REV'IT! Sand Pants

Quite Functional

This is my first pair of motorcycle pants, so take this with a grain of salt...
Note that "true to size" means that I went by the sizing chart on the website. I measured a 36" waist, 37" hips, 28" inseam, and the size Large (short) pants fit pretty perfectly once the waist straps are tightened a bit.
These pants are a little warm for the summer, but riding in up to 90 degree temps with little humidity is not a problem as long as you're not stopped with the sun beating down on you. The venting works fine for the small size it is, but it's not doing you any amazing favors. I'm willing to suck it up and take a little sweating for the protection.

Saved my right knee

Revzilla is a great on-line store but I did not purchase this particular pair of pants here.

Size: relatively speaking it is tighter than typical riding pants I've tried (Joe Rocket, Tour Master, Icon, or Scoprion). The purpose of motorcycle pants is to protect the rider in case of an unplanned dismount and the pants needs to be snug to make sure crash pads stay in place.

Breathability: zipper vent by the water proof side pockets might not look like much but actually tunnel as much air as anyone would need while riding.

Long term comfort: Took this pair of pants on a 2000+ bike ride earlier this spring. we were confronted with all kinds of condition (60+mi/hr cross wind, freezing rain, hail, and 90+ degree desert heat). the Sand was able to handle everything mother nature can throw at us and manage to keep my legs in a protected cocoon. it's defnitely comfortable enough for multi 9-hour day trips.

Safety and durability: Crashed my bike on a canyon ride last Friday. my right knee hit the pavement first follow by my 450lb Monster. I hyperextended my righ knee (already 95% recovered) but was able to walk away from the accident with minor scuff marks on the pants. I wish I can say the samething aobut my bike. Had it not for this pair of pants, I'm convinced I would have need knee surgery and my leg would've been grinded up like hamburger meat.

I wear 33 x 32 Levi and the XL short fits great. Comfortable for warm and cold weather. I love the removable liners and venting!

Rev'IT Sand pants are just awesome

I have to say that I was a little apprehensive at first purchasing these pants but they were so worth the money. My first trip of about 600 miles with about 450 in rain and they held up all the bit with the thermal liner and rain liner in the pants. Very comfy on the bike and the two front pockets are very versatile. The ability to tighten the pant bottoms is very useful as well as making it easy to get the pants off when done riding. The Rev'IT sizing is a little different but you get a quality product that really holds up well. Would purchase again and would even consider a Rev'IT jacket when the time comes.

great but all pants need these improvements...

I wear size 38 jeans and needed XXL pants. Love them except for a few things.
1. tightening the top is hard to do, no belt to hold it together. Button pops up easily. Having the jacket zipped to the pants would be the only way to keep them up right.
2. when will someone invent waterproof exterior with waterproof zippered ventilation for a hot day instead of having so many liners.
3. the knee protection has no way of tightening around your knee, it slides and dances. When it is finally in the correct position, the Tall pant I ordered rides up to my mid calf and that is what I wanted to prevent. I am going to remove the inserts and strap on SixSixOne knee protection and see if that helps the pant from riding up on my knee. If they had some kind of strap down there to keep the insert in place it would be good.

Very Nice

Runs a size small. I wear a 34 waist, 32/33 inseam (I am 6'1", 180 lbs) and ordered the large, medium length. Pants fit just right. If you use the sizing chart from Rev'it it says the large will fit a 36 inch waist, more or less, I really doubt that.
Pants are very comfortable, short rides thus far, we will see how they do on a longer upcoming trip. Appear to be excellent quality. The removable layers (thermal and separate rain insert) make a lot of sense and hopefully they will not be too hot this summer. (Northern Arizona)

Good to know

My old pants Dakar was made with better quality materials. Trousers Sand is really sensitive to any heat source. On my first ride they melted! I repaired my old pants Dakar because I had confidence in the protection they offer. The materials should not be used in the manufacture of safety equipment such as motorcycle pants. my 2 cents.

REV'IT SAND PANTS

I am very pleased with the experience of ordering from Revzilla! Patrick helped me with the sizing; he was very professional and easy to speak to, along with having the knowledge to help me choose the correct size. I am between a Medium and a Large a size, so I ordered one size larger. I am looking forward to wearing the Sand Jacket and the Sand Pants, in the upcoming riding season! I believe that this jacket and pant system will allow me incredible flexibility of not over heating in hot weather, and staying warmer in colder temperatures. I feel that I have purchased a very professional and safe riding system! At this moment I rate this jacket a 4 out of 5 stars, since I have not used them yet.
I am between a Medium and a Large in pants size..I tired a Large size and a Large short. I picked the regular Large. The Large Short came up to high on my boots, when I tried them on my bike for sizing. The large is needed to fit my hip and waist area.
I will not hesitate to order from Revzilla again. I believe Revzilla is a top notch company, and I love the Teamzilla rewards program towards new purchases! What a great Idea!

Awesome Pants

FIT/STATS:
I am 6' tall and wear Levi jeans size 36" waist with a 32" inseam. Actually, all of my pants are that size. When we did the tape measurements, as per Revzilla's video instructions, I was 41.5" waist, 41" hips, and 32" inseam.

I first ordered an XXL (regular). They were way too large for me! I exchanged them for a size XL (regular). The XL fit just right for me. If you want to wear these as over-pants, I've worn Dickies chino work pants underneath with both liners on, it's a little tight but okay, without the two liners installed even better. Jeans are too tight with or without the liners.

COMFORT
The Sand Pants are super comfortable. I've worn the Sand Pants in the rain with the hydratex liner and it kept me dry. The thermal liner keeps me very warm in 40*F temperature.

I prefer to wear them tucked in my SIDI Discovery boots, no problems there. They work just as well outside of the boots.

Great pair of Pants

I wore these for the first time Saturday, I could not be more satisfied. They fit well, I had bought a pair of the Dakars in XL, and they were too big, I exchanged for the Sands in L, and they fit great. I am 5'11" 195lbs.
