Pro Grip Wheel Tape 4.2 5 54 54
Nice product but a little tricky on the install! The tape is reflective like advertised and the install was a little dicey for me. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so the very small creases bothered me which opted for a 2nd kit ordered since I only had coverage for a wheel and a half. The tool supplied works well but the right amount of force running the line on the lip is key. Overall pretty pleased with the look on my 08' Speed Triple and as always ,Revzilla dominates the industry with customer service and speedy shipping hands down from there competitors. August 11, 2014
Shiny The applicator proved not to be useful. In the end, I didn't need it. August 5, 2014
Easy to apply, looks great, hasn't come off I cleaned my wheels up good before starting. Once I did this just propped the bike up on some stands. There was enough material included to do both sides of both wheels with some extra for trimming. Push down hard with the applicator and spin the wheel with the other hand. Be sure to run your finger back over the tape after every 6" or so, otherwise it might pop off on you. It's only been a week but its stayed on even after I rode through the rain and washed my bike. Great look, easy enough application. Red matches the fz09 red perfectly. Application was pretty straight forward, but grab 2 just to be safe. July 28, 2014
Looks good once installed It took me half of a rim to learn that slow and steady is the best way to install this tape. Once I learned, it went on easily and nicely. July 18, 2014
Looks Amazing I found the applicator to not work really well for me, but I had a friend to help. Did half of a wheel by hand, then rolled the bike to get at the other half. No kinks or anything. I was worried about it peeling off, but I've had them on for a couple weeks now and they are still perfect. July 14, 2014
Looks awsome, hard to apply perfectly Tape looks great but takes some patience to get right. July 14, 2014
Great look, but tears very easy The product looks great on the bike however using the applicator stretches and thins the tape. And if you pull to thin the tape tears June 30, 2014

Brandon G asked: How many tires can one roll of this tape cover? May 22, 2014

Miguel C: If you take your time and do it carefully you can get both rims done. If u don't trust yourself get two. At least if u don't mess up you have an extra one for future use. But you really only need one. Make sure you clean the heck out of your rims though and watch YouTube vids. Helps a great deal! Good luck! May 22, 2014

Jeffrey H: I think you can get both tires. So far I only used it to cover the front tire both sides. It looks like there might be enough for the other tire. To be safe I would order two. Hope this helps. May 23, 2014

Daniel N: Per the description, you can do both sides of two wheels. I got an extra roll as I needed some practice and ended up using some of the second roll as well but there was enough in one roll. May 22, 2014

Doug H: One roll was good for both sides of both my tires (19 front 17 rear) with barely anything left. No room for a redo here, but it is pretty simple to apply. May 22, 2014

Marc J: Two wheels both sides. There is very little extra. I fouled up one side and did not have enough tape to finish. May 22, 2014

A shopper asked: Can this tape be put over the original tape that the bike come with or would I have to remove the original tape first? If I have to remove the original tape first what is the best way to remove it? Jul 29, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jeremy G: I would definitely remove the stock tape first, then clean the rims before applying the pro grip tape. The first time I did both wheels with no stand but it wasn't easy, I would recommend having a front and rear tire stand to make application a breeze. Jul 29, 2014
Reply to Jeremy Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Doug H: I would think it would look messy with the old tape underneath, even if it is the same color. It may not sit flat either.

You could try a heat gun to get the old stuff off, or maybe some Goo Gone.

A shopper asked: So if the pink tape is florescent, does it reflect pink when a light hits it? Or is it dull during the night? Jan 27, 2014

Isaac M: Only if it's reflective, fluorescent pink is just a bright pink nothing reflective Jan 27, 2014
