Founded in 1950, Rukka has been associated with superior quality textile apparel that combines functionality with comfort and a high degree of protection. Roger Storling began the family business initially specializing in jogging apparel. They now develop, manufacture and market technical and functional garments for various sports: motorcycling, golf, track, rainwear, skiing, sailing, and additional sport accessories.
Rukka first presented their Gore-Tex clothing for motorcyclists at the International Cycle and Motorbike Show in Cologne in 1986. They'd previously made a name for themselves with robust motorcycle rain suits that carried the name of world-famous Road Racing Champion Barry Sheene. Since 1990, Rukka has been an independent division of the L-Fashion Group Oy, one of Europe's largest sportswear manufacturers based in Lahti, Finland.
Top quality branded materials: Gore-Tex, Armacor, Cordura, Gore Lockout, SuperFabric, Windstopper, and D3O are used in many of their products, combined with sophisticated design and innovations. Rukka's performance standards meet the strictest criteria set for protection, weather-proofing and riding comfort.
