Icon Compound Mesh Short Gloves
Picked these up on closeout looking for a warmer weather glove option. Glove flows a ton of air and is very thin. Even with the plastic knuckle guards and reinforced palm area, I don't think it would hold up well in crash-but that's the trade off if you want mesh gloves. They fit well and are very comfortable- I haven't felt the stitching bother me like some of the other reviewers. They are easily folded or rolled up to fit in even the smallest of storage spaces as a spare set. Overall I like them, but would have been a bit disappointed if they were full price..

Decent gloves for closeout value
I got these gloves on closeout, and they are decent sumerweight gloves. They do have hard plastic knuckle protection and an extra layer of palm padding. They fit a bit snug and do leave seam lines on my hands after I take them off. They have no construction defects, which I was concerned about after reading other reviews. I checked them thoroughly and found no loose seams or anything of the sort.

I have to admit that I watched the review from Anthony at revzilla so I took his advice on the gloves as I have the icon compound jacket and I must say that these gloves are perfect to me. Fit is great as Anthony's recommendation and the quality for the price is phenomenal. They are a little flashy but not too much and feel great as well as very comfortable.

Good first glove
True to size and overall decent features. I purchased these as my first pair based on a friend's recommendations. He claimed that his pair lasted 4 years at over 30k miles of riding.
Sad to say but mine only lasted for 1 season or 7k miles. After I got them broken in they were comfortable enough, but before that point the internal stitching was somewhat annoying. The velcro separated from the cuffs after 2-3 weeks or so, nothing some staples didn't fix but still annoying.

Not the most comfortable design.
I think these gloves could have used a little more thought in the design process. The pads on the knuckles and fingers are very stiff in the beginning, so when I grip the handle bars or pick up something small, the pads dig into my knuckles.
Other issues I have, is with cuff closure. The cuffs do not close well around my wrists and as a result, the material overlaps, causing a pressure point from a seam. Also, the velcro strap, is stiff and sticks out from the wrist, causing it to catch on the lining of my jacket. This makes it difficult to turn my hands outwards. If there were more velcro to hold the straps at the end to the glove, it would be fine. The upside to the straps, is that I'm able to easily grab them with the other gloved hand.
The last problem I have with these gloves, is the mesh was frayed when they arrived. I thought about snipping off the frayed fabric, but never got around to it. since then, I have noticed more fraying and I have done nothing but wear them for riding. I only wore them for a week before the snow and ice arrived.

Icon Compound Mesh
Great gloves for summer riding. These provide plenty of airflow which makes them great for summer, not so much in the winter. And they also have alot of protection.

great gloves but they are coming unthreaded join the ends already.
These are awesome for those hot TEXAS days! I used them all summer and they are comfortable. They are built well but the seems are already coming apart after one summer. Even though that is happening I will be buying another set for next summer.

Wanted to love these gloves, but flawed
I'd like to start by saying I've had the winter/waterproof version of these gloves (Patrol line, not Compound) with the gauntlet cuff for about a year and I am thrilled with them. That experience led me to pick up these for my summer gloves.
Overall, they are more of a 2.5 than a 3....
Pros: Nice look, armor is good for light gloves
Cons: Man these are over-engineered and the gloves aren't better for it. There is WAY too much stitching in the thumb webbing that is needless and rubs/imprints your skin. For perf gloves the airflow isn't that great. On a hot summer day my hands were a bit too warm. The stitching in the palm was pretty weak and under the little flap of leather you can see it pulling away after light use. Finally, the workmanship seems a bit sloppy in places. If I put the same size L and R gloves up to one another the fingers are different sizes.
I'm usually a big fan of Icon but I was let down with these. I think they'll keep you safe for summer gloves, and yes the look good, but I'd look elsewhere for build and comfort.
