Hot summer almost perfect glove, but the velcros against its textile
FIRST: I do not see myself shopping for riding stuff elsewhere anymore. Note: I live in Brazil… Revzilla, you were perfect!
SIZING was my main concern, so let’s feedback: After long considering all sizing reviews, from Revzilla and its Customers, and making several my-hand measurements, I decided for a size L and it fitted as it should: like a glove! I found out my left and right hands are different. Also, measuring my hand not touching anything or over the table (like holding the motorcycle grip) makes difference (from 1 to 5%). DATA: Over the table: RH 241mm; LH 225mm (imperial: 9 ½”; 8 7/8”). Hand free: RH 229mm; LH 222mm (imperial: 9”; 8 ¾”). MY DECISION: RevIT Sand Pro SIZE L.
RevIT Sand Pro - WHAT A GLOVE! It’s so comfortable, an innovation in style, it’s very flexible, perfect for hot weather. The blue one is beautiful and matches Alpine* Valparaiso blue jacket perfectly. Rain took me by surprise and the glove soaks and gets a little slippery. It’s not for rain! The amount of protection seems more than enough for a Scooter in heavy traffic but I have not test it this way (TKS God). I’m using it every day and I’m very satisfied. Keep its textile away from abrasive Velcros! It’s kanniba1, but it’s own Velcro damages its own fancy textile… ?!?!? It’s Velcro must be non abrasive and the pulling tip bigger, so it would be easier to open/ close with gloves! By the way, no glove should have abrasive Velcros since it damages the jacket and the helmet when caring the gloves inside it. It is pricy for what it offers, but I’m counting on my good care to keep it for some years.
I ride a 100cc Honda Lead Scooter in heavy city traffic the whole week (São Paulo, Brazil), and, when I’m lucky, I ride a BMW GS F800 on the weekend! :-). So I selected 2 gloves, one light and one with more protection. It’s a hot weather here, 25 to 36oC (77 to 98F), aggravated by the low speeds :-( … so ventilation is a MUST! I selected a Rukka Vauhti Goretex (size10) for the grown up bike, and a RevIT Sand Pro (size L) for the day by day junior rides… I am very happy. I got exactly what I wanted with both.
I was not used to wear glove at all. It’s just too hot… The RevIT Sand Pro is ok below 30oC (86F), Rukka Vauhti I can only use below 25 oC (77F). RevIT Sand Pro sensitivity is a lot better, it’s like wearing nothing, but Rukka Vauhti feels safer and is ok to feel the bike controls. Riding in a he11 of a traffic, I always keep a stand-by-finger-on-the-horn, so glove flexibility is a must! Both gloves do the job.

Great all around gloves
I find they run a bit on the loose side but overall a great all around glove. I can definitly feel the air flow through the top of the glove and keep my hands cool. They also look awesome and match the Sand jacket/pants (as they should!). Only downside is the price.. ouch!

Well made & good protection, true to size
I wanted a pair adventure gloves that offered more protection than the cheapy pair of icon gloves I have for riding my Honda XR650L in warm weather. The Sand Pro Gloves offer very good protection and appear to be made well. Air flow could be a little better as they can be almost too warm to wear on hotter days. Dexterity is good, not great. I guess you simply lose a certain amount of dexterity when gloves add more & more protection. I think over time as I continue to break them in it will be better. The only real drawback is that you cannot use phone/touchscreen. Other than that I would definitely recommend as gloves appear to have good/solid integrity with impression they will last a while.

Great Low-profile Summer Glove.
My only gripe with the Sand Pro's was that the sizing was a little wonky when I got them. If you fit a large in Alpinestars, you'll be a large in these.

That being said, the Sand Pro is a pretty solid glove all around. It's definitely built for summer time, less aggressive riding, and perhaps even offloading. The gloves are made out of something like a dozen different materials (including two different types of leather) and fit very naturally and comfortably. There was no break-in period for them at all. The perforated/mesh bits breathe like a pair of lungs, though curiously somewhat better on the underside than the top while riding.

You're sacrificing a bit of protection with these. There's leather and rubber bits in places where you'd need them (knuckles, carpals and tip of the ulna), but I don't know how well these would perform in a high-speed slide or a sharp impact compared to a glove with an encased carbon fiber hardpoint or whathaveyou.

Besides that, these are probably the most handsome pair of gloves I've ever owned. The patternwork and coloring make them look oddly futuristic. Also, a word of warning to folks with long hands- The space allotted to your pinky is generous to say the least while your index finger may feel a bit cramped when you first put these on. I may have to reinforce the stitching in some areas because it's starting to fray after (compared to my other gloves) fairly little use/abuse.

I'm not certain I'd consider these $120 gloves. I've seen similar gloves (as far as materials and protection are concerned) go for $60-$90. Hopefully these will last me long enough to be considered a fair investment.

When it gets hot out and you still ride, these are great
I actually have two pair of these, one for DS riding where they will get nasty dirty, and one pair for the work commute.

As a mesh based item these cannot give you the protection you probably had on your hands during the cold months, but in the heat you do make some choices. These are a very good choice.

I have found these to very comfortable and good wearing gloves. I went with one size up to fit.

Hot weather glove with good protection. Great Find.
I live in Northern California and it's supposed to be 104 today. The Sand Pro meets all my requirements for a summer glove.

First protection: I'm a retired firefighter and have seen many motorcycle falls both on and off road. The main areas of damage to hands are always the heel of the palm (the base on the side of the little finger) and the back of the hand on the wrist (again the little finger side where the bone, the ulna, meets the wrist and creates a bump or high spot). Many many gloves ignore protection in these critical areas, not the Sand Pro.

I also dislike hard knuckle protection. I don't understand why all the glove builders emphasize this area for hard reinforcement since it's rarely damaged. When you fall off anything, it's natural to extend your hands palms forward to break your fall. This exposes your palms NOT your knuckles. Anyway, I find hard knuckle protection very restrictive to flexing my hand and extremely irritating during hot weather riding. The Sand Pro provides protection around the knuckles but its soft and flexible. Not irritating at all.

Airflow through the glove is as good as anything I've found on the market.

After 3 months (and one washing) there are no bad seams, tears or overly worn spots.

Sizing was accurate but I feel the gloves were just a bit small. It took 4 or 5 full day rides before the gloves adapted to my hands. The right glove still feels a bit tight going on but that may be a variation in my physiology and not the gloves fault.

I can only hope that Revit sticks with this design and does not feel the need to "update" or modify it in the future. For me they have hit the bullseye in a hot summer glove.

Good mix of ventilation and protection
I live in Hawaii, so ventilation is important to me. Near sea level, temps range from a humid low 90's to clammy mid 50's. These gloves provide good protection and have decent ventilation. Air definitely moves through the main body of the glove- as long as there is air blowing on them. When the temps are in the 50's, my hands get a little cold, especially when there is no sunlight to warm them during the night. On the flip side, my hands are a little warmer than I like when riding on hot sunny summer days with temps above the high 80's. Convection from the sun really does make a difference, because when the clouds hide the sun, my hands are much cooler. I ride a Triumph Bonneville with no fairing to cover my hands, so if my hands were behind some sort of guard, they would get really sweaty. I also own a pair of Icon Pursuit Perforated gloves in Grey, which are MUCH more comfortable in hot weather, but they are not as protective as the REV'IT's. Not even close.

If it seems like I'm grumbling too much, I'm not. Im happy I bought these gloves. They are a good combination of protection and ventilation, and are most comfortable when the temperature ranges between the mid 60's and mid 80's

Oh so very comfortable.
This is the first short cuff motorcycle gloves I've ever owned.
I have 2 pairs of high end race gauntlets and two weatherproof gauntlets.

These are extremely comfortable. When I'm wearing my gauntlets they are the very last piece of gear I put on before heading out. Not so with these. My helmet is the last piece I have to put on, which might not seem like much but it's great especially in certain climates.

Not as much protection as compared to my gauntlets but that is to be expected. However I am not too worried with these on.

Air flow is great. It keeps you cool without feeling like your hands are exposed to direct wind.

I personally prefer the badass look of a full race gauntlet but these are still great looking.

Most comfortable glove
Absolutely the most comfortable glove I have ever owned. The different materials bent and stretch right where they need to and the inside is super soft. They didn't need to be broken in or stretched and they fit right out of the box. They're so comfortable that they actually reduce strain in the hand and help you hold the throttle for a long distance ride. They have just the right amount of protection where it needs to be but I hope I never have to find out how well that protection works. This won't be the last pair of these I buy.

The true DS gloves!
Best gloves I've used so far. Comfortable and thin, but feels like armour on hands. Not as small as reviewed here, the XL are real XL, only complain is when on grips the thumbs get tight and small fingers get loose. But they're my choice for adventures and city rides. Very nice piece of gear.

Riding in the hot summer weather in Northern California I needed a good quality pair of mesh gloves. I have not owned anything from Revit before, but I understand they are a solid brand. I read the reports on these gloves and they are held in high regard. How well (if at all) do they interact with touch screen devices? I'm guessing they probably won't work well but it would be a nice surprise if they did?
Jerrad J on Sep 2, 2013
BEST ANSWER: No. I do not have success with touch screens with these gloves. I ride ATGATT, and always use gloves - and the Sand Pros are terrific. However, I have read about a product that is applied to fingertips of gloves, that allows gloves to operate touch screens. A couple gloves have a material added to fingertips that also is claimed to work. I minimize my distraction with devices when on the bike, by using a modern, bluetooth-and-VOX based helmet intercom system, for phone, music, and GPS interactions. When I want to change routes, playlists, or make calls, I stop.
I want to know if its touch screen sensitive?

BEST ANSWER: The REV'IT Sand Pro Gloves are Great, but are not touch screen sensitive. I have to take them off to use my iPhone. I would still buy them because of their comfort, fit and flexibility.
Once these gloves break-in, do they stretch out in the palm/thumb area?

BEST ANSWER: I have found that they keep their shape well, although I live in a hot dry climate and the gloves have only been made really wet when in the tropics once a year for a couple of weeks.
Is the Rev It Sand Pro a good glove for me to use riding on the street around town and on the freeway?
A shopper on Sep 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wear mine all the time, as they are comfortable, and provide plenty of protection. I live in Florida, and it is hot here. These gloves are cooler than leather, and, I think, offer better protection than the ones I was using. I wear them around town, and for any ride. I have 2 street bikes, and a dual-sport. I just finished riding one-half of the Trans America Trail, and wore them the whole time. They got drenched in the rain. but dried quickly. They were comfortable in Hot, humid weather, too. If they ever wear out, I will buy another pair. They do fit snug.
What is the best way to wash these gloves?
A shopper on Oct 10, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I haven't gotten them dirty enough to need washing yet but I'd start with warm water only and let them air dry first. If still dirty a light dishwashing detergent and air dry. My 2 cents. - LP
Is the Rev It Sand Pro a good glove for me to wear riding on the street around town and on the freeway?
A S on Sep 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wear mine for all kinds of riding, including around town and on the freeway. I think the protection is reasonably good and they work well for me in hot weather here in the desert. Mine have held up very well -- better than some quality brand perforated gloves. I wouldn't use them in cold weather, but for temperate to hot weather, they work fine.
I have an 7 year old pair of Revit summer gloves in a XXL. They fit perfectly. In other brands I wear a 9.5 or 10.
What size in this glove? The chart puts me at a XL but I'm afraid it will be small.
A shopper on Jul 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have weird hands. I was born with 6 fingers and while I only have 5 now, my palms are wide with really long pinky fingers. These gloves fit better than any I've ever had because the armor is flex and the material is stretchy. They apparently run bigger than old rev' it gloves. They are now American cut when they were European cut. I would trust the size chart. Plus revzilla allows free returns. These are incredibly comfy.

This looks like a great glove but I was wondering how good you think it is for road contact. Would it hold up in the event of a highway get off?
Mark L on May 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Fortunately I don't have first-hand (pardon the pun) experience with hitting the pavement in these gloves, but I think they'd hold up quite well. Some of the dedicated road gloves may do a little bit better on pavement, but these still have very good knuckle and palm protection. I wear mine on the road every day, and I don't think twice about it.
