Viz designs I actually liked in the helmets with the internal sun visor. The neon yellow really does stand out but is not over the top. The most important thin to take into account when ordering the helmet is order a size larger. My head size was right in the middle of the medium range, but from other reviews I read they suggested getting a size larger and they were 100% correct. The large fits me perfectly and was definitely the right choice. The shell size is a bit larger than my other HJC helmet but I assume that it's to accommodate the internal sun visor. The internal sun visor is great! takes a little getting used to if you used to use a smoke shield, but now it works great. The mechanism to operate it is super easy to use with gloves on and feels sturdy, not flimsy and breakable.
The venting in the helmet is good, but on a really hot day the crack feature with the shield is much more effective. Even at high speeds I can leave it cracked and get great air flow but doesn't compromise my vision or let bugs in. Overall a great helmet and would recommend it to anyone!

Fantastic helmet, great vision and airflow
Fantastic helmet! Exceptional vision and airflow! Internal visor is a great feature as well as the "open" feature on the helmet which cracks the front visor for increased airflow on exceptionally hot days. Controls for the helmet are very easy to operate in full fingered gloves and while on the move.
This helmet was slightly heavier than previous helmets I have worn, but nothing to shy away from! I can still comfortably wear this helmet for hours.
This helmet is a bit loud, that was not an issue for me, living on a tropical island in Japan I will trade the sound for increased airflow!
The size was slightly bigger than expected, I recieved the large, the internal pumps tighten the helmet down quickly and easily.
I couldn't be happier with this helmet, definitely worth the money!
(The neon yellow helmet is awesome, looks great, really makes the bike look good, I really think that it helps other drivers see you through vehicles really well!)

Nice mid-level helmet
I purchased this helmet # 1 for the features and color. I wanted hi-viz and I wanted the sun visor. I like the fact that it has a lever to raise and lower the sun visor and can be easily operated with gloves on. Nice quality but fits a bit snug. I hope it loosens up a bit with more wear. I have a narrow shaped head that measures 22 3/8. I went with the medium. I don't need to inflate the check pads but it's a nice feature if you need to tighten it up on your noggin.

Nice helmet for the price
I purchased the Scorpion EXO-1100 JAG based on the online features review, secondary sun visor and overall styling. I’d never heard of Scorpion yet needed to replace my Arai Astral-X which was reaching the end of its safe service life.
Impressions: First the good – I really like the positive action of both visors and the absolute ease of removing and replacing the outer one. I have not dealt with the inner one yet so have no opinion of it.
The manufacture seems to be of top quality. The paint job is spot on (although see a complaint down the road). The pads are uniform with no sloppy stitching.
Anti-fog coating on visor seems to work great.
Vents look to be easy to actuate although it’s been too cold where I ride to have them open yet.
The neutral: This is a BIG helmet. If you want to look like Carl’s Junior bubble head this is the helmet for you, particularly in white. I went with the black helmet. It barely fits into the hard cases on my Yamaha FJR1300. I am bending the case cover over the helmet and forcing it closed! The Arai fit with ease. Sizing: I wore a medium in the Arai and from looking at Scorpion sizing it looked like that would work, but no – Scorpion sizing I feel is under what is advertized. I ended up having to send the medium back for a large. Measure your noggin and if you are anywhere close to the upper limit of sizing definitely go with the next larger size.
Noise level – I’d call it average. No quieter than the Arai or Shoei RF1100.
The negatives: It’s Chinese helmet, not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it smells like China coming out of the box and that is not necessarily a good thing. I imagine it will dissipate over time.
The air pump cheek pad feature is a gimmick. The helmet fits snugly already in that area and I’m wearing one size larger than I ordinarily do.
The flat paint mars if you even look at it. I had it resting on a mirror and the clutch lever came in contact with it and left a mark! You gotta be kidding me! This should hopefully only be a factor with the black helmet. The other 2 colors “should” be fine. I am forced to put the helmet bag on it when it’s not being worn.
At just over $300 this helmet has some nice features and will do the job. I’d like to see some more color schemes in the future. What impressed me were the visor action and the second sun visor. I love them.
