Unrivaled tire life; Michelin tests with a Harley-Davidson® Electra Glide® Classic prove a rear Michelin® Commander® II is capable of covering up to 40,000 kilometers (Almost 25,000 miles). The Michelin® Commander® II creates a new standard in regards to durability, without making compromises in wet weather grip, maneuverability or stability.
Silica Rain Technology (SRT): integrates silica into the compound of the tire tread in order to prevent all forms of uneven wear
The exclusive architecture of the Michelin® Commander® II brings both maneuverability and stability. The tire’s rigid, high-density carcass improves maneuverability, while the aramid fiber crown ply of the rear tire enhances resistance and lightness for impeccable stability, even at high speeds.
Numerous longitudinal grooves of the new tire's tread pattern optimize water dispersal for outstanding wet weather grip.
New standard in cruiser tire longevity
Independent tests show that the Michelin® Commander® II rear tire lasts almost twice as long its main competitors, the Metzeler ME 880 and the Dunlop D407/408.
Innovative technology
Amplified Density Technology: A highly dense, more-rigid tire casing, which helps deliver excellent feedback and handling.
Aramid tread plies on the rear tire resist centrifugal growth, reduce weight and provide excellent stability.
All-new rubber compounds for remarkable wet grip, without compromising durability.
Square bead wires improve casing rigidity, handling and ease of installation.

So far so good. Nice grip dry and wet without any weird vibrations. I hope to see many miles out of it. I am sure it will be great compared to the stock Bridgestone that I burnt up in 6500 miles on my '11 Kawi Vaquero.

Revzilla is great. (fantastic service) I ordered these tires late in the day at 2:30pm and they were at my house the next day when I got home from work. Revzilla matched the lowest price I found on the internet. I saved several hundred dollars over the dealer prices and still had them mount it on the rim for me. I took the tire off the bike and brought it to the dealer.
I have only had these for a week so far (400 miles) but I have had no problems. They look great and feel great. I ordered both the front and rear but my front is still good for another 5000 miles so I only changed the rear. I was worried about the handling and feel of a mixed stock Dunlop on the front and the Michelin Commander II on the rear but I feel no problems in the bikes performance after 400 miles.
From everything I have read these tires are supposed to be better handling than the stock Harley Davidson Dunlop and last twice as long. I only got 5000 to 6000 out of the Dunlops before the tread was showing through.

I only had this tire on my bike for 250 miles and it is the smoothest rolling easy in the corners and great in the rain tire I have ever had on this bike, it beats avon, dunlop and others easily, if you buy this tire for any type of bike you will not regret it

1000 miles so far, and handling on my softail has never been better. If tread life is as advertised, then these are winners. Front tire took a little weight to balance, but could be tube issues vs tire issues.

I bought the tires when they first came out, still riding on them and loving them. Last much longer than any other tire out there. Fast shipping, bought them on wednesday and recieved them with free shipping on friday, can you belive that? i couldnt. If you want a tire that is going to last a long time and have great traction on wet roads, then buy these tires. I also think that they are great looking also, very beautiful tread pattern. Its cool how the put the michelin right side up so you can read it properly on your bike, and it has flames. I bought both tires online for the same price black hills powersports in rapid city wanted for just the rear. So by far a great deal.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Hey guys, I'm trying to find a 120/80-17 tubeless Commander II. I've only found the 120/90. Do they make it in the 80? I've looked at other sites and can't find it. Thanks for your help!

On my 2010 Harley Davidson Fatboy I was worried about the handling and feel of a mixed stock Dunlop on the front and the Michelin Commander II on the rear but I feel no problems in the bikes performance after 400 miles.
If you search the internet you will get mixed answers. I asked the Harley Davidson dealer and one tech guy said it was ok to mix and another tech guy said he would never mix brands.

Not sure if the commander ll is available in that specific size but I will advise you to never mix and match tires. If you like Michelin you should check out the Pilot Power series, I am a proud owner of them and have been for the past 3 sets...

I want to know if this tire is suitable for use on the Triumph Thunderbird SE motorcycle? I am tired of having Metzelers that last only 6k miles. The recommended tire is the 200.50/17, but a number of riders have already used the 55 profile tire with no problems.
