Works with Apple iPhone 5 / 5S / 5C. Cable mounted weatherproof in-line regulator assures the voltage is properly stepped down to operate a player. Also works with newest versions of iPod Touch & iPad!
Short - 12" long version complete with a straight Powerlet plug
Standard - 36" coiled lead length complete with a Powerlet right angle plug
It's a powerlet iPhone charger..
The short length is good for phone mounts near to a powerlet outlet. No long cables to deal with or tie up. 4 stars since these are pricey for what they are in my opinion.

Not so good
I had one of these for my iPhone 4S that didn't work reliably.
I bought another once I went to the 5S. This one does not work reliably as well either. I have to try to get it to work.
Sometime plugging it in then starting the bike works. Sometimes starting the bike then plugging it in works. I routinely get an error on my phone stating the accessory cable being used is not compatible.
The last time I had my bike serviced I had them check my electrical system to see if it was my bike. My bike checked out fine.
So I have spent about $100.00 with this company and have 2 pretty much useless cables.
2 star because I got this to work once without having to mess with it.

May not work with iPhone5
I have several Powerlet products and have been happy with all of them. I have the dual USB plug and it works with a standard lightening Apple cable just fine. However, when I plug this cable in, a message comes up on the iPhone screen, "this is not an approved device," and the phone fails to charge. I suspect that the regulator may be stepped down too far. Pretty disappointing given the price of the cable. Haven't yet tried on my iPad, so am hoping its not a total wash.

Plug and play, charge, listen, talk, navigate, etc.
Works great with the newest Apple 5 Iphone software 7.1. I have a few other Powerlet products, all have worked perfectly, and are very well made. The price is a bit high, but supporting a company the actually makes items in the US with a lifetime warranty is worth a few extra dollars.

Craig S asked:Will this powerlet plug work on the socket by the handlebars on the 2013 Triumph Tiger 800?Jun 11, 2014
Maria V:The short one works great with my 2014 Tiger 800. I did not have to buy anything else, just plugged right into the handlebar socket. I first ordered the long one because the short one was out of stock but had to return it because it was not charging my phone. I have a RAM mount on my handlebars that my phone sits in. I'm very happy with the short one!Jun 12, 2014
