Great short gloves Good fit and protection. No issues. Great bang for the buck . May 25, 2015
Great for spring to fall weather. This glove has great style, and is very comfortable. The blue one really stands out and matched my jacket perfectly. Really good feel with the leather, and plenty of protection. Air flow is nice, but haven't tried it in hot weather. Totally worth the great price offered. March 30, 2015
there great Its too bad they are closing these out. great fit, and provide protection from smashing my non clutch fingers when wheeling. November 12, 2014
Not too shabby These gloves fit well and don't slip or move because of the flap above the knuckles. The soft leather formed to my hand after a few rides and hasn't given out. The tan leather palms did start to turn black after a few rides but haven't developed holes or had seems ripped after two months of riding. So far a good glove. November 11, 2014
Solid These gloves are solid. I usually wear a size Large, but followed the sizing chart measurements and bought a Medium. They're a slight squeeze to get on, but once they're on they fit perfectly. September 22, 2014
decent gloves These are decent gloves for warmer weather riding that allow a lot of airflow. The issue I have is some of the armor over the knuckles doesn't line up with my hand and can be uncomfortable at times. September 15, 2014
Value for the dollars worth To put it off , or in terms actually on since it is a glove, you get your money to the value worth. Reasons why: - Size fit true to size (measurement to glove fit) - The quality used for material (Cow and Kangaroo Leather) are a great combination used to your hands. - Ventilation are great on mid body temperature, ** not on hot days though, prepare for sweaty steam hands - The stitching looks great ** BUT: Stitching are as described by other reviewer "Terrible." This play into how parts of the thread are not adhere to place. August 27, 2014
Made in China Bad stitches (exposed loops and long ends) and inconsistent cuts on the leather. The gloves look good and feel good but appear poorly made. They also are hard to get on, which normally wouldn't be a problem but the seams stretch to the point where you see the stitch holes. My wife works in at a leather retailer and sees this problem all the time with Chinese made leather products... maybe that's why they are on closeout. August 20, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Kameron M: Loved this glove when I first got it. These gloves made it through a riding season but thats about it. Tore a hole on my fingertip due to average wear and tear, but all gloves have their time. Good gloves overall and feel like if you were to go down you would be very protected. May 21, 2015
carlos m: Nice summer glover ..it fits big so choose a smaller size from your regular size...but great quality glove Apr 13, 2015

M D: great breakdown and description by Anthony.

Sherell H: Reading and watch reviews and product details on revzilla. Jun 15, 2014
Michael A: Icon design is fantastic and the review on this item sold me on it because of its protection values and design/colours. Jun 9, 2014

Scott A. M: My alpinestars GPX fell apart after a few unavoidable raining days, in the past All my ICON Gloves have been bulletproof Mar 9, 2014
Greg M: Needed comfortable shorty gloves that will last. Had SP-1 gloves that were a size larger than I wear(as per reviewers) and still cut off my circulation to the point my hands went numb.........no fun at 90mph Nov 24, 2013
D I: Price and quality. Sep 6, 2013
Antonio C: The product looks superb and I needed a pair of pre-curved full fingered gloves. I got the shorts because I didnt see a need for the extra material the longs provide. Sep 1, 2013
A shopper asked: I'm torn between the Short and Long version of this glove. I like the 3/4 style gauntlets (or "short" gauntlets) because I can usually tuck them inside my jacket. I don't really like having them wrap the outside, nor do I like the very short cuffs.

For example, the Alpinestars S-1 gloves are the perfect length and size but I like the features on the Icon's more.

The majority of my riding is street. So my question would be, which glove would be best for tucking inside the jacket? Keeping in mind that I prefer the 3/4 gauntlet like the A* S-1.

(I have a Street & Steel Nomad Jacket for reference and riding an sv650s)

thinsley: Of course this will be my opinion, but I'd say go with the 3/4. You'd mentioned that you're already a fan of them, so stick with what you know. If you can tuck them into your jacket, and are comfortable with them, then I say go for it. The last thing you need is another "distraction" while riding. Go with what you're comfortable with, and already familiar. The 3/4's still offer great protection and mobility, they won't feel bunched up, under the jacket, however they also won't leave your wrist's feeling naked. I agree the A*'s are great, however for the price and features, I'd go ICON. Just my .02. Safe riding! Jun 4, 2012

Bloka: I would go the shorty. the protection comes 2inches past the bottom of your hand and there is a leather cuff that is very soft that runs around where your wrist bone sits completely around your wrist. My jacket sits over the end of the glove in normal riding, unlike the shorties I have owned previously. Oct 29, 2012

DGE77: The Icon overlord SHORT glove will tuck into your jacket nicely and will not disappoint. I have the S-1 gloves as well, but sorry to say not as big a fan of the fit around the wrist. Apr 9, 2013

Todd S asked: Understand that this glove runs a full size to big. Measured my hand and it's 3 1/5 inches, so should I go with a medium or a small as it appears I am between sizes?... Thanks for your help. Oct 10, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Darren W: The gloves are a little bigger than the measurement chart, I found this out as I previously owned another style of icon gloves and just bought the same size in the overlords only to find the overlords being a looser fitting glove whether or not its a full size over or not I cant really tell.
If your in between sizes I would suggest get the one that is closest under your measurements the glove may be a little loose but not too much and won't restrict blood flow to your hand if your doing a decent ride.

Hope this helps you a little.

Gareth M: The glove definitely runs large. I am a medium or even a large in some gloves, but I ordered a small in these. Initially they were a little tight but they broke in to be absolutely perfect. Depending how I measure my hand it ranges from about 3.5 to 3.75 inches wide, or about 8 inches all the way around. You will likely be happy with a small. Oct 12, 2013

kevin o: I'm normally an XL glove in most every other brand, and purchased these in Large. Although they were a big snug when I first bought them, after a bit, they broke in very well, and stretched out to fit perfectly. I would go for a bit smaller than large, as they will stretch just a bit. Hopefully this helps. Oct 11, 2013

A shopper asked: If you couldn't get this (because I can't now), what would your next choice be? I put these gloves on once last year and they felt soo good! I REALLY wish I would have bought them...

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
David H: I didn't realize they were discontinued! Too bad, I have had two pairs and they are great gloves.....Only two problems: since they fit a bit tight, you have to be careful about pulliing them on since the cuff stitching will eventually give up. And the velcro strap is way too small, not enough area to hold. So they're not ideal gloves. Hopefully something better will replace it.

James C: The Scorpion SGS gloves are just as nice, fit better, and are not as bulky. I returned my Icons because the fingers were too long and the knuckle guard was floppy.Scorpion also has palm sliders. Feb 27, 2015
