Icon Compound Mesh Long Gloves
I was looking for something a little beefy with good protection without looking like a suit of armor.
These gloves (which I got on sale) were a steal!
I used them in 35 degree weather all ready and still wasn't too bad at all, was I cold? Yes. But I have no doubt they will be great when it is warmer out. There is a lot of air flow and seems like good protection if I go sliding down on my knuckles or lower palm. Yes I am getting new Winter Gloves at some point.
I wear standard L-XL gloves, and these fit just like normal XL gloves, the fingertips are just a little bit long for my fingers but palms fit snug, I just have one of those sizes that borderline in between L and XL so I always choose XL.

Great Deal on some Safe Summer Gloves
The problem with buying gloves online is getting the size right. Sure if you order the wrong size you can send them back, but I *hate* the hassle and expense. I have a closet filled with stuff I never sent back (not to Revzilla, but to a bunch of places).
I've worn XL gloves for as long as I can remember. I simply couldn't believe Anthony when he told me I should order Large in a pair of Dianese I ordered a while back. Well, I did and he was right.
He said Icon had a similar fit, so I order Large, knowing they'd be too small. They arrived today and again, he was right on the mark. (Don't you become irritated when someone is right just a little too often? Especially when it's your wife?)
I don't know if I'd have bought these for $90, but for $48, or whatever they were, great deal. I needed a pair of summer gloves that still had reasonable protection. (I've seen a low speed (maybe 25-30) low-side by a guy not wearing gloves and his pride was hurt far more than any part of his body ... except his left hand.
He was on another guys bike in a parking lot, rode a hundred yards or so from one end to the other, had slowed, but I think accelerated a bit as he did a left turn to come back. There was some gravel down there and in the blink of a young girls eye he was down (which pleased the bikes owner).
Think about it; if you fall you're going to reflexively put one hand down to break the fall. Even going slowly his left hand was bloodied. Had he been going 60 he would have done real damage, to at least the one.
These aren't track gloves, but they appear and feel comfortable and cool enough such that I'll wear them. Excellent for the price, and they fit.
Always, always wear gloves. I don't understand it when I see guys riding without them.

These gloves are definitely great for the summer, they offer pretty good air flow. They however are not very good for 45 degree or lower weather as i figured out the hard way this morning, frozen fingers. I like the smaller straps being on the bottom but the velcro on the bigger straps began coming apart in the first week of use. For the price they are pretty decent.

Fantastic summer glove with protection you can feel
I was in the market for a summer mesh glove, but wanted a gauntlet style, and found the Icon Compound Long Glove.
I bought a 3XXL for my giant hands, and they are perhaps a tad bit too large in the fingers, but overall, the gloves fit well, and I am extremely happy with them.
The gauntlet fits well over my riding jacket, and everything Velcros down well in all the right places. Very comfortable to ride with, and I can fell all the controls and movements of the bike as I ride, as well as the wonderful air flow to keep my hands cool. Excellent glove for those looking for the summer time mesh and the gauntlet style fit

Not what i expected
I got the gloves when i first started riding a year ago, and to be honest it was a good glove. But then it started to break in and it went down hill...fast. The inside of the glove quality is very poor, it scratches my wrist and all along the insides of my fingers.

I had a pair of Icon Twentyniners which fit nicely and seemed to be decent quality, so when I wanted to buy a pair of full gauntlet gloves I thought I would try these out. They are merely OK, not quite as comfortable, the seams inside are a bit irritating. The biggest complaint is that the Velcro on the gauntlet cuff has started to come unstiched after one ride, which is a problem in and of itself, but also calls into question the quality of the rest of the glove and it's ability to protect in a crash. I have requested a return.
