Joe Rocket Women's Alter Ego 3.0 Jacket
Incredibly comfortable to wear while riding. Honestly, not as comfortable in the inner elbow area when not on the bike. Feels great, protects from wind, & fits wonderfully. Lots of pockets. Once you're off the bike, take off the jacket! :)

NOT 100% Waterproof, not for cold below 50F
For the PRICE Really disappointed does not live up to the 100% Waterproof!
Do not buy for protection from rain. After riding in the rain for 30 minutes today soaking wet arms, especially elbow area. Around the wrists, arm pit area and collar were dry. Not quite sure where the water came in. Only thing I can figure is the waterproof zippers failed.
Once you get wet the ride is not nice.
Not for colder than 50F riding - the arms are not insulated.
Outer cover pretty stylish wind breaker. Good reflectivity.
Mesh Liner airflow great. Good reflectivity.

Two jackets for 1 price
Waterproof outer layer and inner layer is a full on mesh jacket with all the protection built in. Mesh jacket looks great as stand alone which is why my wife wanted it, along with matching her new helmet. Almost custom fit with the built in adjustments. Colors match up well with the Shoei Qwest Sonoma helmet.

This jacket is absolutely awesome!
I love this jacket. I bought it while the weather was still hot so the inner mesh portion with armor was perfect by itself. I got so much airflow I barely felt like I was wearing a jacket. I now have the vest liner zipped in and I'm still just wearing the inner jacket. Perfect for the beginning of fall. I love the look of the inner jacket and the outer jacket. The fit is great too. I am 5'6" 129 lbs and the small fits me perfectly. The extra small was a little tight. The cool thing is I can also wear the inner jacket under my leather jacket for a different look and still have all the armor protection. I highly recommend this jacket.

Perfect for me!
I am absolutely in LOVE with this jacket. The under layer is perfect for hot summer days and gorgeous nights, and the outer shell is just what I need as the nights get cooler. Haven't had a chance to try out the lining for warmth, but I will soon enough. The jacket fits a bit tight, but I expect it to loosen up, and I am recommending this to all my lady rider friends!

I have to disagree a little about the sizing. My measurements put me in the XXL range so that's what I ordered. I'm short and a bit chubby: 5'2" 175 lbs. I am very well endowed up top so I was pretty surprised at how bulky and loose the jacket felt up top. I ended up exchanging it for a smaller size. With all 3 layers on its a tiny bit tight around my tummy but still very comfortable while riding. I don't think I could wear much more than a tshirt underneath but so far, even at 46 degrees, I haven't even needed the fleece vest.

Don't Believe The Waterproof!
My wife ordered this jacket and we both love the style and versatility. Great on very warm days and very good wind protection on cooler days.
The decision to design the riding protection into the middle layer is a great idea and works very well in this respect. When it is warm, take off the outer later. When it turns windy or chilly, just throw on the outer layer and you are set - there is no taking off the outer layer, zipping or snapping in the middle layer, before you are finally off again. This jacket is quick and easy to adapt to changes in the weather.
She has yet to get the jacket into colder temps (below 10C), but believes it will work with her into Fall and early Winter.
The styling is simply great. My wife is 5'7", 125lbs, and petite. Work with the sizing chart and you should be fine. She simply looks sexy in this jacket...well, all the time, but you know what I mean. The jacket is very European in styling and she wears it well.
Now for the bad/disappointing report: THIS JACKET IS NOT WATERPROOF AT ALL! We just had a 30-minute ride in a very strong downpour yesterday. The jacket had her wet within 5 minutes. The complete arm (both) was soaked through. The body was also seeping in very quickly. Sorry, Joe Rocket, but you really missed the testing of this jacket in the rain. It failed miserably.
That said, if you really like the styling of this jacket - to which we can attest - and you only require warmth, good airflow, and good wind protection, then this jacket is a safe bet. Instead of returning the jacket for a better rain protection and, thus, sacrificing style, my wife decided that she would use another outer rain jacket above the riding protection mesh middle layer (again, a great idea). This way she gets the great styling of the jacket for walking around town when rain protection isn't needed, the great airflow of the middle later, good wind protection of the outer layer, and a warm vest addition for colder days. When it rains, she just leaves off the outer layer and wears a true rain jacket over it all. This way she also can change her look using the rest of her rain wardrobe without worrying about protection, which is underneath it all.
If you want rain protection, do not buy this jacket. If you are amiable to working with the jacket because of protection and style - and just need wind protection in the outer layer, go for it!

Girlfriend seems very pleased with her new jacket. Love the fact that it is full-mesh jacket as well as a regular waterproof one...very trick.
