Comfy, but baggy in the lower legs. Looking for a set of jeans that would provide more protection than non-work jeans, but didn't cost too much led me to these Joe Rocket jeans. Following the advice of some reviewers who stated that the jeans fit small, I ordered a size up (34) from my size (32). After receiving my pants, I learned that there was no vanity sizing here, as they fit true to size. Unlike even name-brand jeans you get at a big-box store, the Joe Rocket jeans are actually the size that they're listed at (ex, when you buy Levi's at Walmart, they're actually a size up from their listed size). With that out of the way, I've been pretty satisfied with how comfortable the jeans have been. The stretch panels don't exactly look cool, but they serve a purpose. The lower legs are on the baggy side, I can't imagine what boots would require them to be as large as they are. The only durability question I've come across is the pocket stitching coming loose in one of the front pockets. May 27, 2015
Good pant I buy this pant for the protection. The price is good expect to converct us money in candian, to much expensive. One thing is the price for the shipping, is not free for canadian buyers. thank anyway April 6, 2015
Decent I am 5'11" 178 muscular. I normally wear 32x32 euro style jeans that are relatively tight fitting, sometimes 32x33 if I can find. Thankfully, I read the reviews and ordered a 34S of these. The waist was quite tight, basically felt like a 32, and the legs still were down to my heels. I can't imagine how long the regulars would have been. They seem to be well thought out, I doubt they'll offer serious protection, but definitely better protection than non-riding jeans. Now the fit: They fit tight around the thighs, in a "euro" style, but then get quite baggy towards the bottom. It's my personal style but I wish they were a bit tighter around the calves. Also, the cut of the fabris doesn't seem to be very smart, as they don't allow a lot of room for your "man parts". Pretty tight in that region and I wish they had more space. I hope they will loosen up a bit after some break in. Otherwise the stretch panels are cool and funcional, as I didn't feel impeded riding in these. Biggest gripe is the lack of room for your "jewels". July 21, 2014
Nice For the Price More comfortable than riding jeans priced twice as high! Well-made, I think. Surprised by the quality of the inside lining, and the way the Kevlar is placed. Well done. Not a huge fan of the width of the pant legs... They're reeeeallly baggy/wide/roomy. More so than just "boot cut." Nevertheless, these are great. Very comfortable. I'm a 30" waist, with 30" inseam. The 32 short was just a tiny bit more than I needed in the waist...30 waist would've been too tight. Length-wise, though, had to get'em hemmed. Way too long for me...probably a good 2" or so too long. July 18, 2014
Comfortable protection Great jean. Very comfortable to ride in for hours. My wife says they look great on me. I had to take them up about 6 inches for my 30 inch inseam, but the "short" designation ment they are a "low rise" cut, so in every other respect, they fit perfectly. And the pockets are deep so no worries about loosing stuff. July 14, 2014
Good enough! These jeans are good enough for everyday riding, however, a few suggested modifications: - change the color of the black stretchy fabric above the knee and in the lower back areas to the same color as the jeans, so it don't stand out like a sore thumb for use when you get off the bike and go into a store or somewhere else. - not sure why the stretchy fabric is 'above the knee' except maybe that they are made more for sports bikes where the rider is in a crouch position but if so then make two versions, one as such and the other for cruisers so that the stretch fabric is right over the knee. - put an inside 'pocket' and offer the rubberized knee pads, as an option, for those who would choose to wear with them. Other than that these jeans would be be rated excellent. Shipping and handling was excellent and speed in which I received the product after ordering was excellent. Thanks! June 23, 2014
Very Comfortable Jeans I like the look for these jeans and they are very comfortable on and off the bike. the stretch panels work great, Pockets are big enough. My pair is flawless, very well made. I take a size 36x32 Levis jean and I ordered a size 38 SHORT. Fit is perfect over my Alpinestars Bionic Freeride Shorts, and the legs fit in or over my Spidi VR6 Boots. Glad I got them, would do it again. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-bionic-freeride-shorts http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/spidi-vr6-boots April 29, 2014
Not great Order these using my normal jean size I buy which is a little big. These were too small in the waist. The boot cut was huge. I've never seen boots that would be that big to need pants that big. I will keep looking. As always the zilla was perfect. Fast shipping to me. Easy to make the return. February 3, 2014

RevZilla: These jeans do not offer pockets for protectors. The protective features of these pants will be included in the pants fabric itself, with the use of heavy duty denim and Aramid panels. May 2, 2012

Jose M asked: So i'm like a 52 in dianese jeans but I'm 5'6" so they kind of fit me long. are these a good pants for my height? Are there any other brands and models I should consider? Feb 17, 2015

joshua v: Jose,
I bought mine in size 36 and they are pretty much spot on with US sizing. IE: levis, pants and shorts from most US department stores, Which I buy 36 if I want a snug fit with no belt. But, If like your business kinda loose in the waste then go 38. I'm 5'9" , about 190-200lb.
They are a little long when standing. I just flip them up and make a cuff. But on the bike when your knees are bent they are perfect length so the wind doesn't blow all up your leg and make the pants bunch up.

Douglas R: I'm 5'6" and I found that the ribbing at the knee sits well below my knee. It makes them uncomfortable to bend in. They seem very well made and the 6'1" friend I gave them too like them a lot. Feb 17, 2015
