Icon Turnbuckle Gloves

Sometimes the best way forward is back. Craftsmanship and technologies, once abandoned, can be reexamined and repurposed. The Icon One Thousand Turnbuckle uses such refound tech to its advantage. Custom knit forchettes, circa-OG MX gloves, provide uncompromised fit & feel. When paired with a French cowhide chassis and fingertips, the Turnbuckle provides a handheld barricade against asphalt intrusion. D3O armor integrated into the main knuckle furthers the riding legitimacy of the Turnbuckle platform. What’s old is new again.

  • D3O Armor in knuckles
  • Abrasion resistant premium grade French cowhide chassis
  • Knit nylon finger gussets
  • Perforated panels for increased ventilation
  • Secure wrist closure keeps glove in place
  • Pre-curved palm and finger design

More stylish then protective Glove looks great, but not much knuckle padding, also not very warm on 45 degree days but other then that Love the glove it looks awesome. April 14, 2014
Nice style, but a bit large On the size chart I'd be a medium, so that is what I ordered. The gloves fit a little large, but not uncomfortably so when I tried them on. The only issues I've seen are that the Velcro on the wrist won't quite cinch it down tight enough to take the slack out of the glove and hold it in place. I have short pinky fingers and small wrists for my hand size, so this may be an issue that is unique to me. That being said, I love the style and the gloves feel like a good quality produce. I'll be ordering another pair in small when they are back in stock, and hopefully that will resolve my minor gripes. April 12, 2014
Good glove just not sure its worth the price. I really like this glove, It feels light and the d30 armor makes it to where I can fold them up and put them in my jacket pocket, something you will have trouble with some of the bulkier gloves with the carbon knuckles. The only real down sides to this glove is that some of the stitching in the seams could have been done to a higher quality for the price, my biggest issues is in the quality of the glove the left hand pinky finger is noticeably longer then the right hand. It looks like the pinky for a xl glove on a large glove, I'm constantly pushing the leather down for a better fit on that finger. Kinda wish I had sent them back for another pair, but I thought it would settle in place after they broke in. Which it only got worse. For $90 gloves this seems like something that should have been caught by icon, and im sure its just on this set of gloves. The pluses of this glove more than make up for this however good airflow for the amount of protection it provides. I ride in 100+ heat during the summer here so its allays a challenge to find gear that you can stay cool and protected in. OVER ALL WOULD RECOMMEND THIS GLOVE JUST MAKE SURE IT FITS RIGHT, DON'T GET STUCK WITH A FACTORY DEFECT LIKE I DID..... especially when revzilla makes the return and exchange process so easy, minus the wait on dam UPS!!! as allays though revzilla rocks... love this site. probably watched 50 videos before I chose these gloves. Great gloves for the price. These are the first pair of leather gloves I purchased and I have to say that I am impressed. While they don't have all the bells and whistles that some other gloves have they are perfect for what I was looking for in both protection and style. They will take awhile to break in but I can already tell that the more I use these gloves the more I will like them. February 18, 2014
d3o can keeps your hands safe icon have d3o can keeps your hands safe, thanks you! February 15, 2014
Stop looking These gloves are awesome. They are made REALLY well and fit and feel great. Revzilla makes ordering from them a very enjoyable experience. They included 2 Revzilla stickers, an Icon color product catalog, an Icon sticker and if the fit is off you got everything you need to send them back for free. By far the best gloves I've ever owned. Great airflow I really like the look of these gloves, and they are very comfortable (although just a tad long in the fingers). They broke in very quickly and flow a ton of air. I believe they will make a great warm weather glove. September 30, 2013
Average glove nothing special Gloves are two different sizes, right is smaller than left, taking way longer to break in that one than I would like. Icon symbol on back rides right on my knuckles not the back of my hand. Always been impressed with icon gloves, 5th pair, might be time to find another glove maker. September 30, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
larry s: Because they are badass Apr 1, 2014
Adam M: I'm new to riding but these have the style I'm after for the kind of weather I will be keeping to until I am more experienced. The olive green option is just too nice, and with Anthony's raving on the comfort I had to give them a shot. REVZILLA IS THE ONLY PLACE I BUY NOW! Mar 30, 2014
H U: Need some new summer gloves that would last more than a couple seasons. These leather gloves look like they should last and the D3O protection will keep them soft but offer good protection. Feb 16, 2014
John C: Need a versatile glove and this seemed to fit both price point and functionality. Then it had the best ratings and reviews. Jan 25, 2014
Michael S: Great looking gloves and what a recommendation on the video! Dec 1, 2013
Lawrence C: Again style function and look. Nov 24, 2013
Warren H: Not too bulky around the knuckles. Nov 21, 2013
Sol F: Loved the sound of these gloves from the video, I've been looking for a glove that has some very comfortable features where most textile gloves I find too rigid and uncomfortable after a few hours Nov 8, 2013
Jose V: A very silly reason if Anthony, that has at his disposition hundreds of gloves, and this is the one that he personally uses, it must be good. Of course I like also the glove. Oct 23, 2013
Jesse L: I picked this glove because of the style, the video guide, and because Icon is a Portland company. Sep 8, 2013
Cade H asked: Hi everyone.
I'm really interested in ordering these gloves but I am in Australia and I'm a little concerned with the sizing.
To the sizing chart I am a medium and in my Alpinestars SP-1 and Dainese D-Drys im also a very snug Medium.
Do you think you could give me any guidance from that info?
Thank you very much

Jeffrey R: Hi Cade H,
I purchased these same gloves in April and I wore them all summer here in Rhode Island, USA. They were my primary summer gloves until I started using the ' Held Rodney Gloves' (Tan) late summer. I like the Held better and they fit better. I wear a small in all my gloves including this one. The Icon 1000 fit is snug but not so snug that they cut off circulation. They will stretch a little but not much. Although I like the Held Rodney Glove better, the Icon 1000 gloves are great and look cool in Green. Good ventilation nice summer riding glove.
If you normally take a medium glove, they will probably fit the same as the Alpinestar and Dainese, that is 'snug'.
If you can afford the extra $10 go with the 'Held Rodney Gloves' , you won't be disappointed. Both gloves are a great choice. The Held fits better and is a better built glove in my opinion. Hope this helps...Jeff RI USA

Lindsay H: Hi there,
I'm also from Australia. I bought these gloves in L and they are perfect (on the size chart I would be L too), but in my Alpinestars I buy XL.
I guess it depends on how snug your A* and Daineses are, the mediums in these could end up being the right fit.

Hope this helps.

Adam M: I purchased a pair of mediums from the size chart, but they are actually a little bit loose on my hand. They are still comfortable and I will buy another pair, but I think I'll order a small just to stop the bunching in the palm when working the throttle. Apr 12, 2014

Alexander S: I am a snug Large in the D-Drys, and the Large Icons are a perfect fit. Hope that helps! Sep 25, 2013

A shopper asked: I got these as a gift but am thinking of returning them. Here's my issue and hopefully someone can help out:
My hand size is 3 3/4 inches which means a L on this glove side but when I called I was told they fit big so I should order a M @ 3 1/4. Overall, the fit is pretty tight and when I take off the gloves, you see the marks of the stitching on my hand (fingers, and top of hand). Overall, not SUPER tight but tight enough. My main issue is with the fingertips portion. There seems to be extra thick stitching and it really digs into my tips. After 10 minutes of riding, it feels chafed and it burns. Overall, not a pleasant feel but I love the build and the overall glove. So.. will it break in and become soft, do I need another size/brand or do I put them in water and the wear them till they dry? GrinningMouths: I experienced this with this glove as well. I ended up returning them due to poor fit and a few other issues. I can say that leather takes a few weeks to break in properly and that your issue might go away, though it sounds like your gloves might be on the tight side. May 12, 2013

Mattheikkila: I had the same issue trying them one large fit the best but because of the stitching I went with and XL. They still fit well but stitching doesn't dig in and I can ride without any issues with fit. May 9, 2013
