Unrivaled tire life; Michelin tests with a Harley-Davidson® Electra Glide® Classic prove a Michelin® Commander® II is capable of covering up to 40,000 kilometers (Almost 25,000 miles). The Michelin® Commander® II creates a new standard in regards to durability, without making compromises in wet weather grip, maneuverability or stability
Silica Rain Technology integrates silica into the compound of the tire tread in order to prevent all forms of uneven wear
The exclusive architecture of the Michelin® Commander® II brings both maneuverability and stability. The tire’s rigid, high-density carcass improves maneuverability, while the aramid fiber crown ply of the rear tire enhances resistance and lightness for impeccable stability, even at high speeds
Numerous longitudinal grooves of the new tire's tread pattern optimize water dispersal for outstanding wet weather gri
Independent tests show that the Michelin® Commander® II rear tire lasts almost twice as long its main competitors, the Metzeler ME 880 and the Dunlop D407/408.
Amplified Density Technology: A highly dense, more-rigid tire casing, which helps deliver excellent feedback and handling
Aramid tread plies on the rear tire resist centrifugal growth, reduce weight and provide excellent stability
All-new rubber compounds for remarkable wet grip, without compromising durability
Square bead wires improve casing rigidity, handling and ease of installation

It's the right one !
I heard these were some of the best and now I agree. Put these on my "heavy" Honda Goldwing 1200 and they have held up beautifully. Smooth and quiet ride. Confidence in cornering.
Buy 'em !!

Feels like a brand new bike, suddenly I can lean around corners even with the 240 tires in the rear on my HD Night Rod. I did a great deal of research but these won out cause they should last 3-4 times as long as the other performance tires and still provide excellent grip!

High mileage tire
I just put a set of these tires on my 2009 Electra Glide. They ride nice - let's see if they live up to the mileage claims.

Richard H: I have a Stratoliner Deluxe and I put a 200 series Commander II on the back. No problems with it so I now am replacing the front with this one.Jan 15, 2015
John R: I replaced the stock tires on my 2010 Fat Boy, 2009 Sportster XL, and 2008 Ultra Classic with the Commander II. I LOVE these tires. 1.5-2 times the life of stock tires. Comfortable ride. Feels more aggressive in the curves. More confidence in wet riding conditions. They feel slightly stiffer at slow speed turning or turning while sitting still, but well worth the trade off in my opinion.Jan 2, 2015
Robert S: After reading all the reviews from all the different websites they all had great reviews on the Michelin Commander II front tires.Dec 30, 2014
Anthony B: Looking for a higher performance and better all-weather tire for my Harley. So far I have put 5,000 miles on them and I can't be happier. They easily outperform the stock Dunlop tread and they seem to be holding up to their claim of long-life. I can hardly tell they are even wearing at this point! Very happy with this purchase!Oct 3, 2014

ALEX F: After researching many tires, this matching front to the rear fit my Triumph and provided the best traction and the best wet water dispersion available. While it might not last as long as other tires, it is safer than most others and comfortable as well.Aug 6, 2014
Danny S: I really like the tire I bought for the rear, I have a 2007 Kawasaki vulcan 900 and it really tracks good and you do not feel the tar strips in the road. I have yet to check it in the rain, I got 10,000 out of the other tires. If its goes for more or the same, Ill be sticking with Michelin from here on out.Aug 4, 2014

Harold D: I have these tires on my Road King and they provide good wear and solid grip. I initially purchased this because of all of the positive reviews that the tire had and I can now add my own to that list.Aug 12, 2013
Scott C:I am prety sure th -19 is the wheel size as is the -21 I would NOT recomend for any person to use a tire diameter larger than the wheel diameter. In this sinereo in america you would have a difference of two inches. Your tire install technician should not concider performing this task. The commander II is a Great tire choice though.Mar 3, 2014
Robert S:I would not mismatch my tires. I had the same as you, did not like the feel on the corners. I bought two commanders , went out west down south with no problems, handle corners great. I've got over ten thousand miles on them and I believe I can get another ten . Hope this helps, great tiresFeb 17, 2014
JAMES T:I have the commanders on my 2005 Ultra and love them. They ride fantastic and are still like new 4k later. On the size Revzilla should be able to answer this or call your local Harley Dealer.Feb 15, 2014
A shopper asked:I like what the Michelin Commander II promises and want a set except that they only make a size to fit the rear of my 03 Vulcan Nomad. What would be a good front match for this tire?Apr 5, 2014
Michael D:I ride a Yamaha Roadliner and was told not to mix brands of tires. To get the Michelin Commander II tires on my bike I had to go to a 200 radial tire while using a 130-70-18 bias ply Michelin Commander II front tire. 6,000 miles later the combination works well. If you can get a Michelin Commander II in other than and OEM size to fit your Nomad, that would likely work well.
P.S. The Michelins are far superior to the original Dunlops and replacement Bridgestones I had on the bike.Apr 5, 2014
A shopper asked:Hey guys, I'm trying to find a 120/80-17 tubeless Commander II. I've only found the 120/90. Do they make it in the 80? I've looked at other sites and can't find it. Thanks for your help!Mar 16, 2012
RevZilla:Currently, Michelin do not offer the Commander II tire in a 120/80-17 fitment only a 120/90 B17 and Michelin do not recommend as a replacement for 120/80. We hope this helps you with your decision.Jul 13, 2012
A shopper asked:Hello. I have a Harley Street Glide Special. I'm looking for a replacement back tire for the Dunlop D407T 180/65 R16. I'm would like to get the Michelin Commander II. I have two questions. One, I know it would not be ideal to have the back tire different from the front tire, but would it be acceptable? Two, the front tire is a Dunlop D407T 130/60/ R19 will the Michelin Commander II 130/70 18 work? Other sites' tire selector are saying that is the acceptabel replacement?Sep 20, 2014
