Watch That Zipper!
Rev'it Horizon Pants (XXL)
I purchased the Rev'it Horizon Jacket, and Rev'it Horizon Pants to replace my ageing winter gear in December of 2012. Since then, I've used the gear daily while commuting in and out of NYC (approximately 9 weeks, and 4,000 miles).
I visited RevZilla with these specific requests for the new gear:
Waterproof on the outside, not some silly removable waterproof liner.
Pants with the armour in the correct place, and snug enough that the armour did not move about.
A jacket that did not ride up when I sat on the motorcycle.
Pros:
Overall the Horizon pants are excellent. The most outstanding aspect of the pants is that they are waterproof! Not just waterproof, the pants actually shed water, so they don't become waterlogged, which aids in retaining warmth. I have yet to experience any leaking with the Horizon jacket and pants combo, be it rain, sleet, or snow during my daily commute.
The Horizon pants are neither heavy nor bulky, with the thermal liner installed they fit just like a pair of work jeans (I wear them over a thermal base layer). Less bulk means the Knox armour stays in place, yet I still have the freedom of motion necessary to operate the motorcycle.
The thermal liner used in the pants does a better job of insulating then the thermal liner used in the jacket, no micro-fleece needed until the temperatures drop below 20 degrees.
The Velcro at the pants cuffs has not shown any tendency to come undone as I've experienced with other Rev'it products.
Cons:
I have only one complaint with these pants, and that is the front (fly) zipper fails in short order. The zipper on the first pair of pants failed after 4 weeks of daily use, the pants were replaced by RevZilla. Unfortunately the second pair of pants fared no better then the first, indeed the zipper failed with only 10 days of daily use, again the pants were replaced by RevZilla. I wish I could say that the third time was the charm, alas that is not the case, the zipper has again failed. No more returns to RevZilla, this time I'll have to be the one that replaces the zipper.
Recommendations:
Improve the quality of the Zipper.
I think with a little more attention to the materials used in the Horizon pants and jacket, Rev'it could have an outstanding product. Regardless of my experiences with the poor zipper performance, I really like my Rev'it Horizon jacket and pants combination, and do recommend them whenever someone asks.

Good choice for dedicated cold weather pants but watch sizing
I purchased these pants for riding from late fall straight through winter to early spring. I also wanted a pant that would shed water on the outside (i.e. NOT by using a liner which allows pants to get cold and waterlogged on the outside). This pant fits the bill. It is very high quality, water and wind proof on the outside. The trade off is no venting. Anything over 75 deg F and you'll be sweating. So a great dedicated 1-2 season pant, but for a 4 season pant you'll need to look elsewhere. Also, if you are purchasing these mail order know that they fit very very small. Thankfully I purchased these at the Philadelphia store so I could try the different sizes on. I am 6 ft tall, 200 lbs with a 32" inseam. Normally I wear an L or XL in "US sized" riding pants. In this "Euro sized" REVIT! pant, the 3XL fit me best either as an over pant, or as regular pant with the thermal liner. And yes I said 3XL, this is not a typo! 2XL was too small and pulled tight in the thigh area once I sat on the bike with my knees bent in riding position (adventure bike position, not sport bike). Length on the 3XL was just about right for my inseam if not a little short. Sizing quirks aside, don't overlook this pant. It's a great choice if you are looking for a dedicated cold and wet weather pant.

Good pants but some what strange fit.
The quality of this product seems to be very good. All seems look strong and all of them looked to be intact when the product was received from Revzilla. I have used this product for about 400miles now. I have ridden in temperatures ranging from low 40s to high 70s. I use the pants as an over pant. In the lower temperatures I was very comfortable riding without the liner and just slacks underneath (the groin area started getting chilly after about 30min on the highway). With the liner low 30s should be no problem. There is no venting on the pants but I have ridden in high 70s with slacks underneath (no liner) I was very comfortable as long as I was moving. I have come across drizzles of rain and downpours and I have still to find any drips of water leaking thru the pants. Its waterproofness seems very good. I’m 5 9, 200 pounds, 32.5” inseam and a little bit of belly going on. I ordered the XXL first. But they were a bit to big in the waist and they were way to long in the legs. Got a pair of XL, length was very good on these. Waist was on the tight side but mainly they were very tight around the outside of my legs/butt. I removed the hip pads and that helped some. I know they are not meant to be used as an over pant but the fit issue is still there even if I use them without and slacks. But after a few miles in the saddle they have stretched a bit and the fit is now a lot better. The pants are very good and I’m happy with them but you might be able to find other pants with better fit and with venting for a better/similar price.

Great for Rain.
I absolutely love these pants for when I am in the rain.
Pros:
- Waterproof
- Comfortable
- True to size
- Great ankle velcro to tight up to boots
Cons
- No size Small Long/Tall.
- Since no Small Long/Tall rides a bit when on the bike
- When warm out and not raining - super hot pants and that is without the thermal liner

These run at least a size too small
I usually wear size 34" and fit in just about anything, this feels like a size 32". I took the LONG option so length was perfect for my 6'1" 190lbs build but it really felt like they were sized like jeans, I could only wear them without the liner or jeans on me. Also ordered the XL jacket (I usually wear Large) and same thing, too small, cant wear it with the warm liner, sleeve length was perfect to my surprised and I have long arms.
The cut and look of this suit is great, but make sure you can try it out in store cause the size charts are way way off. And really consider upgrading the armor, cause really they are pretty useless (thats why the 2 star rating on protection) the rest looks solid.

Great pants.
Outstanding service from Revzilla. The pants provides great protection and a lot of unique features. However, it is not very comfortable to wear, unlike a cheap snow pants. Perhaps that's why we have to sacrifice some comfort for safety...

This product is good!
Overall the product is good, however the air flow through the pants with the thermal out is marginal at best. Pants get very hot when in traffic/stop and go. O.K. when moving. There is a steel waist clip that isn't very durable. Most likely will break soon.

Great Pants
I ordered these as overpants, My measures are 5'10, 160 lb, and my size pants are 34 x 30.
I got the size L and fits perfectly, i'm a person who doesn't like to have the pants to tight, and this size gives a little space. I'm very happy about it.
