Just because the weather is warm, does not mean you need to sacrifice protection. The Rukka Hero Gloves are constructed from leather for abrasion resistance and feature carbon fiber knuckles and a palm slider for safety.

Great simple black glove!
I was looking for a pair of black leather gloves with good protection that would last. So far, these check the first two boxes. Hard to say about the longevity, but if past experiences with Rukka are any indicator, they should last several years.
The leather is noticeably thicker and softer than the more plasticy leather from some other brands. These are the first gloves I've had with palm sliders. I was a little worried about that at first, but they totally disappear once on the bike. I hope to never have to try them out!
The fit is good around the hand, but the fingers are a little long even compared to other Rukka gloves. After a few rides in the rain I'm sure that will change...

Good protection, easy on & off
I was looking for a good glove that would go on & off easily.
My "Apollo" from Rukka are made to be worn over the sleeve and take too long to get in place right. These "Hero" gloves go inside the jacket sleeve and are just perfect for the summer.
One thing though, the Velcro at the wrist would sometimes get caught in the lining of my Rukka Airway jacket, so I cut a piece of matching Velcro and put it over the exposed Velcro, the problem went away.

r1d3r3285:it was 80 fahrenheit equal to 27 C. I was between Revit Sand, Revit Comet and Rukka hero. I think the Sand is the most suitable for summer riding...but offers less protection. The Rukka hero doesnot seem to have too much air-flow. I mean it does not seem to have big mesh area...Jan 14, 2013
RevZilla:Yes, this glove is more than suitable for riding when it's 80¬?F out (though your hands will still be warm). If it's 80¬?C, you may have other problems on your hands. Pun totally intended.Jan 14, 2013
