Great jacket for the price Got this jacket on closeout and it fits great. Great air flow, stylish and quality made. Only problem I had was the left wrist button snapped off moments after I put it on, while I was unsnapping it. I would still purchase jacket again though. March 12, 2015
Great jacket Great jacket with lots of airflow. The button that holds the Liner broke but a great jacket. October 6, 2014
great jacket Awesome jacket...definitely worth the money. The fit is true to size. Breathable in the hot GA heat. Good protection August 11, 2014
Great jacket, could be better This is jacket it surprisingly light. The fit is true to the size chart. I am 5'10, 190 lbs, and I wear a 34-36 inch waist. I fits a large like a glove! Pros: -Very comfortable. The attack fit is great for a sport seating position. -For a textile this jacket breathes very well. -The armor doesn't slide around -Very good looking design. Cons: -There is not a way to secure this jacket to your pants. -There are only 3 pockets. - There is not a way to snug the waist up. I like a snug fit in the waist so for some this might not be an issue. I can not comment on durability. I only took a short 2 hour ride in it so far, but it is a well constructed jacket. Poor Quality in Design I purchased this jacket from a local Honda Powersports Dealer. Initially I loved the fit and style. Unfortunately after only 2 weeks I noticed the quilted liner began to fray at the bottom. I went back to Honda where they said I could swap out the liner for another one. The liner in the jacket is held in place with a zipper and two plasatic snaps. when attempting to unbutton the snaps, the plastic broke in half. Funny thing was when the Honda manager was taking the liner out of a new jacket to give to me, she too snapped both of the buttons on that one as well. Needless to say, I have returned it and purchased a Dainese Super Speed Textile jacket. I know its considerably more expensive, but what a difference in quality!!! NOt to mention, the ICON was EXTREMELY heavy in comparison. I was in touch with ICONS's quality control team, and they apologized for the defects and let their design team know. Hope this helps!! Great summer weather, high quality jacket I wear a small very comfortably. I am 5'11" 158lbs with a ~40" chest. Key points: -Attack fit, so it feels aggressive but can still be worn comfortably off the bike -Good protection for a summer jacket -Visually appealing -Comfortable The only downside of the jacket(as with most summer jackets) is that if you arent rolling and its zipped up, it can get rather stifling. This is easily countered, by, well, unzipping it lol. April 14, 2014
Great 3 Season Option I bought this as a solution for my 3 season riding. I have never been disappointed with this jacket from Day 1. Weather it be 40 degree - 100 degrees, this jacket can do it all. Obviously you need the right layers for cold weather but the zip in liner makes a big difference. Fit and function is on par with Icon's reputation. Would recommend in a heartbeat! January 28, 2014
nice jacket Overall this is a great jacket for the price. I have a large, and the arms are right on the verge of being short, but the chest fits great, I'm at 43". I would not recommend this for anything other than summer riding. It is good without the liner in 90 plus as long as you're moving, but below 70 with the liner can get cool. Downright cold at night when it's 60. I've ridden in it all summer though, and it has held up well, I would recommend replacing the foam in the back with better armor. September 7, 2013

Fosho: There are 2 zipper pockets on the outside as well as an inside zipper pocket on the left side that holds the St. Christopher medal that Icon puts inside their jackets. The inside pocket will not be blocked by the liner either. Mar 19, 2013

Fosho: Mesh jackets are more summer oriented while maximizing airflow. Textile jackets are still good with airflow, but may be a more viable option in cooler temperatures in the spring and the fall. Mesh jackets are generally not as heavy as textile jackets due to all the perforation and thickness of the material. I would say the difference in protection is not too great because they both should have armor in the forearms, elbows, shoulders and back. Different brands will have different quality of armor (look for CE certified). I think textile jackets give more flexibility in riding times throughout the year. My first jacket was mesh and it was only viable in warm weather. Mar 19, 2013

Rydell: Mesh has holes. Textile is closed fabric. In hotter climates, many of us choose mesh jackets even though there is some compromise of protection from leather. Textile is a cheaper alternative to leather but it is not appreciably cooler. Sep 12, 2011

TheSailormanman27889: mesh is mesh, there is no fabric for abrasion protection. textile has fabric made for crashing in and will protect you a lot more than the mesh. pick a jacket that has CE armor in the shoulders, elbows and back. Sep 16, 2011

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Maxwell J: Leather is by far more durable, the trade you make is generally airflow for protection when making the choice between mesh and leather. Jan 17, 2015
