CLEAN YOUR WHEEL I made the mistake of just cleaning the surface that the tape went on and not the rest of the wheel, and the applicator rubbing the wheel knocked dust and grime under the tape and it wouldn't stick. MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN YOUR WHEEL AND TAKE YOUR TIME! As long as you do that it looks amazing and the reflective blue matches my blue bike perfectly. Wish it came with more tape though. May 11, 2015
6" short on CRF250L This tape looks great, goes on fairly easily to the CRF250L once you learn that the tool can bend. Only down side is that it came up 6" short for my bike. (I had 2" of waste so it's actually 8" short.) Guess I should not have took the "Enough for both sides of two wheels" as truth and instead paid attention to the length. Lesson learned. I may just remove the tape from the other side of the rear tire, or I'll order another pack. May 10, 2015
Works good but... Well the Pro Grip wheel tape works amazingly! But... That's if you can get it right the first time. When they say there's enough for both sides of two wheels they mean that sparingly. As in do not make any mistakes putting it on. The applicator works nice once you get the hand of it. I'm rating it very mediocre for this reason. It works good and all, but for about $15 you'd figure they could give an extra few feet since it costs roughly like 25 cents to produce a roll... All in all the tape does what it says it'll do, looks good. But if its you're first time I'd reccomend getting two rolls because you will mess up. And don't even attempt without a stand haha April 13, 2015
No The tape was hard to put on even with the tool.. Very uneven and overlapping. Waste of money March 11, 2015
Nothing special but gets the job done Just put this on yesterday and overall, like the title says...it's OK. I barely had just enough to do both tires on both sides but the applicator tool is nice. The tape does feel a little cheap however and I'd be surprised if it lasts over six months. It does look nice on my bike though and the color is slightly darker than I expected (green) but matches the kawi green pretty well. March 9, 2015
Nice touch for the rims The rim tape was a little tricky to put on at first. It stretched a few times while placing it around the rim. Luckly I was able to spare a few of the peices and finished the job. I wish there would have been just a bit more. Other then that it looks great! February 3, 2015
looks good, but not as reflective as I thought The tape is reflective, but not as reflective as I thought December 1, 2014
Very reflective and looks Great There was definitely enough to do both sides of both of my 17" wheels. I cleaned the wheels thoroughly before I installed them. The only thing I think I would do differently is make sure you install this stuff when it is warm out. I installed it in a very cold garage and the tape didn't curve as easily as it could have. I brought it out from a warm house and the first side went on great but the second (as the tape got cold) was more difficult. Not the tapes fault. Dot it when its WARM. November 26, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Miguel C: If you take your time and do it carefully you can get both rims done. If u don't trust yourself get two. At least if u don't mess up you have an extra one for future use. But you really only need one. Make sure you clean the heck out of your rims though and watch YouTube vids. Helps a great deal! Good luck! May 22, 2014

Jeffrey H: I think you can get both tires. So far I only used it to cover the front tire both sides. It looks like there might be enough for the other tire. To be safe I would order two. Hope this helps. May 23, 2014

Daniel N: Per the description, you can do both sides of two wheels. I got an extra roll as I needed some practice and ended up using some of the second roll as well but there was enough in one roll. May 22, 2014

Doug H: One roll was good for both sides of both my tires (19 front 17 rear) with barely anything left. No room for a redo here, but it is pretty simple to apply. May 22, 2014

A shopper asked: Can this tape be put over the original tape that the bike come with or would I have to remove the original tape first? If I have to remove the original tape first what is the best way to remove it? Jul 29, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jeremy G: I would definitely remove the stock tape first, then clean the rims before applying the pro grip tape. The first time I did both wheels with no stand but it wasn't easy, I would recommend having a front and rear tire stand to make application a breeze. Jul 29, 2014
Reply to Jeremy Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Doug H: I would think it would look messy with the old tape underneath, even if it is the same color. It may not sit flat either.

You could try a heat gun to get the old stuff off, or maybe some Goo Gone.

JOSE R: I've used this tape on several bike and it work just fine on the rims. when placing on a rim it does not require much flexing, but if you need to curve it, you might what to heat up the tape a bit. Mar 7, 2015

A shopper asked: Does Pro Grip work on all diameter wheels? I'd like to put some on my 650 Burgman (14 &15inch wheels) and have seen some offerings that differentiate by wheel size. Fingers crossed... Feb 27, 2015

Thuan N: They are made to fully cover both sides of 17 inch rims so they will be plenty enough for 14 and 15 inch. unless you're referring to the width of the tape itself then i think standard is 7mm which is like 5/16 inch. Feb 27, 2015

dale h: buy an extra roll you will need it there is a learning curve to it. Mar 11, 2015
