Don't know why Anthony says these fit American I wear an XL in Alpinestars. I ordered these in XL and they're too small. I have the Rev'It Sand Pro gloves in XXL and they fit me well (Anthony also claims those fit American), but in the Rev'It Bastion, which Anthony says fits European, I am closest to an XL. Lots of AIR I bought a pair of these bad boys after speaking with RevZilla, and while I was a little hesitant with other reviews saying that the glove has some weak points when getting the gloves on or off, I am glad I got them. The material does some a bit touchy towards the bottom of the glove where the palm area and the wrist come together. Be sure to grab the glove further up inside and grab it at the seam or higher, where the double stitch is, and pull from there. Pull a little lower, and you may see cuff pulling away from the palm. So far, I've had no problems with the glove. It flows a lot of air, and the protection seems nice. The seams are on the inside at the fingers, which sometimes does rub against one of my knuckles. BUT, after some break-in, things are starting to settle in just fine. Break-in doesnt take too long either. I havent crashed tested these, but the features listed seem adequate (reinforced leather in the palm, carbon knuckles, padding, etc). A little pricy in my opinion, but only because of the extra care I have to take when putting them on. Other than that, it's the best gloves I've purchased so far. Take a look at the A* SMx2 if you want a good alternative. Unfortunately, they didnt fit my hand too well, so I had to look at alternatives. Hope this helps someone. Keep on riding! April 5, 2014
Great air flow Very comfortable gloves with good air flow. This is a true size glove. March 31, 2014
Very nice glove I prefer a shorter glove that allows me to loosen my jacket cuff and let air flow through when the temps rise. You give up some wrist protection with this choice. But the Chevron has pretty good wrist protection. Otherwise this glove has fine protective features and a great sport look. They fit a bit looser than the Curb glove and that was better for me. They fit well after the break in. January 6, 2014
Trim and Finish - Ouch! So I ordered the 3 musketeers Chevron, SLR & Jerez, spreading the credit around for $110, $129 & $189. Guess which one stuck? I reviewed the QA issue with the buckle on the SLR and the Chevron looked like a keeper as a short hop summer gloves with a sharp design & a decent set of protection features that weren't expensively focused like the full-on Jerez. These gloves fit well, looked great and the seams where just where they needed to be. Overall, a solid choice with a minor sniggle about how the amount of material really didn't close up completely once the Velcro was secured. It left a little gap right down the base of the thumb to the wrist. The gloves were the correct size, the cut of the material was the real root issue. The elastic ribbon on the underside of the wrist is a piece of 1/8" material sewn on top of the inside of the glove. This causes a raise edge, which for me, fell right along the crease of my wrist. That extra strong thread quickly started to irritate my wrist every time I flexed up and down. If they had finished off the inside of the glove like the SLR, this glove would have stayed as the backup to my Jerez keeper. The Jerez being the more full out technical glove is kinda an expensive option for strictly street riding but who can tell just how much protection you really need when it gets hairy?? Ok so now I'm back in the hunt for a secondary, hot weather glove for the dog days of summer and a pair that won't leave me with a friction rub. The minor oversight aside, the way they allowed the elastic to be placed in the glove is a real show stopper unfortunately. Since it was separately sewn in I gave real thought to just removing the high spot thread but in the end had to return them. Darn shame as overall these gloves were a solid and fashionable 4.0 of earned excellence otherwise. October 28, 2013
Typical REV'IT workmanship. Typical REV'IT quality. They do run small so order a size up. Comfortable on long rides (250 miles +). Hands get cold as temps drop into the upper 50's. Remained comfortable into the low 90's. Would purchase again. October 28, 2013
Do not buy -- construction of cuff at velcro is defective Loved everything about these gloves -- style, comfort, and everything I wanted. After about 1 month of riding, I noticed exactly most of the other reviewers had complained about: holes forming right below the velcro pad on the cuff, in BOTH gloves. Really unfortunate, and I have to say, until the company corrects this, DO NOT buy them no matter how much you like them. September 30, 2013
perfect glove This glove fits perfect,I was looking for a glove that didn't have a extra long thumb which most brands have this is the perfect glove for me... I recommend this glove to everyone and advise other brands to shorten the thumb in their gloves also... September 30, 2013

A shopper asked: Hi, was wondering if you would recommend these gloves over the Revit Fly gloves? I am a daily rider who is looking for comfort and safety. Curious to know what you think. Aug 26, 2013

Austin A: Personally I do not own the Rev'it fly gloves nor do i know any one who does. However i was looking into them when i was in the market for a new pair of gloves. What i can say is Rev'it makes very good quality products and i have experienced this through the chevron glove. Viewing the pictures and video featured on Revzilla i can definitely tell you that the cuff on the fly is more low profile and would slide more easily under a jacket sleeve than the chevron but also offers less protection and padding. For me personally, when i was buying gloves, carbon fiber was a must for me. Not only the styling but the feeling of protection in the event of a crash is very important. Also I'm sure being produced by the same manufacturer the perforation on both gloves is very similar and the Chevron breath very nicely but are not going to let your hands freeze when you start getting into the 50-60 degree riding or early morning riding. As for comfort i can only speak on the side of the chevron. The external stitching is very nice and makes for a nice smooth interior of the glove. The glove does take about a week or two for them to fully break in. (maybe a little less for a daily rider) The pre curve of the fingers is also well done to where it is comfortable yet you still have full longevity of your fingers. The glove is also snug, not as in uncomfortable but in the idea that i know it will remain in place at all time. Overall I feel the Chevron gloves offer a bit more protection in the cuff, fingers and definitely knuckles and you can see that reflected in the price difference of the gloves. I would highly recommend the Chevron gloves to any daily or tour rider due to there quality construction and comfort but I would also feel confident in saying that the fly gloves are also a quality glove for the price. I hope this has helped you and if you have any more questions please ask!

Aaron N: REV'IT Chevron versus Fly? Hmmm. I personally prefer the slightly more track-inspired look and boxier fingers of the Chevron but just ever so slightly. The Fly wasn't available when I was shopping for gloves. I would have been asking the same question that you are now if the Fly had been available. Palm-wise, they look to be very similar and I would imagine the fit is very similar. I always wear a mesh jacket and the Chevron gloves can either go under or over the jacket cuff; I prefer over the cuff. I really think you're looking at a preference decision more than which is "better". This brand runs small so order a size larger than you normally would. Even when you have the correct size, they don't feel large enough until they stretch out--especially on your pinky finger. Sep 3, 2013

Christopher M: I have these gloves and wear them every time I ride which is almost daily. They are very comfertable and made very well. Protection wise with all the leather, padding, and hard shell knuckles and fingers, its like having a bullet proof vest on your hands. Fitting the gloves fit snug, but not too tight its a very good feel. The chevron gloves are not completely perferated like the fly gloves are, but there is the mesh between the fingers that let's in a generous amount of air. I have been caught in a heavy down poor and my hands were completely dry, but I never have sweaty hands with these gloves. All in all I would recommend spending the 20 extra dollars on the chevron gloves. Hope this helps you out.

George P: Yes I would recommend these for daily use because they are very comfortable and provide a lot of protection for the price. My problem with the gloves I have I figured is maybe due to a defective pair maybe and I unfortunately got that pair, but regardless they are good gloves I would recommend for daily use. Keep in mind though that you might end up having the same problem with them that I did. Its a risk you have to take with anything though made of leather Aug 27, 2013

William W: I don't have a personal experience with rev'it fly gloves, but the chevron gloves have been okay. They are comfortable and good looking. I just question some of the quality of the leather. Within a month of owning the gloves, the leather on the seam of where the Velcro is started to tear. And shortly after that another small tear began at the thumb seam along the palm of the same glove. But on a high note the other glove is pristine. Aug 27, 2013

Bruce M: Great gloves!!! I've only used them during the summer months so no experience in transitional weather. Ventilation is excellent. Material and workmanship is typical Revit quality which in my experience has been above average. Order a size larger than you normally do as they run a full size small. Aug 27, 2013

Wayne P: Yes i'm very happy with the Chevron glove. Very comfortable, good level of protection. My hand size is about 10 1/4 and the xxl fit like it was custom made for my hand. The Fly glove is also nice, but is a tighter fit in the same size, I keep them as an extra pair. Aug 27, 2013

Geoffrey M: I can't speak to the Fly gloves because I haven't tested them. I chose the Chevrons because of the little extra protection. For summer touring though, I think the Flys look fine. These gloves will fit tightly when you first buy them, but they do stretch a little. Aug 28, 2013

alan k: I have not used the the Revit Fly, but these gloves are my daily gloves and they are very comfortable. I had to trim some extra leather hanging from the seams on the inside to stop it from digging in a bit, but thats all I had to do. Aug 27, 2013

tom c: Would not recommend the Chevron gloves. They never seem to break in. Very uncomfortable, No real stretch panel, puts lots of unwanted pressure on the back of your hand. Dont Buy Aug 28, 2013
