Great glove.
Ok..so I really do like these gloves. They look awesome and fit great. There are only a few concerns I have on the long-term ability to hold up. The stitching has some frays throughout the glove. On the pinky, there is too much material left over and it creates a rub/pressure point. I turned it inside out and clipped off as much extra material as I dared. Now that I've been using them for a while the pinky doesn't bother me and they've stretched out just a bit.
Great movement and feel. It's almost like you're not wearing gloves. The ventilation seems to be adequate for now..I'll know more as the temps start heating up.
I do really like these gloves and would likely buy another pair after I wear these out. I'm hoping to get at least a full year's use.

Icon At Their Best
Being a fan of Icon products, I've purchased several jackets and gloves from this brand and have yet to be disappointed. The Overlord short gloves fit great, and are comfortable from the get go. I find many short gloves from other brands not that comfortable around the wrist based on the closure type and location on your wrist. This glove is more like a shorter gauntlet than a shorty glove. It feels great at the wrist and the touch on the grips is very direct and sensitive.
Overall, a top notch, good looking pair of street gloves.

MEAN gloves from Icon!
These are some badass gloves! Look killer, fit great (slightly large, but feel great nonetheless), and have a super high-quality feel. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them!

Amazing Gloves
Prior to these gloves I had gotten a pair of $70.00 gloves just to make sure I had protection. Putting on these gloves was a complete difference, much more comfortable, and with the Kangaroo skin on the palm you can almost feel right through it which will definitely help with responsiveness. Gloves are vented very well so not ideal for cold weather riding, but that would be the only downfall.

Overlord Short Glove
I originally bought the Icon Justice leather glove XL (too big) and I ended up exchanging them for the overlord Medium (since they say the overlords run big). They are a little snug but they will break in nicely I believe. Overall this glove is B.A. They look sweet, the floating knuckles are nice and I was very surprised how thin the kangaroo leather is on the palm. It really does feel like you are not wearing a glove when working the controls. The only thing that concerns me is how well it will hold up in an accident. The kangaroo leather is supposed to be very strong... I hope so. They also have padding in some of the contact areas like on the side of the hand & wrist and in the palm which is a good feature. The only complaint I have is that there were a couple scuff marks on the palm and also a small imperfection in the leather on the back of the wrist sort of like something rubbed against it and messed up the leather (a spot the size of my pinky nail) I am sure RevZilla would exchange them for me if I wanted but it is in an isolated spot and probably wont get any worse from use so I may just keep them. But when you spend $125 on a pair of gloves you would expect them to be in perfect condition.

Poor Quality Glove
Rode with this gloves all summer long every single day, very shortly after owning them the strap you pull on to help the glove over your hand partially separated from the stitching, also the Velcro strap to secure the glove on your hand separated from the stitching on my right hand glove. BOTH gloves experienced separated stitching on some of the fingers where the kangaroo palm met the leather. At one point (after a 40 mph accident) my pinky started slipping out the right glove. As stated i did have an accident with these gloves i slid across the ground a good way. The glove did its job, although i had an injury to my left thumb as though something stabbed me through the glove even though that part never ripped open. The kangaroo in my palm kinda burned through but overall i had my hands still and that's what mattered. However at this price i will not recommend these gloves. My brother has THE SAME GLOVES and his strap also separated from the glove because of tugging.

Icon Overlord Short vs Long Length

I'm torn between the Short and Long version of this glove. I like the 3/4 style gauntlets (or "short" gauntlets) because I can usually tuck them inside my jacket. I don't really like having them wrap the outside, nor do I like the very short cuffs.
For example, the Alpinestars S-1 gloves are the perfect length and size but I like the features on the Icon's more.
The majority of my riding is street. So my question would be, which glove would be best for tucking inside the jacket? Keeping in mind that I prefer the 3/4 gauntlet like the A* S-1.
(I have a Street & Steel Nomad Jacket for reference and riding an sv650s)

The Icon overlord SHORT glove will tuck into your jacket nicely and will not disappoint. I have the S-1 gloves as well, but sorry to say not as big a fan of the fit around the wrist.1 month, 1 week ago

I would go the shorty. the protection comes 2inches past the bottom of your hand and there is a leather cuff that is very soft that runs around where your wrist bone sits completely around your wrist. My jacket sits over the end of the glove in normal riding, unlike the shorties I have owned previously.Age: 35-44

Of course this will be my opinion, but I'd say go with the 3/4. You'd mentioned that you're already a fan of them, so stick with what you know. If you can tuck them into your jacket, and are comfortable with them, then I say go for it. The last thing you need is another "distraction" while riding. Go with what you're comfortable with, and already familiar. The 3/4's still offer great protection and mobility, they won't feel bunched up, under the jacket, however they also won't leave your wrist's feeling naked. I agree the A*'s are great, however for the price and features, I'd go ICON. Just my .02. Safe riding!Age: 35-44
