Hot weather glove with good protection. Great Find. I live in Northern California and it's supposed to be 104 today. The Sand Pro meets all my requirements for a summer glove. First protection: I'm a retired firefighter and have seen many motorcycle falls both on and off road. The main areas of damage to hands are always the heel of the palm (the base on the side of the little finger) and the back of the hand on the wrist (again the little finger side where the bone, the ulna, meets the wrist and creates a bump or high spot). Many many gloves ignore protection in these critical areas, not the Sand Pro. I also dislike hard knuckle protection. I don't understand why all the glove builders emphasize this area for hard reinforcement since it's rarely damaged. When you fall off anything, it's natural to extend your hands palms forward to break your fall. This exposes your palms NOT your knuckles. Anyway, I find hard knuckle protection very restrictive to flexing my hand and extremely irritating during hot weather riding. The Sand Pro provides protection around the knuckles but its soft and flexible. Not irritating at all. Airflow through the glove is as good as anything I've found on the market. After 3 months (and one washing) there are no bad seams, tears or overly worn spots. Sizing was accurate but I feel the gloves were just a bit small. It took 4 or 5 full day rides before the gloves adapted to my hands. The right glove still feels a bit tight going on but that may be a variation in my physiology and not the gloves fault. I can only hope that Revit sticks with this design and does not feel the need to "update" or modify it in the future. For me they have hit the bullseye in a hot summer glove. June 29, 2015
very nice mid-point glove My old Icon summer gloves were almost threadbare and leatherbare. I'm heading out west (4500 mile trip) so I decided to treat myself to a new pair. Watched tons of videos (probably too many!) and decided to try these as it seemed that finding a good summer glove with the combination of protection and coolness/airflow was going to be challenging. Fit - bought size L per the hand measurement technique. Maybe my fingers are a tad short, but the fit around the hand was spot-on. Protection - love the TPU on the knuckles as well as the padding on the carpals. Ulna protection is at least there - wish there maybe were a little more - but that's my only gripe. Airflow - Pretty good considering the knuckles are covered by that TPU panel. I have BarkBusters, so I know I'm not gonna get the airflow that other riders will. Overall I'm super happy with the bang/buck quotient, After I get back from CO and TX I'll try and give an update. June 3, 2015
Fits like a glove As soon as I put these on they fit like my old pair of other-brand summer gloves, already broken in a comfortable. I've worn them in temps from upper 50s to low 80s and they feel good. Airflow when it's warm is to be expected with my bike's handguards in place, but am able to feel a breeze on the backs of my hands. I'm able to reach and feel the control levers comfortably; there's no restriction in movement. Plus, the blue/white/red looks custom-made to go with the rest of my gear and bike. May 15, 2015
Great features and style Measured my hand according to the size chart ordered the corresponding size and the fit is perfect. Quality was very good and comfortable. Lots of protection and style. Ventilation works great. Will be a good summer glove. Have rode with them on some cooler nights. Hands feel very cold at anything under the 50 degree mark. May 4, 2015
Nice summer gloves that offer reasonable protection and yet comfortable. I ride a 2014 BMW R1200GS. I had a fair amount of trouble finding a good summer glove that breathed, was comfortable, and provided reasonable protection. I tried Klims, Held and others but all disappointed. These gloves by Rev-It do the job nicely. However, they did take a few days riding to break in before the fit comfortably. April 13, 2015
Good mix of ventilation and protection I live in Hawaii, so ventilation is important to me. Near sea level, temps range from a humid low 90's to clammy mid 50's. These gloves provide good protection and have decent ventilation. Air definitely moves through the main body of the glove- as long as there is air blowing on them. When the temps are in the 50's, my hands get a little cold, especially when there is no sunlight to warm them during the night. On the flip side, my hands are a little warmer than I like when riding on hot sunny summer days with temps above the high 80's. Convection from the sun really does make a difference, because when the clouds hide the sun, my hands are much cooler. I ride a Triumph Bonneville with no fairing to cover my hands, so if my hands were behind some sort of guard, they would get really sweaty. I also own a pair of Icon Pursuit Perforated gloves in Grey, which are MUCH more comfortable in hot weather, but they are not as protective as the REV'IT's. Not even close. If it seems like I'm grumbling too much, I'm not. Im happy I bought these gloves. They are a good combination of protection and ventilation, and are most comfortable when the temperature ranges between the mid 60's and mid 80's April 7, 2015
Nice glove but... I disregarded the warnings to order a size larger and initially got the XL size glove. The fit was actually really good BUT I returned them for the 2XL as the fingers were too short by 5-7mm. When the 2XL's came in they immediately felt better but the fingers are still 2-4mm too short and the glove fit is now way too loose. I'm able to wear them comfortably enough but for the money I expected a better fit. For accuracy, I must say I am 198cm (6'6") and nothing ever really fits unless it's custom tailored. Even so,other brands have done better with finger length so I give this glove a much lower rating than I would have. If they got the finger length better I would award 5 stars... December 3, 2014
Didn't work that well for me I bought these for a hot weather trip on the TAT. Going from Miss. to Ok. it gets hot and sticky. With hand guards these didn't help much. Frankly, I'm not sure how any glove would fair in these conditions. I found these specific gloves to be uncomfortable. The velcro closure was to short and I had a lot of difficulty keeping them closed at the top. I finally just gave up. I'm a very average sized old guy. Big wrists aren't the issue. I also wear a 9/9.5 glove and they were very snug, but the fingers were still too long. For comparison, I normally wear a Held Steve glove in the same size and they fit like a (i won't say it). Not a lot of protection and somewhat pricey compared to others gloves in the category. November 22, 2014

Jerrad J asked: How well (if at all) do they interact with touch screen devices? I'm guessing they probably won't work well but it would be a nice surprise if they did? Sep 2, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Kevin S: No. I do not have success with touch screens with these gloves. I ride ATGATT, and always use gloves - and the Sand Pros are terrific. However, I have read about a product that is applied to fingertips of gloves, that allows gloves to operate touch screens. A couple gloves have a material added to fingertips that also is claimed to work. I minimize my distraction with devices when on the bike, by using a modern, bluetooth-and-VOX based helmet intercom system, for phone, music, and GPS interactions. When I want to change routes, playlists, or make calls, I stop. Sep 26, 2013

Bobby S: JJ, to answer the question, not at all. One day we might have some good choices for gloves that are conductive - but not so much that i've been able to find. That said, if you wanted to mod these or any other gloves you have so that they will work, try searching on Making-A-Glove-Work-With-A-Touch-Screen.

Otherwise, these are great three season gloves. The pair i own now is my second pair and always my first choice except in really cold weather.

Tony N: Hi, Jarred:

The REV'IT Sand Pro Gloves are indeed the most comfortable bike gloves that I have ever own. The ventilation is also great. As far as the armor/protection is concerned, it does lack the hard shell material around the knuckles that would prefer. However, for the money, I don't think you can get a better summer riding glove.

Enjoy the journey,

Tony N.

Jerrad J: I bought these for myself for my birthday present and they do not interact with the touch screen on my phone. I did also get a new phone (Galaxy S4) and there's an option to make the screen more sensative for gloves, which works wonders. Problem solved (in a round-a-bout way :P). Great gloves too by the way in case anyone was wondering. Well worth the money. Sep 26, 2013

Matt F: These won't work with capacitive type touch screen (iPhone type). They work great for resistive type screens, ZUMO, Nuvi, etc.

Not that you asked but these are great gloves, very comfortable, breathe very well and fit very well.

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Laurence P: I haven't gotten them dirty enough to need washing yet but I'd start with warm water only and let them air dry first. If still dirty a light dishwashing detergent and air dry. My 2 cents. - LP Oct 11, 2013

Elizabeth B: I haven't washed them yet, but if you are considering buying them, I can no longer recommend them, as they ripped all the way down my ring finger after riding in the rain. Oct 10, 2013

Howard K: I haven't washed mine, but they got drenched during a ride once. I just hung them up to dry. They were a bit more snug initially, but stretched out nicely in no time. Oct 10, 2013

A shopper asked: I have an 7 year old pair of Revit summer gloves in a XXL. They fit perfectly. In other brands I wear a 9.5 or 10.
What size in this glove? The chart puts me at a XL but I'm afraid it will be small.
Jul 26, 2014

Brian T: I have weird hands. I was born with 6 fingers and while I only have 5 now, my palms are wide with really long pinky fingers. These gloves fit better than any I've ever had because the armor is flex and the material is stretchy. They apparently run bigger than old rev' it gloves. They are now American cut when they were European cut. I would trust the size chart. Plus revzilla allows free returns. These are incredibly comfy. Jul 27, 2014

William N: I normally wear an XL or a 10 in my most recent pair of Held gloves. The XL Sand Pros are somewhat tight for me, but feel like they should be just about right, once fully broken in. I don't like sloppy, loose gloves. Mine are still fairly new and snug, but don't feel overly tight. Jul 26, 2014
Reply to William Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
James W: XL will fit perfect! I've been wearing mine on 6 rides thus far. They were comfortable on the 1st ride and fit me very well. I measure 10" and XL was dead on. I really like this glove. Jul 27, 2014

Mark L asked: This looks like a great glove but I was wondering how good you think it is for road contact. Would it hold up in the event of a highway get off? May 15, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Eric K: Fortunately I don't have first-hand (pardon the pun) experience with hitting the pavement in these gloves, but I think they'd hold up quite well. Some of the dedicated road gloves may do a little bit better on pavement, but these still have very good knuckle and palm protection. I wear mine on the road every day, and I don't think twice about it. May 15, 2015
Reply to Eric Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Floyd K: Same here. I don't intend to hit the pavement however I feel relatively safe. The gloves are considered for more off-road riding hence the rubberized knuckle protection verses that of Kevlar or Carbon Fiber but still they are my every day gloves. The articulated fingers make these gloves extremely comfortable with little to no break-in. The only regret is that these haven't been updated. I would've like the features of the Dirt 2 Gloves because of the touch-screen material used on the finger tips for iPhone touch screens. Jun 2, 2015
