Schuberth SRC System for Schuberth C3 Helmets
The new SRC-System™ is a communication system which is integrated into the acoustic collar. You can install it in your helmet in just a few minutes according to the plug and play principle. Developed in partnership with Cardo Systems, the SRC is a fully integrated bluetooth communication system.

Sizing
- All Schuberth Women's C3W Helmets will take a size "XXS - LG" SRC system.
Intercom
Up to 3 motorcyclists can communicate simultaneously with the SRC-System. Under ideal conditions the range is up to 300 meters. range of up to 300 meters depending on the terrain and visual contact
- Automatic re-establishment of a connection when it is cut off
- Automatic connection set-up by speaking
- Automatic connection shut-down after 30 seconds silence, two-channel system for communication
Phone+GPS
The connection between a mobile phone with Bluetooth capability and SRCS is extremely simple to set up. Incoming calls can be accepted with a voice command and using the keys of the SRC-System. This also applies for navigation devices with Bluetooth capability. After the SRC-System has been connected to the GPS device, the rider can receive the voice instructions conveniently over the two ear-phones.

MP3
Most commonly available MP3 players can be connected to the SRC-System via the multifunctional USB interface. If the MP3 device supports Bluetooth A2DP technology, no cable is required.

FM Radio
The integrated FM radio now enables you to listen to your favorite station while you are travelling. Thanks to the RDS function the strongest signal for the selected frequency is always picked up, even at high speeds.

Good reliable product
This product serves its purpose. It is reliable, good quiet sound, easy to program, works well with your iPhone and GPS devices. Little difficult to install properly in helmet. Make sure the end lock fits inside the open slot in helmet so it does not come off while putting on or taking off your helmet. Very satisfied with product overall.

This product has many features.
This communications system has the ability to connect to many bluetooth devices. However, when I contacted Schuberth, they informed me it will only bluetooth to certain motorcycle GPS systems (motorcycle specific GPS cost more). So, if you want to connect with a GPS device not made specifically to pair with this system, you can't. Supposedly, if you had a Garmin Zumo, you can pair the Zumo with your smart phone which presumably
plays MP3s. Then you could receive audible directions from the GPS, listen to music and take phone calls too. Currently I ride with a NUVI in a RAM mount which provides situational awareness and listen to music via my IPhone. You can probably use an IPhone to do it all, but in my experience, GPS saps the battery and you will most likely have to have a data plan if you have a smart phone. Good system, but must sort out what will pair with what, whether you want to operate on a battery or hard wire, how many devices you want, etc. The system fits well, you just have to work with it to install. Will take awhile to work buttons with gloves. Looks clean installed versus clipping or taping a system to side of helmet, i.e., Cardo G9. On the Schuberth C3, the slide for the sun visor gets in way of exeterior mounted systems.

Overpriced and low quality
I am on my third SRC system after only four months. The first one was DOA and wouldn't start. The second one stopped functioning after about a month of use. It would charge and start, but stop working as soon as I put the helmet on which indicates some sort of break in the wire. Very disappointed with this purchase.

This product has good features
The SRC is wonderful for the reduction of wind noise but I had difficulty pairing it to a G9. There seems to be no online instructions on how to pair these two products. Pairing to my GPS only took five-minutes. I can hear great and my friend with the G9 can hear me great.

Fast, simple install, works well.
Very easy to setup and install. So far all works well, had about two weeks. Just needed to learn to "feel" for the different buttons with gloves on to control functions. Speaker quality alright, and when using phone, the other party said sounded very good. Intercom works great. The FM radio works well, with no problems with reception.

Nice integration but poor user design
This is a fantastic integration to the C3 helmet. It can not really be seen. But the resultant button placement is very poor and I never get used to it. The boom mike seems to get in the way each and every time I put the helmet on and I spend 60 seconds or so fiddling to get it right. The FM radio is pretty much useless even in urban locations. Speakers are just so-so and the volume is very low with earplugs in.
In the end, this went up on Ebay along with the C3. I just never did adapt to it. Great design, though!

It's OK, not great for this price
I bought two of these sets, one for me and one for my wife. Hers, out of the box didn't work. It wouldn't turn off or pair with mine. Return exchange was handled very timely between Revzilla and Shuberth. Installation was not easy but not that difficult. Watch the revzilla installation movie. Very helpful.
As far as getting the firmware upgrade, I have two PC's both running Windows 7. One of them could not install the firmware update. The Shuberth instructions indicate that this may happen and directions are to use another computer. If you don't have another handy, you can't install the firmware update. As far as the sound quality, sounds pretty good and pairs with my iphone and GPS fairly easily. The function buttons are too small. With winter gloves it's very cumbersome to press any of the function buttons.
You can only communicate with two other riders which is a limitation of this set. I recommend this product only because of it's streamlined fit, but it needs some improvement.

Good enough
Have been using the system for over 2 months. iPhone music and phone, Great!!! Communication with my passager Great!!!
Radio poor reception and speakers can be improved, for a $400. GPS Zumo 650 hard to have Pinole 4 and the Zumo to interact properly.

The Schuberth SRC System is not compatible with BMW's own Bluetooth system. However, the Cardo G9 is compatible when updated to firmware version 1.3 or later.

The Schuberth SRC System, which is actually a Cardo G4 inside of a Schuberth C3 neck roll, is not waterproof. However, it is water resistant and since it is inside of the neck roll and thus inside the helmet you should not experience any issues with water under normal use. Just don't go swimming in it, but that's just sort of a general rule when it comes to helmets.8 months ago

Waterproof = no, water resistant due to the rubberized outer framing, and the consideration that it is installed as your neck roll.Schuberth does not warrant the product as waterproof, but they say riding in the rain is no problem for it.

I have an older, non-Bluetooth GPS. I've seen lots of Bluetooth transmitters that you can plug into speaker jacks for MP3 players, etc. Will these work with the SRC? I'm trying to pair an iPhone (also music source,) my GPS and radar detector via two Bluetooth dongles. I know it's not common, but will it work?
