Pro Grip Wheel Tape 4.1 5 82 82
GARBAGE Id give this a negative 5 stars if it was an option. Even after reading other reviews stating that this product is difficult to work with, at best, I gave it a try. The tape tore while taking off the clear keeper! After several attempts to get it applied to the wheel with multiple breaks, twist and nicks, I gave up. Save your money and do not buy this product. September 21, 2015
Looks great! I've just recently added a whole pile of parts to my FZ07, and this wheel tape stands out the most of anything. Easy to install. I was concerned about how much a single roll would cover based on some other reviews, but 1 roll did just fine and had a few extra feet left at the end. September 8, 2015
Good looks, difficult install. The tape looks good, not easy to install. Did mine on a warm day. The applicator works fair. unwinding the tape to hard or the tape applied in narrow sections. This was likely my fault. You best get 2 rolls to get it right. August 31, 2015
Absolute waste Got this as a gift to put on my girls r3, shipped super fast and everything, but this product was a complete waste. It doesn't stick to the rim for more than 5 minutes, the applicator and directions make no sense whatsoever. I'll never go with progrip on anything other than a tank pad again. ***BEWARE OF THIS GARBAGE!*** August 26, 2015
Totally Worthless This was a total waste of money. The "instructions" are worthless. The "applicator" is worthless. Absolutely no idea how you are supposed to put this stuff on. After 30 minutes of trying to figure it out, I just tossed it in the trash. Lesson learned and $15 wasted. August 12, 2015
Worked perfectly Applied it to my 2012 CBR1000RR. Worked flawlessly with the applicator. A lot of people in the reviews complained of botched applications and the tape ripping or skewing. I avoided these issues with 1. I applied the tape on a very hot day, and left the roll of tape in the sun for a few minutes. It became very malleable and easy to work with. 2. I threaded the tape in the applicator and then throughout the procedure I had my thumb pushing the applicator from behind while at the same time applying pressure to the tape as it was coming out of the applicator and onto the wheel rim. This ensured for a proper alignment and adhesion. There was enough tape to do both wheels on both sides, with about 6 inches leftover which I'll be keeping for touch-ups if needed. Tape is very reflective and looks amazing! August 3, 2015
Good product, could use a better applicator. I like the way this tape reflects at night. Time will tell how long it'll stay on. July 20, 2015
Awesome Just recently received this Pro Grip Wheel Tape. I think it's a little difficult to put on with just myself. For my first try, I did alright. I ripped the tape a few times and it wasn't even throughout the rim. I couldn't reach the whole rim without stopping and rolling bike. I recommend 2 people. 1 to hold and roll bike, the other to apply it. Honestly, I still love how it came out. I already bought another pack just to try it out again with someone else. Went out right after riding, received compliments and a lot of looks!! Don't worry about messing up the first time everyone, it peels off fast with a fingernail and it's only $20 for another roll. Good luck! June 7, 2015

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Miguel C: If you take your time and do it carefully you can get both rims done. If u don't trust yourself get two. At least if u don't mess up you have an extra one for future use. But you really only need one. Make sure you clean the heck out of your rims though and watch YouTube vids. Helps a great deal! Good luck! May 22, 2014

Jeffrey H: I think you can get both tires. So far I only used it to cover the front tire both sides. It looks like there might be enough for the other tire. To be safe I would order two. Hope this helps. May 23, 2014

Daniel N: Per the description, you can do both sides of two wheels. I got an extra roll as I needed some practice and ended up using some of the second roll as well but there was enough in one roll. May 22, 2014

Doug H: One roll was good for both sides of both my tires (19 front 17 rear) with barely anything left. No room for a redo here, but it is pretty simple to apply. May 22, 2014

A shopper asked: Can this tape be put over the original tape that the bike come with or would I have to remove the original tape first? If I have to remove the original tape first what is the best way to remove it? Jul 29, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jeremy G: I would definitely remove the stock tape first, then clean the rims before applying the pro grip tape. The first time I did both wheels with no stand but it wasn't easy, I would recommend having a front and rear tire stand to make application a breeze. Jul 29, 2014
Reply to Jeremy Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Doug H: I would think it would look messy with the old tape underneath, even if it is the same color. It may not sit flat either.

You could try a heat gun to get the old stuff off, or maybe some Goo Gone.

Adrian Felipe A: This tape, doesn't resist almost 2 changes of tires...inevitable..always falls down Aug 13, 2014
A shopper asked: So if the pink tape is florescent, does it reflect pink when a light hits it? Or is it dull during the night? Jan 27, 2014

Shlomo C: I have the red tape and it is very much reflective! Jan 27, 2014

Isaac M: Only if it's reflective, fluorescent pink is just a bright pink nothing reflective Jan 27, 2014

JOSE R: I've used this tape on several bike and it work just fine on the rims. when placing on a rim it does not require much flexing, but if you need to curve it, you might what to heat up the tape a bit. Mar 7, 2015

A shopper asked: Does Pro Grip work on all diameter wheels? I'd like to put some on my 650 Burgman (14 &15inch wheels) and have seen some offerings that differentiate by wheel size. Fingers crossed... Feb 27, 2015

Thuan N: They are made to fully cover both sides of 17 inch rims so they will be plenty enough for 14 and 15 inch. unless you're referring to the width of the tape itself then i think standard is 7mm which is like 5/16 inch. Feb 27, 2015
