Icon Hypersport Pants

Evolved from a primordial soup of track day pants the Icon Hypersport Pants give you race ready protection in an over-the-boot street pant with pedigree you can see. Aside from alliteration the Hypersport Pants are the perfect accompanyment to any Icon riding jacket and the pant of choice for flat trackers, hooligans and canyon carvers everywhere.

The main chassis is comprised of 1.2-1.4mm TrackSpec leather, stretch Cordura, and nylon lowers. This construction yields an incredibly durable pant while keeping overall weight to a minimum. TPU knee plates and D3O knee impact protectors are coupled with integrated knee and lumbar flex zones for excellent onbike mobility. Strategic areas of laser-perforated venting and TechMesh paneling help keep everything cool. The tailored fit (no diaper butt here) is accompanied by a ratchet fly closure and dual waist adjustment straps. The Hypersport Pants include an internal waist zipper that connects to either the Hypersport Prime jacket or the Hypersport jacket.

Features:

  • Icon attack fit
  • 1.2-1.4mm TrackSpec leather chassis
  • D30 impact protectors in knees
  • TPU Injected knee plates
  • Integrated flex zones
  • TechMesh panels
  • Waist zipper connects to Icon Hypersport series jackets
  • Overboot fitment

Nice pair of pants. Had to return them.
These pants looked great out of the box. I was looking for a hybrid leather/mesh pant to wear when riding around town. On paper these looked perfect. I tried them on and they fit so size. Then I realized they had no pockets. This disqualified them for my use. I was looking for something to wear while running errands. I have no place to carry a wallet. Bummer.

Hypersport Pants = Good Purchase
I'm 5'5" female and about 179 lbs. I have thick muscular legs and curvy hips. I have a 36" waist but I bought these pants in a 38" to have some extra room. They fit pretty well. The legs are a little long, but they fit well over my Alphinestars SMX-1 Stella boots and don't snag on anything. So far I've been in 80 degree weather and I don't feel too hot or sticky in them. I normally wear thin yoga pants underneath so they don't stick to me. I've also been stuck in a rain storm and took them off and my legs were completely dry. Only downside is there are no pockets. Would def get these again if I need to.

Love these pants
I am a skinny size 28, 5' 6" and these pants fit perfect. They're not too tight and there is still room to move around. I'd definitely say they are a more relaxed fit and will look good going over a pair of boots (for ex. I wear them with Chippewa cowboy style boots and it doesn't look weird). The knee pad adjustment is a great feature and when I am in riding position they cover my knees and shins perfectly at the "short" setting. The pads do not interfere with my almost knee high boots as well. So far they have easily kept me warm and do not feel too hot in warmer conditions. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a pair of low key leather pants that fit perfectly between harley leather style and sport bike style. Also seem like they will protect me in a fall and I like how high up they go up my back as well as the rollerblade style belt/velcro tighteners.

Best pants hands down.
Great match with the Hypersport jacket. Can be zipped together or just wear your normal gear. Pants look awesome. Ventilation is top notch. Fit is slightly small. Super comfortable on and off the bike. Great use of the zipper on the back of the heels to slip on your boots. Adjustable knee D30 plates. Overall great leather and textile mix. Don't forget no pockets. Highly recommended.

Excellent Value, design, quality and protection for the money!
I've been riding with these pants on my FZR 1300 for the past couple of weeks. The fit is very good and true (at least for my anatomically less than perfect Bod!) The knee protection and quality/thickness of the leather should provide very good protection in day to day street and highway tour riding. It's summer here in New England, I've ridden in very hot 95 degrees F, 90% humidity days and the pants stay pretty comfortable with regard to temperature control, venting and design breath-ability. These pants are a terrific value and add a superior level of safety and performance for any biker either sport or cruiser. The low profile look with the low lustre black finish fits right in with both the cruiser and sport touring crowd. A terrific investment in preserving body parts and skin surface!

Nice quality and features for the price and fit welleven for me.
I'll start by saying I usually have a hard fitting clothes etc. I'm 5'8", stocky build and I usually have to comprimise on fit. (size 36 waist)These work well for me even if the pant legs are a bit long when walking but with my boots on I don't notice too much. When riding my ZX-14R they take up fine. The knee pad adjustment helps also. A little warm on hot summer days but all around great for my day rides and commuting to work. I ride in temps down to the low 40s and will soon find out how they do this autumn in Vermont. I would reccommend these for sure.

Cant beat 'em for the price
The hypersport pants offer good protection with a mostly leather construction, hard knee, and D30 armor. They flow air quite well through areas of 3D mesh which is great. The lining is comfortable against the skin. They don't fit me like a race pant, more casual, but that's mostly because of my slender build. I feel comfortable doing more aggressive riding in these pants and for just over $200 they're incredible value.

Great affordable and stylish riding pants
Very stylish, relaxed fit leather/textile pants. They fit exactly like a bootcut jean. Im a pretty small guy, and I can fit a pair of long johns and even a pair of straight or skinny jeans underneath. Flows a TON of air. I was worried that black pants would make me sweat like a pig, but that is not the case at all. The adjustable knee armor height is helpful for fine tuning the armor placement to fit your knee completely when in your riding position. Overall great value, only negative is no pockets.

Icon Hypersport Pants - great value
Bought for my husband. He says - Icon Hypersport Pants are a great value. They are a good touring pant, as long as you pack REV'IT! Acid H2O Rain Pants.

I vary base layer according to the season. When riding in hot summer weather, I use Terramar silk longsjohns. I use a synthetic Under Armour longjohns in cooler weather or if rain is expected during a long tour.

Depending on your build & the fit, you may want to consider suspenders (don't laugh). The pants can ride down over a slippery base layer.

They fit the same as my Levi jeans. Well made. Not garish.

Negative - no pockets. Fortunately, my Klim ADV jacket has plenty of pockets.

Non-Skin Tight Leather Protection
These are one of the few "relaxed" fit options if you are looking for pants that offer leather abrasion resistance.

The pants fit true to size, I am 5'6", 160 lbs, 34" waist. I bought the 32" size to account for any material stretching during normal wear. Even with the stated waist being 32", I can get at least 5-6 solid "clicks" when buckling the waist strap.

One of the options that riders of all sizes I believe will appreciate is the adjustable height knee protectors. Simple, but it's a mystery that more manufacturers just don't incorporate them into the pants.

If I can give any negatives about the pant, it is possibly the lack of any pockets for hip protection (most if not all manufacturers get the placement wrong on these anyway), and that the lower leg is stretchy nylon (you are most likely wearing boots to protect this area).

Why did you choose this?
RevZilla Store
I chose this because it matched my icon hypersport leather jacket.
aaron a on Sep 15, 2016
I have the Hypersport Prime Jacket and wanted the matching pants. I also wanted these because of the mix of materials used vs. all leather all over. Yeah, it gets hot in Florida so getting some textile strategically mixed in with the perf leather sounded like a good combination to me. I also liked the inclusion of the knee armor for the price.

Good design, quality and value, These leather pants are terrific! Fit, comfort and protection. They're comfortable on hot days and look to provide some descent protection by their design. When combined with long legged wicking undergarment they slide on very easy and can be comfortably worn all day. I really like the look, fit and comfort of these pants and would buy them again. Great price point for the quality!

They look like they would be great on my ZX-14R. Good protection and flexible.
Also I like the look better than others I've seen.

they fit like a glove and were very comfortable. great pants. i must say they are definitely hot on a summer day though.
bill w on Jun 25, 2015
I wanted leather protection after watching many reviews of other textile and mesh products. I am warm blooded and couldn't wear full leathers, so these pants looked like a good compromise. I do a lot of different riding, which includes touring, mountain riding, and occasionally I like to ride aggressively. I'm 48 years old and live in California. I thought these pants would breath a little, offer protection and had good stretch areas for me to move freely.

I wanted some great gear for a great price, Icon 1000 has some pretty killer stuff and this is no exception. Sizing was perfect according to the chart. I'm obviously new to motorcycles in general, but i love the feel and look of these pants; The fact that I'm pretty well protected doesn't hurt. I bought mostly Icon gear starting out and I honestly don't regret one cent of it. Enjoy guys!
Zachary H on Feb 22, 2015
Relatively good pants and the adjustability is a nice feature. Although, the pouches that the armor is in very loose due to the adjustment feature so the padding doesn't like to stay in place at all. Also because the pants are a much looser fit than standard leathers, the knee pads are designed to fit in a seated position and can annoyingly sit and ride up just below the knee when standing and walking. Much different to my more track oriented leathers.

Hello

I want this pants in 32 waist. But i am only 30 inseam. On the size chart it is 33.
What will happend with the 3 inchs over? It is possible to be ajusted?
My understand is that i can't be fitted in this pants
Michel P on May 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm also a 32 waist with 30 inseam I just received mine yesterday and they will be returned i would have to pull them up almost to my chest for the butt and crotch to fit right the hip and legs are very baggy. I hate it because they are nice pants just for taller or thicker people.
I purchased the icon overlord prime jacket. The matching pants are no longer available, but these replace them. Will the zipper on these pants zip to my overlord prime jacket? In the description it only states hyper sport jackets. Thanks.
Michael on Aug 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I had the same question so I asked ICON, they answered that the two lines are not compatible unfortunately.
Hello,

This pant works with overloard jacket?

The prime overloard pants are not for sale!

Thank you
lucas f on Oct 25, 2014
Would this be a good touring pant?
A shopper on Sep 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, as long as you pack REV'IT! Acid H2O Rain Pants. I vary base layer according to the season. When riding in hot summer weather, I use Terramar silk longs johns. I'll use a syntheric long john (Under Armour) in cooler weather or if rain is expected during a long tour.
Does it come with internal pockets to insert hip armor?
Tim G on May 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No inside pocket for hip armor or for anything else. Other than the lack of pockets these pants are extremely comfortable compared to others I have tried. I wear them at the same level that I wear my jeans, therefore the waist measurement is the same as my jeans. While I have a bit of a belly, if I were to go by the recommended waist measure of the belly button, these would be way to large in all other aspects.
Wondering how well suited these would be as an overpant?
A shopper on Feb 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These pants have some fashion to them, and are fitted. Unless you mean over tights or long-johns they will not work as over-pants at all. I wear these pants with running tights and knee high ski socks when temperatures are below 40 degrees, and they are perfectly comfortable even at 80 MPH. Without the tights I wear them when the temperatures are between 40 and 55 degrees. After that they are just too warm for me.
Hello,

in the Icon YouTube Videos... the 2 riders had the pant IN their Icon overlord boots! but in every sale Video it says... "OVER" the boot..

is it possible that i can make the pant IN my boots? Or have the two driver from icon an edited version of the hyper sport Pants where the Ends cut off??

geetings
A S on Oct 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have no problem putting the legs of my hyper sport pants inside my riding boots. I would say they look and feel good ether way.
Do the pants have a 360 degree zipper?
A shopper on Aug 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The zipper is not 360 degrees but does cover about 3/4 of the way around and comes with both halves of the zipper. It can easily be sewn into a jacket.
Will the connector zipper on these work with the Rev'it jackets with a short zipper?
duane322 on Apr 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No especially having different zipper lengths. Just swipe a hypersport jacket its a sexy combo!!!
How do these flow air compared to jeans? Reviews have said they flow well, but none give an example. I plan on wearing these every day this summer, in Washington so temperatures shouldn't get above 90.
kevin s on May 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I wore them last summer and thought the airflow was better than my riding jeans. I live in Alaska and wore them on every ride and didn't have a problem. Granted my temps are usually between 40 and 75.
