Michelin Commander 2 Front Tires

Peformance Features:

  • Unrivaled tire life; Michelin tests with a Harley-Davidson® Electra Glide® Classic prove a Michelin® Commander® II is capable of covering up to 40,000 kilometers (Almost 25,000 miles).  The Michelin® Commander® II creates a new standard in regards to durability, without making compromises in wet weather grip, maneuverability or stability

  • Independent tests show that the Michelin® Commander® II rear tire lasts almost twice as long its main competitors, the Metzeler ME 880 and the Dunlop D407/408.

Can't be beat You will notice the difference as soon as they are on and you take the first ride. these tires handle fantastic and really grip the road. March 31, 2014
Track great and good feed back...let ya know what's going on They are alittle bit different after running other tires...but so far so good. They have very tacky outer edges and a hard center which make them ride down the highway great....and with the tacky outer edge...when you have to start leaning them....and they keep holding the line....makes ya wonder just how far you can push them on a big ultra. So far very pleased with them...and the more i ride with them the better i like them. Don't let this give a false sense of security about riding the twisties like a cafe racer...but will sure give you that little edge in a real life situation where you need to lean it just alittle farther than usual. Great tires so far and will order them again if they can get the mileage said...and so far they are looking real good on that also. Great service from Revzilla as usually and thanks to the guys for helping me out with everything. March 24, 2014
Great tire. Running Commander II on front and rear. Quiet, great on corners, excellent wear. Just installed second rear tire after 25000 km, still several thousand km left on tire, but I'm heading out on a long trip shortly and wanted the new rubber under me. Front tire will likely go another 20k's. April 14, 2014
All around Great tire The best tire to put on your bike. Can't be beat. This tire will last and last. Really great grip and traction. March 31, 2014

this is a good looking tire it is a good tire that my bike seem to handle so much better March 3, 2014
so far so good! Put this on my v-rod trike. With all that weight bearing down, I need a good tire! Others tend to flat out, scallop...this one is going very well. Good traction and feed back. Wet its is stable and predictable. I ride daily, but it's warm here, so I can't comment on cold weather traction. Really glad I purchased here, the product videos are great! January 3, 2014

richard c asked: I have a 2011 Harley Davidson Rocker C, the front tire is a Dunlap 90 / 90 - 19 MC 52H. Will the Michelin commander ll 90 / 90 - 21 54H work? Feb 15, 2014

Scott C: I am prety sure th -19 is the wheel size as is the -21 I would NOT recomend for any person to use a tire diameter larger than the wheel diameter. In this sinereo in america you would have a difference of two inches. Your tire install technician should not concider performing this task. The commander II is a Great tire choice though. richard c: Thank you Scott that was the answer I was looking for! I am trying to find the equivalent tire, but the numbers didn't match, and I didn't want to order the wrong one. Mar 7, 2014

Robert S: I would not mismatch my tires. I had the same as you, did not like the feel on the corners. I bought two commanders , went out west down south with no problems,
handle corners great. I've got over ten thousand miles on them and I believe I can get another ten . Hope this helps, great tires

A shopper asked: I like what the Michelin Commander II promises and want a set except that they only make a size to fit the rear of my 03 Vulcan Nomad. What would be a good front match for this tire? Apr 5, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Michael D: I ride a Yamaha Roadliner and was told not to mix brands of tires. To get the Michelin Commander II tires on my bike I had to go to a 200 radial tire while using a 130-70-18 bias ply Michelin Commander II front tire. 6,000 miles later the combination works well. If you can get a Michelin Commander II in other than and OEM size to fit your Nomad, that would likely work well.

P.S. The Michelins are far superior to the original Dunlops and replacement Bridgestones I had on the bike.

A shopper asked: Hey guys, I'm trying to find a 120/80-17 tubeless Commander II. I've only found the 120/90. Do they make it in the 80? I've looked at other sites and can't find it. Thanks for your help! Mar 16, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: Currently, Michelin do not offer the Commander II tire in a 120/80-17 fitment only a 120/90 B17 and Michelin do not recommend as a replacement for 120/80. We hope this helps you with your decision. Jul 13, 2012

geekysteve: Unfortunately, it doesn't appear so. The 2012 Michelin tire catalog shows only a 120/90 as available in the Commander II. Jul 12, 2012
