Once you get the size right these are a great pair of pants. The Rev'it chart was close this time but I took some advice to bump up to an XL and they were too big. I wear 32 inch iseam jeans and even the longs are too short when seated on my bike. At 6 foot even, 168 pounds, the large longs worked out the best. I will need some higher boots for the colder weather. Last ride: 47 degrees and some rain; I was warm and dry!

Just got back from a 1000 mile trip down the West coast in my new Sand outfit. Very comfortable & great looking stuff. Venting is OK, but on a full-fairing bike with a windshield most vented clothing is pretty ineffective. I usually wear 38 waist/32 inseam pants, but needed the 2XL pants and jacket, and they fit nicely. The people at Revzilla really know their stuff - highly recommended.

I had a hard time finding a manufacturer that had short leg lengths and these fit the bill. The quality is very good and I have had no real damage or failures after 6000 miles of 50/50 riding. They are pretty comfortable in the rain with the liner but I still feel a bit damp. The outer pants dry very quickly and I have wet them down for an evaporative effect in 110 degree heat. I love that the legs can either go in or over my boots. The sizes are ridiculously small (2.5 sizes) . Mine kind of hang on my hips like jeans and are short enough to stay off the ground. Well done REvit and Revzilla. I'd love to see some items made to fit N. Americans.

The fit is great. Stayed dry in its first pouring rain. Two pockets on the legs with venting is very nice. Love the large zippers and easy to get the boots on. Easy to remove and install both liners. Love that the liners zip into the bottom of the pants. Bonus was two sets of zippers to zip to the Sand jacket if needed and the hangar to hang up the pants on the included loops without folding the pants .

The knees have a zipper that opens to allow airflow but outside of that, no air gets in and my legs sweat like crazy, even with both liners removed. Granted, I'm riding these in stop and go 95 degree heat, so perhaps no other pants would do well anyways.
The liners are of amazing quality though. Dual sets of zippers at the waist and each pant leg.
The knee pads sit too low when standing but adjust perfectly when on the bike (knees bent), allowing for a super comfortable fit when on the bike. The pants rock.

First, If they came in Tall in my waist I would have preferred them. I got these mainly for use in hot summer riding. Due to the design of my bike pants with mesh in the shim area are not good. Way too much heat comes off my bike in that area and when I've worn my mesh pants in feels like I'm standing in a campfire. These pants shield the heat off the bike but are still very wearable in high temps. Very comfortable and I LOVE the cargo pockets. They run considerably smaller ( 2 sizes) than any other technical pants I have and I am a big guy, 6'3" and 260# but these pants fit well,,,though I won't be showing off the 4XL tag to anyone...LOL A great product and so far they are showing that you get what you pay for.

If the zippers match up size wise you should be able to. See if the Revzilla staff can try that out; I have not checked to see if they sell the jacket you mention. I have the 2011 Sand suit and love it.

If you want to wear street clothes under them, I'd recommend going up one size. You still will not be able to slide into them wearing any kind of footwear, since the knees/armor are a bit snug.

You might be able to get them on over tight fitting jeans or some lightweight fabric, assuming you remove the liners. No way you can get them on over boots.

They will definitely go over boots (I have Sidi Adventures). Pants shouldn't really be a problem either, at least not with the liners removed. The cold weather liners make a pretty big difference in the fit, but I'm guessing you'd still be okay.

These pants are meant to fit as a standard pant, but if you order a size larger, they can be worn as an over-pant. They are a bit cumbersome to take on and off over street clothes and boots since the side zipper does not go all the way up to the waist.

They have a thin waterproof breathable liner that zips in at the waist and hem. There is also an insulated liner that I haven't used yet. They are quite breathable without the liner and are in no way water resistant. I might add a little shower on a hot day feels great due to the evaporative effect...at least here in New Mexico.

There is a separate waterproof liner. I've worn them both with and without the liner, and it adds negligible bulk. I haven't worn them in the summer with the liner in so I can't say how well they breathe, but the material is nice enough that I wouldn't expect you to get too swampy. Same for the jacket, by the way. And I really like both.

The REV'IT! Sand pants have three layers, the outer shell with abrasion resistance and armor, the waterproof liner, and the thermal liner. As long as the waterproof liner is installed you are good to go, however, without it the outer shell has no water resistance properties.

REV'IT! Jackets are European (slim) cut and generally more narrow in the shoulders than other brands. Please take this into account when choosing the appropriate size. Most riders with any body type other than "slim" would need to order one size larger than they typically might wear in other brands, if you are in between sizes, we recommend erring on the larger side.
