Powerlet Rigid Powerlet to Cigarette Socket Adapter
Does what it says on the box
Not much to say about this Powerlet to Cigarette Socket Adapter except that it works faultlessly.

Good quality product... Stands pretty high on top of the Powerlet female plug, when plugged-in....

Fits Perfect Triumph Tiger Explorer
This adaptor is great for my Explorer, it fits in really well in the OEM front BMW-style outlet right below the handlebars.
Overall the quality isn't amazing, just made of plastic and not very heavy in the hand. I think I will go ahead and wrap it in duct tape to be on the safe side. But for the price, it's one of the cheaper adaptors out there and is great for using the myriad of cigarette-specific charging doo-hickies I have. Time will tell.....

Plastic housing broke off only 2 miles into first use.
I bought this adapter to power various electronic gadgets that have standard 12V sockets for my ride to the recent MotoGP race in Indianapolis. Only 2 miles into my ride to meet up with my friends for the journey, I see two halves of the plastic housing blow off the bike onto the highway leaving only the inner contacts and my GPS socket sparking off the contact points. I pulled the adapter out and threw it in my tank bag, and I was without usage of my electronic equipment for the 1000mile roundtrip journey.

Charging my Iphone
I needed a way to charge my Iphone while on the road from my BMW powerlet outlet. I already had a car plug to lightening plug but needed a way to connect to my bike. This was it. I run the cable into my tank bag. Works as advertised. Any 12V power plug will work. Never became loose.

Quality part for a good price
This part does the job, it allows me to actually use the otherwise useless Powerlet socket on my Tiger 800. It seems to be built pretty sturdy. The only thing I'd like to have is a waterproof cover so I could leave it on the bike all the time.

Works for me
I have a Triumph Explorer and this works just as I expected.

If your bike has Powerlet...
Yes, Powerlet seems like such a scam - just to make you buy a new connector for all your gear that works perfectly fine with SAE or cigarette lighter plugs. But your bike has one anyway, so you could either drill it out and put in a cigarette lighter or you could go with this guy. Save yourself the hassle, go with this. Solid build quality, and it definitely doesn't go anywhere when you've plugged in your cell phone and you're cruising on the highway. Your cigarette lighter plug, on the other hand, might slip out... but that's because they're generally designed pretty poorly and don't actually grip well enough to stay in against vibrations. So just duct tape it to this guy, and you're all set.
