Style Points and Protection
I did a lot of research on boots and I checked out a few sites before deciding on these. They are comfortable, stylish, great protection and I get a lot of compliments on them. They run true to size and get great air, I am very happy with these.

Lots of protection and style at a great price!!
Initially, I bought these boots in a size 9 since that's what I wear in tennis shoes but these turned out to be too big. I returned them for a size 8 and they fit perfectly the second time around. I would say they do run a little on the large size than. I wear these boots everyday to commute to my college classes and work on my 2005 R6. Now that I'm used to wearing them, I definitely love how they feel on the bike. At first, I had a little trouble feeling the shifter but this went away after riding for a couple days. The boots themselves took about 2 weeks of everyday wear to really break in and until than they may be a little uncomfortable for extended wear. Now that they are broke in, I can wear them all day with no trouble at all. They really are a great hybrid boot that balances comfort with some awesome safety features for the price. I wear these with my jeans over the top and nobody can tell that I'm wearing a full on race boot. This is important to me because I don't want to draw attention to myself but I'm still able to have all the safety features that this boot offers. At the same time for those that are more fashion minded, I've had several comments from both guys and girls in my college classes on how cool these boots look. I think this is mostly due to the magnesium sliders on the toe and ankle. I also went ahead and purchased a pair of Dr. Scholls Work Wear insoles for these and that really helped make these boots comfortable for all day wear. As far as temperature in these boots, my feet have not got to hot or cold yet and I've ridden in weather above 95 degrees and as low as 45 degrees already. They have just enough air flow to keep your feet from getting swampy but not too much that they will freeze at lower temperatures. The one gripe I have with this boot is that they used a pretty hard piece of rubber at the top calf area. This means that you pretty much have no choice but to ride with longs socks as this piece of material will rub you raw quickly. I've included two pics, one with the jeans over the top and a picture detailing the rubber piece that I don't like. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase from Revzilla and Joe Rocket and would encourage anybody else thinking about buying these to not hesitate.

How does the sizing compare to Alpinestars, especially width?

I just discovered that Alpinestars size 46 EU are too narrow for my excessively wide feet (4 1/2 inches at their widest). Some 8-or-so year-old Nike trainers in size 11.5 US are just barely too tight. Foot length from big toe tip to heel tip is 11 3/8 inches. How does the width compare to Alpinestars? Would a 12 in the Speedmaster 3.0 be too large?
