Great jacket with tons of built in flexibility
I'm 6'4, 185lbs with a 39.5 inch chest. I ordered the L and XL so I could try both on and compare because I was worried the L would be too short in the arms and waist and the XL being too baggy in the arms and body with the liners out. My initial concerns were almost right on the money, but I knew I would probably have an issue finding a coat that fit perfect considering I'm tall and skinny. However, everything else about this coat is exactly what I was looking for. Great ventilation with the liners out and the straps on the body and arms when I pull them all the way in allow for a snug fit even with the XL. With the liners in and sweatshirt, I simply let out the adjustment straps and still have enough room while maintaining a snug fit. I initially was going to keep the L, but ended up going with the XL bc the coat has so much adjustment and I upgraded the back armor which is thicker than the foam pad that comes with the jacket. The L was just a little too tight with the liners in and a hooded sweathsirt across my chest area and armpit area. I looked at a lot of jackets before this one, and none of them had everything I was looking for except this one. This jacket is plenty warm down into the 30s and has just the right amount of hi viz where it still looks great. I use this coat for commuting back and forth to work and weekend trips.

A perfect fit...
I have to admit, I tried this jacket on at a local Rev'it dealer who had my size medium, but not in the hi-vis version. It was the best fitting jacket I'd tried and this specific model had slightly longer arms, which is what I needed. The fit is so good, that I forget I'm wearing it while riding, something I can't say about any jacket I've owned before. The price point isn't low, but it's worth every penny. Waterproof, breathable, two liners. After owning it three weeks, I just picked up the Sand 2 pants as well.

Fantastic All Season Jacket
I can't say enough good about this jacket. I mostly ride ADV styled bike that sit me pretty upright. Previously I've had a Hein Gericke (don't remember model) and most recently an Aerostich Falstaff (a waxed cotton version of the Darien). So, I've moved up a generation or two in jacket design. And what a move up it is. I really find no fault in the this jacket. The protection is great in every way. It does take a little while to change configurations, i.e. put in the rain jacket, take out the insulated jacket. But, the versatility it affords is worth the 5 minutes it takes to reconfigure, and it sure beats carrying the extra gear that would be required do all that this jacket does for me. I'm still waiting on my size of the CE back protector to show up in RevZilla's stock list. I ordered the wrong size back protector when I ordered my jacket (read size/type chart carefully). But I returned it for full credit and am waiting for the right size to come into inventory. I would recommend this jacket. It's awesome!

Very well made with attention to detail
Just received the jacket and haven't had a chance to ride in it yet. I will say the construction quality is top notch. I'm 6' and 255 lbs. and it took a 3X to get the right fit. I have a 5 year old REV'IT Sirocco jacket in 2X that still fits so if you have a bit of a gut be prepared to go up a size. I like the combination of black and Hi-Vis. Great visibility without looking like a glowing banana. I'll use it on my Harley dresser and my GS Adventure.

Great jacket for smaller frames
I have a European frame – 5’6” roughly 130-135lbs. I tried an Olympia Motoquest jacket, but even a small was really large on me and didn’t fit.

The Sand 2 small fits much better and is borderline on the snug side, which is exactly what you want to keep everything in place. Keep in mind that if you add in the back protector it’s going to eat up another 1.5” or so. General fit and finish are excellent, but it may take some time to tweak all the adjustments to your liking. When layered up with both the inner rain jacket and the thermal liner it’s a very snug fit. I figure I can get away with a good thermal base-layer when it’s really cold out, but probably can’t do any heavy fleece or anything.

I like the Hi-Viz of the jacket and it can easily be seen when riding. The general look of the jacket is nice and aside from the hi-viz it isn’t too flashy.

I already have a mesh jacket so this purchase was for the other season in TX. I’m usually reaching for my mesh jacket when it’s over 80F, but I wanted to see how this jacket did in warmer weather. I’ve ridden a few days when it started off cool (not cold) and then warmed up to over 80+. With the venting open on my Aprilia it does a really nice job of giving me a lot of airflow to keep me comfortable without “ballooning” the jacket. I have not had a chance to try it out in the cold or rain, but that will be coming.

So, a few nit-picky items:
It’s a little tight in or under the armpits – especially when reaching for the clip-ons. If you work out a lot and have large lats, this might cause a problem. It’s not wholly uncomfortable, but it’s one place a little extra material would be nice.

It has a little too much material in the sleeves – there are a lot of adjustments in the sleeves and the set-it-and-forget cuffs are nice, but there is still a bunch of material left over that has to be folded in just right. Even then it is difficult to get my gauntlets on over the cuffs. Initially the sleeves were trying to “push” my gloves off due to being stiff and long, but the jacket is already starting to break in and the material is softening up a bit so this hasn’t been as much of an issue.

Velcro galore! – All the pockets have Velcro closures. This is OK, but I prefer zippers and spring-loaded snaps over Velcro. Velcro wears out faster and a zipper and snaps are a little easier to work with.

Overall I really like the jacket. It’s hard to find a good 3-to-4 season jacket that fits my frame and this one does a very nice job of it while offering great protection and features.

Excellent choice for all type of weather.
I just used my jacket for the first time and loved it. Good protection for the morning cold and an excellent ventilation when the temperature went up. At the peak of the hot weather, I just took out the internal liners and I was fresh as an Usher candy.
The shoulder and elbow protections are so comfortable, you forget you are wearing a protection gear.

This jacket far exceeds all expectations.
I love this jacket! It fits perfectly, it's comfortable, and it's functional. The hi-viz trim is a great safety feature. This is definitely the best jacket I've ever owned, and I've owned many. It fits a bit on the small side, so if you normally wear a size large, you should consider buying an extra-large.

Great jacket!
This jacket fits very well, I'm 6'1" and 210lb. It's a very comfortable and highly visible jacket. There is a great deal of pocket storage available and the protection, albeit without the backplate, feels great.

I also own the Sand 2 pants and they look and feel great together. The jacket is year round, but I would not recommend in temperatures in beyond the high 80s. For this, I would recommend a proper summer jacket with better airflow. Having said that, If I had to choose between a summer jacket and the storage, coverage, and wonderful liners that provide insulation during cooler months, I would choose this jacket.

The Rev'it Sand 2 Hi-Viz Jacket is best jacket I have ever owned
I recently purchased Rev'it Sand 2 jacket, Rev'it Airwave overpants, and Rev'it Sand Pro Gloves from Revzilla. These are the best fitting gear I have ever owned. Been riding for 35 years. The Customer Service at Revzilla helped me pick everything so there was no sending back. I called many other online sellers and Revzilla helped me out the whole way. Will be buying again what ever I need from this company. Did a simple vid on my purchases on youtube at "Padre Prepper"

First ADV jacket... Well worth it
This jacket is awesome. I had to get it exchanged due to it not fitting.I'm 6'1 and 205 lbs size XXL. I used this jacket in the winter in 20º weather for a couple of weeks and this jacket sure holds up I could have gone longer but my hands couldn't take it for more then 1 1/2 hrs . I wore it recently in a downpour and I swore that when I got home I was going to be soaked but guess what I was completely dry underneath, the jacket was really soaked. The color is great and the style is nice. The only thing I don't like about it are the big front pockets. I'm curios to see how it will be in the humid NYC summer season.

This jacket fits very well and has all the features I need for 4 season riding in my area. I like the Hi-Viz and think it helps the auto drivers to see me (IF THEY EVER LOOK UP FROM THEIR PHONE!) . I like the high end armor that it has and feel a little safer wearing it.

Needed a good all season jacket that was also more visible. Worn comfortably in freezing temps and hot summer days with all the vents opened during a multi-day trip away from home. Not as cool as mesh, but sufficient to also help keep me dry when the summer storms roll through.

Replacing a 6yr old Olympia AST (hi-viz). That jacket was good, but heavy, stuffy, and obnoxiously hi-viz (can be a very good thing) This one seems to have the best reviews for the price, and the Olympia MotoQuest just wasn't doing it for me. If I like it enough, I will be back for the Sand 2 pants.

Where is the hydration loop? It's on the jacket in the video, but not on mine (hi-viz), nor can I find it in any of the jackets in pictures. NOT HAPPY. This is one of the many features I liked about the jacket, and without the loop, it's going to be difficult to use a hydration bladder.
Kurtis F on Jun 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I could not find the hydration loop also on the jacket so this was a bit of a mystery to me. I don't use a hydration pack...yet that is...but if it is advertised as being there I think the manufacturer should have installed one. Maybe RevZilla can comment further on this.

Otherwise, a very nice multi purpose jacket, well made, takes a while to figure out all the various linings but once done this goes smoothly.
Are you planning on doing a brief overview video of this jacket so we can get a better look at this hi-viz version being worn?
