great pants very good air flow Size is true to fit. Has very good air flow. Lots of pockets. the only down side is the length which is to long and the knee protectors are kind of low. November 17, 2014
Airflow! These pants offer some of the best airflow that I have seen. Good for summer riding in the desert with out losing protection. The shorts feature is nice but not really practical for me. Highly recommended. October 20, 2014
Great Pants I wanted some mesh pants that weren't all black or multicolored and these are a great option. The pewter is a nice dark gray and it goes well with my hi-vis Revit Airwave jacket. I'm 6'3" and normally wear a 34x34 and the sizing is very good. The 34s fit me fine and are long enough as well, no hemming necessary. The mesh moves a lot more air than my riding jeans and the knee armor is comfortable. I don't know how often I'll make use of the shorts conversion, but it's a nice option to have. September 9, 2014
These pants are working great for me I needed some summer riding pants and these are working well. Leg length is fine and in the summer heat, the ability to zip off the legs to cargo shorts as soon as I arrived at my destination has proved to be a more beneficial feature than anticipated. The venting is good and I would certainly buy them again. September 3, 2014
Almost perfect adventure pants This is a review for the previous version of these pants which is pretty much the same as this one. I want to say I absolutely love these pants. They are comfortable, they have tons of venting especially in the crotchal area. I love the cargo pockets. My NUMBER ONE gripe about these pants is the feature to turn them into shorts. I don't use them as shorts but around the zipper area and I'm guessing where the pads are there is some velcro. This velcro (or whatever it is) it irratiates my skin, scratches it etc... I like to wear underpants (spandex) with these pants (which solves the irritation) and it scratches on my underpants and leaves them all fuzzy, will probably wear a hole in it eventually. Other than that my only other gripe is that the pockets, the regular side pockets, feel kind of flimsy. It feels as if after a while you'll wear a hole in them, but it hasn't happened yet. I try not to put my keys in there, I use the cargo pockets more which I do love. The fit is great, it fits me well, I wear a 32 and I got a 32. The armor is in the right spots, I didn't need to adjust em. Even when I just do offroad I ride with these, because I don't have to put on safety gear its built in! Great for a warm weather pants, for rain I'm sure my crotch will get soaked O_o'. So Olympia I love the price, fit, and protections on these but I don't like the convertible shorts feature, please make a version of these without that feature and I'll give you 5 stars across the board! Easy BreeZy First time ever riding and feeling a breeze on my legs. I'm not one to wear shorts so this is a great second. The zip off legs are easy to remove and quick to put back on. The zippers and velcro around the leg are adjustable enough for both my street boots and off road boots, which are vastly different. The adjustable armor is terrific. Due to my size I purchased the X-large making the legs a little long but the armor is just where it needs to be. Front pockets are mostly useless due to being small but the back pockets make up for that. LOVE them. July 21, 2014
Does what it says. Cool and comfortable. Left on a two-week ride from PA to Nova Scotia just after purchase. Lots of days in the 90's and these were much cooler than my other gear I've used for years. Very pleased. My only need is that I take a 32" waist but am over 6' tall so I'd like a little more length in the 32's or make a tall version. Otherwise great. July 14, 2014
Woman can wear these too I was in the market for riding pants for hot weather (80F+) and women's options are limited. I also wanted a lighter color so that I didn't cook in all black. These pants have it all. I bought the pewter color in size 34 (I wear woman's size 9, 5'6" tall) and I can wear shorts or capris underneath without feeling squeezed. The ventilation is excellent and they're easy to get on/off over boots. They're too long on me and the excess material gets caught on my pegs and kickstand. I'm not sure what is meant by "easy hem" but my tailor charged me $45 to hem them and reposition the Velcro at the bottom. I really appreciate all the cargo pockets since I don't carry a purse when I ride. They have a ski-pants feel and are a little stiff but the protection feels right and is worth it. They zip into my Fulmer jacket perfectly. I understand there's a rain liner sold separately which is a good by if it rains in the summer where you live/ride. I don't see much rain where I ride so not an issue. June 9, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Warren H: Airflow is the main reason for choosing these pants as it gets pretty hot where I am situated. They also have the protective armour, plenty of pockets, dry quickly, are adjustable and are worn outside the boot. Anything remotely similar to these through BMW started at 330 AUD. Looking forward to getting hold of them as we are coming into summer in OZ and all reports are it is going to be a scorcher. Hope the pants live up to their reputation. Nov 10, 2014
Martin C: very very good comments, fit with the Dakar jacket and the price seems to be fair. Oct 3, 2014
Thomas L: Good feedback from other people who have them. Aug 11, 2014
William M: High reviews , love that it is true to American sizing ! Good looking pant, and is convertible to shorts ! Jul 18, 2014
John G: style and function May 14, 2014
William H: So I can ride to the hiking trails and convert to shorts. Mar 24, 2014
toby e: I have other Olympia products and have been very happy with durability, quality, fit, function. Feb 24, 2014
Nathan B: 3 Seaon Pant with cargo pockets and the ability to transform into cargo shorts for off the bike trail walking. Feb 23, 2014
Corey H: I like the option of the shorts, and adjustment of the length. Jan 9, 2014
Abdulla A asked: Would these pants burn easily on the bike's exhaust? Jul 9, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Nathan B: I would lean towards yes; the inner calf regions where one typically finds heat resistant material do not have such protection. There are mesh panels to allow for wind flow; while they may withstand higher temps I personally would not risk it. Jul 9, 2014

Hugues-Frederic B: I will not test them. I would guess so, they are made of synthetic material. They are not to saggy so they would not flap around and melt, but they are not the Olympia MotoQuest who have leather on the inside of the leg. I love both! Jul 9, 2014

toby e: I haven't burned mine yet. I have been riding with Olympia gear for about 6 years. been down many a times and still holding up. Jacket I melted the zipper laying it across the exhaust pipe had to get the zipper replaced. Jul 10, 2014

Phillip B: "Easily"? Subjective term, but all 'plastic/oil based' synthetics will melt when they come in contact with an exhaust that is often over 1,000 degrees F. Burn no; melt yes. Only Nomex could take that level of heat. Jul 9, 2014

Kevin L: No they do not burn the only problem is the zipper on the leg will flap in the wind and cut your leg Jul 9, 2014

john d asked: The jacket that matches these pants has a rain liner. To get rain protection with the pants and complete the set, what should I do on my lower half? Jun 2, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Alex L: john, you have a few options to get rain protection with these pants. You could either get an over the pants rain pant like the Olympia Horizon Rain Pants (option I took) or find a rain liner to go underneath if keeping the look of the "complete set" is important. Jun 2, 2014
Reply to Alex Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Phillip B: With either my Dakar pants or jacket I plan to use my separate two piece [Tourmaster] rain gear.

Prefer to have jacket dry and pants have zero rain protection.

john d: I like the idea of rain gear over the jacket and pants so when the rain stops, the gear isn't wet. Thanks for the responses guys. I'm thinking horizon two piece suit or something like the one piece dainese rain suit. Jun 2, 2014

Patrick D: The pants are not water proof. I believe Olympia makes pants with a rain liner in it. But not with this pair. Jun 2, 2014

Jacket Size Guidelines
We suggest you use these size charts as a general guide. Variables in weight distribution and height may alter the appropriate size range indicated. As a general rule Olympia Jackets are designed in America, with an "American" body in mind. As such, you will find that Olympia tend to fit more generously than European brands (such as REV'IT!, Dainese, Alpinestars and Spidi). If you are in between sizes, we recommend to you to err on the smaller side.

Pant Sizing Guidelines
Olympia pants fit true to size. If you intend on using them as over pants, please go one size up.

Inseam Lengths
Olympia pants are cut with generous inseams to accommodate various riding positions. Olympia EZ hem bottoms (can be hemmed up to six inches) and adjustable knee armor help riders achieve a custom fit
