Jacket Size Guidelines
We suggest you use these size charts as a general guide. Variables in weight distribution and height may alter the appropriate size range indicated. As a general rule Olympia Jackets are designed in America, with an "American" body in mind. As such, you will find that Olympia tend to fit more generously than European brands (such as REV'IT!, Dainese, Alpinestars and Spidi). If you are in between sizes, we recommend to you to err on the smaller side.

Pant Sizing Guidelines
Olympia pants fit true to size. If you intend on using them as over pants, please go one size up.

Inseam Lengths
Olympia pants are cut with generous inseams to accommodate various riding positions. Olympia EZ hem bottoms (can be hemmed up to six inches) and adjustable knee armor help riders achieve a custom fit

This quality of the lining is very high. Durable material This quality of the lining is very high. Durable material. Loved it! November 16, 2015
Poor protection but great comfort Its really breathable and the pockets helps alot with carrying stuff but protection wise its not so great. low sided at about 30-35 on to my right side and everything on the right side of the pants became completely shredded by the grounds. September 5, 2015
Fits my work pants and then some I like these pants. I am a commuter and can wear my dress pants under these to work. It's summer now, and I am not sure how it will fair in fall weather, but we will see if it can last as long as my Air glide 4 jacket. The butt and thighs are a little narrow for me, which is no surprise, because I have this problem with most off the self paints, so the knee pads and shines tend to shift on me so I don't know where they will end up if I do have to test them in a fall. It would be great if they had straps for the pads like my jackets elbow pads so I could hold them in place. August 17, 2015
I really wanted to like these Pants So I think I left someone a comment rather than posting my own review so here I am writing everything over again. I'm a 34/32 in jeans and some are snugger than others (Depending on the brand). I wear shorts everyday to work and wanted a cooler pair of riding pants to wear over my shorts and for weekend rides. It's back to the drawing board for me as these pants just didn't cut it for me. I first got the 34's and they were very snug. it was like putting on a pair of skinny jeans. Had a muffin top popping out everywhere. Not a good look or a good feel. I then got a pair of 36's that I figured would be sweet. I was wrong. They do fit more comfortably but still just not a comfortable pant that I see wearing all day long. The seams from the Shorts were rubbing on my legs and i can see that becoming very irritating on a long ride. Also the pad velcro always snagged on my feet as I slipped these on and i was constantly reaching down the pant leg to reattach the velcro so it wasn't scratching my leg. I love all the pockets and ventilation but they just don't work out for me. Hope this helps in your decision making. August 10, 2015
Great riding pants for trips These riding pants are pretty awesome. The ability to switch them into shorts is amazing to have in the summer. I ride where i want and then switch to something cool to hang out in if i didn't bring spare clothes. The pants seem a little baggy when wearing them, but when on the bike it's for the better since it provided extra room for you. They flow air really well and don't get hot at all compared to jeans. August 10, 2015
These are the pants you've been looking for To start off, I've had a devil of a time finding pants that can double as both overpants for commuting, and regular pants weekend rides. To make matters worse, I'm 6'5, and my jeans are a 36x34, and I live in Tucson, AZ, so I needed something with a lot of airflow. These pants are *exactly* what I needed, the mesh allows a ton of airflow, and there are more pockets than you can shake a stick at. The cut of the pants is extremely similar to my Levi's 505 jeans, so I can wear them over jeans and not have a lot of issues, or wear them on their own. The hip/knee protections feels solid enough, I likely won't upgrade them. The pants work great when actually on the bike, they don't have a tendency to ride up or bunch. My only small qualm is that the top side pockets aren't pass through, but I really can't expect that. Other than that though, I'm thrilled. I had them out this weekend in 110° heat, and I came back without feeling like my legs had melted off. June 22, 2015
Very good pant for warm weather The pants are very good, and comfortable. These pants flow lots of air while riding. Stopped at a bike show to walk around and was sweating immediately, THEN I unzipped the lower portion of the legs and was cool again, great feature! The only addition that I would like would be more velcro available at ankles to cinch the openings tighter on my boots and possibly some adjustment snaps in the lower leg area around knee pads to tighten up and keep the pants in place while riding. June 20, 2015
Great Features, Good Value The Olympia Dakar Dual Sport Pants mostly live up to their claims. The one area in which they fall short is ventilation. In Summer riding the lining makes them fairly warm and their is little "flow" through the mesh. I expect this may turn out to be an advantage in the fall. If you're looking for a true "Summer" pant, this is not the way to go. May 25, 2015

Alex L: AirFlow, yes, these let the air in!!! Color, the Pewter(non-black option) reflects sunlight more than black, thus keeping my legs cooler from the constant sun. And also the ability to tailor them down to my size. I'm able to stretch them to a 3 season pant in TX. Feb 12, 2015
Warren H: Airflow is the main reason for choosing these pants as it gets pretty hot where I am situated. They also have the protective armour, plenty of pockets, dry quickly, are adjustable and are worn outside the boot. Anything remotely similar to these through BMW started at 330 AUD. Looking forward to getting hold of them as we are coming into summer in OZ and all reports are it is going to be a scorcher. Hope the pants live up to their reputation. Nov 10, 2014
Martin C: very very good comments, fit with the Dakar jacket and the price seems to be fair. Oct 3, 2014

Corey H: I like the option of the shorts, and adjustment of the length. Jan 9, 2014
Abdulla A asked: Would these pants burn easily on the bike's exhaust? Jul 9, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Nathan B: I would lean towards yes; the inner calf regions where one typically finds heat resistant material do not have such protection. There are mesh panels to allow for wind flow; while they may withstand higher temps I personally would not risk it. Jul 9, 2014
Reply to Nathan Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Hugues-Frederic B: I will not test them. I would guess so, they are made of synthetic material. They are not to saggy so they would not flap around and melt, but they are not the Olympia MotoQuest who have leather on the inside of the leg. I love both! Jul 9, 2014
Reply to Hugues-Frederic Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
toby e: I haven't burned mine yet. I have been riding with Olympia gear for about 6 years. been down many a times and still holding up. Jacket I melted the zipper laying it across the exhaust pipe had to get the zipper replaced. Jul 10, 2014

Phillip B: "Easily"? Subjective term, but all 'plastic/oil based' synthetics will melt when they come in contact with an exhaust that is often over 1,000 degrees F. Burn no; melt yes. Only Nomex could take that level of heat. Jul 9, 2014
Reply to Phillip Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Darrin K: You could also get some nomex material to attach to the inner leg or have a tailor sew in some leather. Mar 27, 2015
Reply to Darrin Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Kevin L: No they do not burn the only problem is the zipper on the leg will flap in the wind and cut your leg Jul 9, 2014

john d asked: The jacket that matches these pants has a rain liner. To get rain protection with the pants and complete the set, what should I do on my lower half? Jun 2, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Phillip B: With either my Dakar pants or jacket I plan to use my separate two piece [Tourmaster] rain gear.

Prefer to have jacket dry and pants have zero rain protection.
Jun 2, 2014
Reply to Phillip Good answer? Yes (2) No (0)
Alex L: john, you have a few options to get rain protection with these pants. You could either get an over the pants rain pant like the Olympia Horizon Rain Pants (option I took) or find a rain liner to go underneath if keeping the look of the "complete set" is important. Jun 2, 2014
Reply to Alex Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
john d: I like the idea of rain gear over the jacket and pants so when the rain stops, the gear isn't wet. Thanks for the responses guys. I'm thinking horizon two piece suit or something like the one piece dainese rain suit. Jun 2, 2014

Patrick D: The pants are not water proof. I believe Olympia makes pants with a rain liner in it. But not with this pair. Jun 2, 2014

David G: I think so, the bottoms of legs unzip to fit over a wide variety of boots Nov 26, 2015
