looks and plays the part Looks great feels great good protection from the cold below 40 degrees February 15, 2015
They do the job. I was looking for a pair of gloves to get me through the winter. These Joe Rockets should do that. The reviews warned be to size up and I did. I'm normally a L but bought these in XXL. They fit very well and seem well made and highly protective. I've tested them already in cold rain. I was not disappointed. I would like the gauntlet to be a little longer and a little more curvature in the fingers. I'm afraid they will be tiresome on a long ride trying to maintain control of the throttle. But let me say that for the price I got what I expected. December 18, 2014
The name fits the product. I ride my bike till the ice and snow hit the ground. I have worn these gloves in temps under 30s. For almost and hour without heated grips. My hands were cold but not unbearable. Passing my test. I like the Velcro wrist closing, and wiper blade. December 1, 2014
Very warm, but only if you have the right size. These gloves are definitely warm, and the definitely run small. I wear a 2XL in Roland Sands gloves and mistakenly tried out the 2XL in these. While they seemed to fit upon first try, I found that when I was out riding in 30 degree weather, my fingertips were freezing because there simply wasn't enough air left to insulate in the tips of the gloves. After upgrading to the 3XL, I rode out again, this time in 20 degree weather, and found that my hands were perfectly comfortable through and through. I cannot recommend these enough, but be sure you get a size larger than you think you need. November 24, 2014
A Bit Bulky I'm new to riding and this is my first time riding in cooler weather. I got these gloves because I liked the style and the "windchill" feature. I use a light pair of riding gloves most of the time but got these in anticipation of chilly weather. Plus I get off of work at night so it can get quite cold riding home. I like the overall style of these gloves and the safety features. One glaring drawback is the fit. Depending on brand I wear either medium or large gloves and based on the advise of Revzilla I got these in XL. They fit alright except when the area in between my fingers is snug my finger tips don't quite reach the ends which could impact braking and also makes toggling the turn signals trickier. Another issue issue is the thickness. While it's necessary for protection against the cold it seriously reduces your grip and ability to feel. I noticed having issues with the throttle on my first ride while wearing these. I also noticed that after my ride home from work one especially chilly night, the tips of my fingers still had a slight numb-tingling sensation to them. On the flip-side, however, without these gloves I probably wouldn't have been able to feel my fingers at all. Overall, for the price, these are great gloves. November 20, 2014
Solid warmer glove! Bought these for cooler weather and extra protection, compared to my light weight summer gloves. Nice leather and have held up very well so far. They look very cool. I am usually an XL, so I went with that size but find them a little tight. I am banking on them stretching out over time...the current tight fit makes it a little difficult when reaching for signals and keeping the hands on the grip. Get your size right and these are great affordable gloves. October 6, 2014
Very confortable and rugged gloves These are a very confortable gloves, the curved palm shape makes them fell good from the first use. The leather, lining and finishings looks and feels top quality. You can wear them even in not so cold weather. I had to return them and replace them for a smaller size. Revzilla has the best service, period. March 1, 2014
Very good control These gloves are good for about 45-50 degrees unless you have headed grips. Thank BMW for headed grips! They don't breath so you will get that trash bag feeling. But they are very good for the controls on the bike. I will give them 5 stars on that. February 17, 2014

A shopper asked: I live in the mountains and it gets decently cold up here sometimes. How do these gloves do in weather below 40 degress? Oct 28, 2014

Daniel P: It depends on how far below 40 we are talking. I used these gloves to commute to and from New York City during the winter last season and they held up pretty good in 30 degree temps for a little over an hour. I've also used the gloves on some pleasure rides during the winter and will honestly say that if you are riding for a long period of time in the cold, on the highway, on a windy day, with no wind protection, your hands will get painfully cold. Two more points I want to make; (1) I hold up well in the cold and have a tolerance that most riders don't have; and (2) these are really nice looking well crafted gloves. Oct 29, 2014

G A: Not as warm as I thought they would be. Maybe they will break in but mine keep my hands at a curved position so when I try to straighten all my fingers it is restricted and hard to do which is bad for me, somebody with carpal tunnel. Oct 30, 2014

Alex R: They have decent insulation for the price but after 30 minutes below 40 you will start to feel the cold. They are great for short trips in the cold though Oct 28, 2014

Kenneth C asked: How does the sizing compare to a Roland Sands unlined glove? I have the Roland Sands Barfly in 2XL and it fits great. Comparing the sizing charts, it looks like I would wear a 2XL in this glove as well. Can anyone confirm the size comparison? Nov 5, 2014

John D: I have average size hands for a man and the XXL is perfect, No extra room in the fingers which allows precise feel of controls. The thumbs are a bit longer however but now Im nitpicking. Great glove and keeps my hands warm in sub 30 deg. Dec 30, 2014
