This is a really great product! I already own two of these and am impressed with the quality and ease of application. I have one mounted on my dual sport to power my GPS with topography maps and the other on my road bike. I'm going to install these on my wife's dual sport and road bike. Good product and well made.

Does this have a vampire drain, like the double USB version if it's hooked up directly to the battery?
MrsBunny on Sep 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, this socket does not drain the battery unless it has something plugged into it. It can be hooked directly to the battery, but be sure to use the inline fuse provided with the kit.
