Works like it is supposed to. I have to be honest and say that I have not tested this against other stands. That being said, I feel this stand is a great and functional product. With the swing arm spools installed, it functions as it should. Build quality is sturdy(rather than carrying it down stairs you could probably just let it tumble down and save yourself the hassle). The finish is aesthetically pleasing and will undoubtedly prove corrosion resistant. I ordered it with the removable handle on account of someone on here saying it was handy... They were right... It's pretty handy. So if you get it, I recommend you get the removable handle too. Overall, in my month or so of ownership with this stand I feel it was worth it. And Revzilla... Well they're awesome. Thumbs up for great service! So, buy it and buy it from Revzilla, I'm confident you won't regret it. November 26, 2015
High Quality This is the king of all rear stands. Great welds and a superb finish. Really, the only gripe I have is the "quick release" levers for adjusting width wont stay tight so I just removed them and use a wrench. November 23, 2015
Easy to lift the bike Last year I got my first motorcycle with a chain in nearly 20 years. Cleaning and lubing the chain with just the roller wheel I had was more of a pain without a stand. I picked up the Pit Bull stand and it is very easy to use. Quick to align and lift the bike and cleaning the chain is much easier than before. Only gripe is that the tightening mechanism could be improved, since the spacing on my bike doesn't allow it to fully close with the hand lever. Addressable with a wrench, but would have been nice to fully do it by hand. October 19, 2015
Works exactly as advertised. The rear stand and spool kit took under ten minutes to set up. It's a very simple and effective design. The removable handle is a nice touch for those short on space. October 12, 2015
Great product, Would only change one thing. I have had the stand for about a month now. It works great for what it is. Good quality build and all. The only thing i would have liked for it to have different would be for it to have rubber or plastic caps over the ends of the forks that go under the spools. Might just be user error but sometimes I manage to miss the spool on one side and end up pushing the fork against the swing arm of the bike. Also, A thumb lever for the quick detach handle would make it quicker. just my opinion, works just fine without it. With all of that being said, Great stand!!! September 28, 2015
Pit bull rear stand Highly recommend pit bulls rear stand! Very well built and strong. Made to last a very super long time. Easy to use with 1 person when cleaning chains or racing purposes! September 21, 2015
Easy to use; hard to destroy... I'm not mechanically inclined and I break things easily. The pit bull is 'out of the box' ready to use, simple to adjust to any bike, and impossible to destroy. Now I might even learn how to keep my chain... tuned. September 21, 2015
Excellent stand I used this stand several times already. Very easy to use and set up. Strong and stable. A bit pricy but it can be used with most bikes out there and it will last forever. So, worth the money. September 19, 2015

Kevin B: I've heard good things about these stands, so figured I would purchase them instead of going with another brand. Other brands seem to have mixed reviews, and lots of threads I read people went through multiple stands before paying more for these ones and recommended just spending more money on these upfront and not more in the long run because other stands fail or break. So I did just that. Jul 5, 2014
Richard B: I like that it's hybrid and that the handle is removable. My garage is pretty active with people walking around so not worrying about tripping over things is good. Jul 3, 2014
Lawrence P: Pitbull makes long lasting durable products. I don't trust a brand that can't brag about how durable and sturdy their product is. I don't have a problem paying for quality. I know this is the last rear stand I'll have to buy. The only con I can forsee is for the standard lift option (non-spool) uses rubber pads which don't stay in place and I've seen them decay on other pitbull stands. I can probably glue them down again because once you lift a bike a few times they come loose. Jun 30, 2014
Joe G: Pit Bull's reputation for quality along with many positive reviews. Jun 25, 2014
Scott D: To do maintaince myself, it will save me money in the long run. Jun 19, 2014

Darin W: Will fit multiple bikes, high quality product with great reviews May 30, 2014
Rachel M: After spending a few hours researching which stand would be best for my bike ('13 CBR500R) and my needs, I decided the Pit Bull SS was my best bet. I don't want to have to worry about whether the stand I buy is going to last or if I'm going to have trouble using it, and it's good to know that this one lifts bikes with or without the spools... so if I buy a new bike in the next year or so, I can still use the same stand! May 18, 2014
A s: I have read and seen nothing but solid reviews about a basic but well made product. Go with the best brand for the best results May 16, 2014
Brian V: The great reviews put it in good standing (HA!!!). Plus, no 'convenient' way to add spools to 2013 Honda CBR500R... Why Honda, why??? May 10, 2014
Shawn G: High build quality as well as high customer satisfaction post purchase. May 2, 2014

I will be ordering more Pit Bull rear and front stands for the rest of my bikes!

Keith N: Because the cheapo stand I have is awful. Sep 8, 2013

Zachary G asked: How wide are these stands? I have a 2005 ZRX1200R and the stand that I bought is not wide enough for the spools to rest properly. And I have a framed swing arm and I was specifically told not to use the paddocks on my style of swing arm. Dec 4, 2014

Daniel S: Hi Mateo G. I'm Pretty Sure This Stand Will Work On Your R6. Spool Sizes Will Vary Among Brands I Do Know That. The Spool Size For My CBR Is Different Than On The R6 But The Stand Is Very Versatile And It's Meant To Work On A Myriad Of Bikes. To Be Absolutely Sure Contact The Reps @ Revzilla. They're Awesome And Are Always Willing To help. You Can Also Contact Pit Bull Directly. I Will Say It Is A Great Stand. One Of The Best If Not The Best Out There. Good Luck Jun 14, 2014

Tanner C: Yes! this stand is fantastic and I have used it on R6's, Cb750s, My old Rc8, R1's and even a sportster. The adjustable sides allow a universal fit. Spend the extra money for the axle holder and removable handle as they come in handy.

As in the picture, and any other pitbull items, get the hybrids or most universal stand they make and you will be happy for years to come on almost any bike.

Jose A: I added spools to my 2012 CBR1000RR & my bulldog stand works great
Very stable
Look at spools that will fit on your bike & you should be fine. You need the spools to be attached to the bike for the stand to work
Kind regards

A shopper asked: I have a 2012 Kawasaki ZX6R and since winter and rainy season is almost here. Im wondering if this Pit Bull SS Rear Stand will work on my bike? Oct 29, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Scott S: If you have spools on your bike, it will work. If you don't have spools, it will almost certainly work.

The stand feels a little more solid when used with spools; the spools drop into V shaped cutouts on the stand, and there's no danger of them slipping off, like can happen with the standard pads (if you don't follow the directions correctly).

I've not confirmed with your specific bike, but most Kawi's use 10mm spools; there should be several sets available here on the 'Zilla that will work.
Oct 29, 2013
Reply to Scott Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Nicolas L: This stand will work with your ZX6R: you have to option to either buy swingarm spools that fit your bike (Kawasaki is typically 10mm thread size), or to use the standard stand mode on the SS stand.

When you do end up putting your bike on the stand, I recommend having someone help you hold the bike to make sure it doesn't tip over until you get a good feel for how to use the stand.

Daniel S: The Pitbull website states that the stand fits virtually all sport bikes. If you have any questions try calling them directly before placing your order. Their direct number is 877-533-1977 or 256-533-1977. Hope this helps. Good luck Oct 29, 2013

Bradly M: It works really well. You need to get the spools for the rear and if you have the stock exhaust you can't use the right side spool while riding because it will make contact with the exhaust. Oct 29, 2013
Reply to Bradly Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Michael F: It should. I have a 2012 CBR 250R and that's a lot more narrow than yours. The stand is adjustable and works with or without spools, so you should have no problems. Oct 29, 2013

Andrew T: This is a great product, very solid build quality. The combo spools are adjustable and I have used them on a variety of bikes. BEWARE- when using this lift on bikes without rear spools, the bike CAN slip off of the stand very easily regardless of how well the stand/bike is secured. When using the lift WITH spools, it works like a charm. Oct 14, 2015
