Roland Sands Ronin Gloves
Didn't like the quality or color in person
All pictures of the tabacco color of the roland sands gloves make the brown look rich and oiled in texture. These are more of a drab brown in person. Also the quality of the leather and the dye seems poor. There are a few white-ish nicks on the palm side of the gloves and dark nicks of the back side. Cant tell whats going on. Not sure if its RSD in general. I did try on a clash jacket at a moto show this month. The leather was amazing in black and the fit and finish was top notch. These gloves just didn't live up to my expectations.

Stitches gave out on first ride
Great gloves. Look good. Comfortable. Fit is spot on.
On the first ride, the stitches on the tip of the right index finger started to unravel. This means that one of the four strips of leather that join at the fingertip is sticking strait out. This doesn't affect the function of the gloves, but it is just SO ANNOYING. If this were to happen on a jacket or boot it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but on the index finger of my dominant hand... I feel it when i pushed to buttons to open my garage. I feel it when I reset my trip when i fill up the tank. etc. etc.
I know I could probably request a replacement glove, but life is just too short to go through customer service for something like this. Really disappointing.

Looks Great and Fits Like a Glove!
First, I have to say my order arrived in one business day so kudos to Revzilla's standard shipping!
The RSD Ronin gloves smell great. I ordered the tobacco color and the leather looks and feels amazing. The gloves have a red fleece like material inside which offsets the brown quite nicely. You can see the red show in the dimpled areas of the gloves.I can't see any issues with the leather stitching although the fleece feels thin.
Style is 10/10 for me but that's subjective. The brown pictured on the website doesn't do the real thing justice. It's very rich and matches the liner of the Bell Bullitt.
Fitment. These gloves are slim. If you have sausage hands it may be uncomfortable. I have long fingers and a smaller hand size and I'm usually caught between a (S) or (M) in gloves but the Medium size is PERFECT. There's no space in the fingertips and the gloves feel snug when you're making a fist.
Protection. The Ronin offers foam padding on the knuckles and the backhand. There seems to be some foam padding on the outer palm as well. I hope to never find out just how much protection these offer.
Overall, great product by RSD in terms of style and fitment. A glove suitable for Spring and Fall (maybe Summer).

Comfort and Stability
If I'm honest with you, I thought I'd made a bad purchase at first. I spent a day with these gloves in the sweltering heat riding for about 4 hours. It was kind of frustrating ...the gloves felt a little stiff and some of the seams on the inside were slightly irritating. The next day, I rode again for another 6 hours or so and towards the end of the day, the gloves began to break in and feel great! The airflow on the inside isn't great ...but for the price point, the look and overall feel of the glove is top notch. They're well put together and are padded properly to provide the right support in case of a fall. The only other knock that I have against the gloves is that the fabric on the inside of the glove rubs off on your hand. When you remove your hand from the glove, it looks like you put your hand in soot. Aside from that, great buy!

Get a size larger than you think you need.
Maybe they're designed this way, but getting my hands through the wrist portion of the glove was an ordeal. Once on however, they fit...like a glove (excuse the pun).
You would think they would open up more at the wrist of the glove to let your hand in and allow for the velcro strap to cinch things up but thats not the case. Get a larger size than you're accustomed to...or deal with feeling like you're raping a cow.

Was very excited to get these gloves. The brand makes great products. The pictures on the site also make them look stellar.
When I first got them, I ordered a Large, as I am a 9.5 glove. Couldn't even get them on my hand. After sending them back and getting the extra large, they finally fit.
My first impression was, they look and feel slightly cheap. After contacting the company, found out they were made in Pakistan. The leather feels, well, cheap. I expected a much better quality leather for the price.
The stitching is done well. However I find the fingers to be slightly short, as when I am riding, my fingers slide up and I can feel the seem and stitching digging in to the tips of my fingers.
All in all, they are good gloves, the style is right. I bought them because there isn't alot of choice out there apart from the ugly plasticy race style gloves everyone makes in the US.
They would definitely do the job if I bit it on the bike, as they are well protected, and I am still waiting for them to break in and be more comfortable.
I would recommend a corrazo cordero instead based on quality and price.

Nice construction and slim fit
These are some well constructed gloves. The padding is soft so don't expect too much impact resistance. They are definitely tighter than RSDs other gloves. A LG feels like a typical MD from RSD. I would go one size up. They fit much more snug than the other RSD gloves as well so they are good for people with long narrow hands and fingers. Also, the red glove is just like the picture. It is a pretty strong color.
