D3O armor integrated into the main knuckle furthers the riding legitimacy of the Turnbuckle platform. What’s old is new again.

  • D3O Armor in knuckles
  • Abrasion resistant premium grade French cowhide chassis
  • Knit nylon finger gussets
  • Perforated panels for increased ventilation

A glove to love. I am loving these. A warning though, the size chart could lead you astray. If I had followed it, I would have ordered large as it only accounts for your palm width, not your finger length. I went with XL and they are a little snug still, but they fit and I imagine will give a little over time. August 18, 2014
bitchin got these for my bday from the gf. love em, but the sizing is off. according to icon i am a medium, exactly. but I took someone else's advice and went down to a small. they were tight for a couple days but after breaking in fit perfectly, nice and snug but not too tight, perfect. and I can even work a d ring fastener with them, unlock doors etc. the mediums would have been bulky, unwieldy. Icon typically makes their stuff a bit larger, so keep that in mind if you are someone who cares about functionality as much as style. I got the green ones and they wear in very nicely, they look naturalish, if that makes sense. the nylon stretch material keeps you cool and makes them extra comfy, but could be detrimental in a crash along the edge of the palm/pinkie. worth the risk for me, but worth mentioning. I dig 'em. Icon is getting better at this... August 7, 2014
Comfortable protection. The Icon Turnbuckle gloves were an excellent purchase for me. The moment you put them on there is confidence in the protection they afford and the comfort. Though slightly snug, the measurement was true and without a doubt they will give into and conform to my hand in a slight stretching. Air flow is well done, but not excessive. I look forward to many miles while wearing these comfortable gloves. This was my first Revzilla purchase and it was wonderful. I look forward to my next purchase. August 4, 2014
some dang good gloves They seem sturdy enough to withstand a fall, but hopefully I'll never know for sure. Right hand fits great, but the left pinky is too long. I'm not sure if it's the glove or if I have a bad case of asymmetry. July 14, 2014
OK I guess Gloves fit good, look good and are comfortable. ... Until the buttons on the inside of the glove that hold the metal icon logo on come loose and fall into the finger tips. And price was dropped right after I bought them. .... July 9, 2014
Quality gloves but they need a little break-in time I bought these gloves for 3 season riding to provide a little more protection than the mesh gloves i usually wear. They are solidly built and feel secure when you put them on. The seams inside the fingers are bulky and cause the gloves to fit tight until they break in. July 5, 2014
decent gloves for the price My other two pairs of gloves are revit h2o unix and a flimsy pair of Harley branded leather and mesh gloves. The turnbuckles are a step up from the Harley gloves, but not as protective as the revit gloves. I like the style of the turnbuckles and the fit is good with two exceptions. 1) the middle finger on the right glove seems longer than the one on the left glove and 2) the seams on the inside of some of the finger tips are stiff and lead to numbness after a while and I need to adjust my fingers in the glove to relIeve this. Hopefully this will soften up with use. The leather on these gloves is very nice and the white icon logo and text is not overdone. Overall I'm happy with the gloves. July 2, 2014
Good leather gloves for the price Fit well using the chart, good value for leather gloves with integral armor in the knuckles that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. June 23, 2014

Jose V: A very silly reason if Anthony, that has at his disposition hundreds of gloves, and this is the one that he personally uses, it must be good. Of course I like also the glove. Oct 23, 2013
Jesse L: I picked this glove because of the style, the video guide, and because Icon is a Portland company. Sep 8, 2013
Cade H asked: Hi everyone.
I'm really interested in ordering these gloves but I am in Australia and I'm a little concerned with the sizing.
To the sizing chart I am a medium and in my Alpinestars SP-1 and Dainese D-Drys im also a very snug Medium.
Do you think you could give me any guidance from that info?
Thank you very much

Jeffrey R: Hi Cade H,
I purchased these same gloves in April and I wore them all summer here in Rhode Island, USA. They were my primary summer gloves until I started using the ' Held Rodney Gloves' (Tan) late summer. I like the Held better and they fit better. I wear a small in all my gloves including this one. The Icon 1000 fit is snug but not so snug that they cut off circulation. They will stretch a little but not much. Although I like the Held Rodney Glove better, the Icon 1000 gloves are great and look cool in Green. Good ventilation nice summer riding glove.
If you normally take a medium glove, they will probably fit the same as the Alpinestar and Dainese, that is 'snug'.
If you can afford the extra $10 go with the 'Held Rodney Gloves' , you won't be disappointed. Both gloves are a great choice. The Held fits better and is a better built glove in my opinion. Hope this helps...Jeff RI USA

Lindsay H: Hi there,
I'm also from Australia. I bought these gloves in L and they are perfect (on the size chart I would be L too), but in my Alpinestars I buy XL.
I guess it depends on how snug your A* and Daineses are, the mediums in these could end up being the right fit.

Hope this helps.

Adam M: I purchased a pair of mediums from the size chart, but they are actually a little bit loose on my hand. They are still comfortable and I will buy another pair, but I think I'll order a small just to stop the bunching in the palm when working the throttle. Apr 12, 2014

Robert B asked: Question about the sizing here. I have yet to measure my hand to find what exact size I am so I'm seeing if I can get an answer here. I wear my Mechanix gloves in a XL. They fit perfect. I could get away with a Large but it is so snug to the point where I feel that it may tear because at times it is so tight. It feels like a 2nd skin (the point of gloves lol) and since this is my first pair of motorcycle gloves I'd like to make sure I'm getting the right size.

So I guess compared to my work / utiity gloves I use to work on my truck, yard, etc which are all XL, would I want these gloves in a XL as well?

Cheers! -Rob

W S: Yes, I guess. The fingers are a little long and thin, and the glove is fairly elastic. That and the velcro strap allows for a good fit. Good luck! Aug 7, 2014

Amanda M: Ordered an XL because I wear an XL in Mechanix gloves. The Icon XL gloves fit snugly. Aug 5, 2014

A shopper asked: I got these as a gift but am thinking of returning them. Here's my issue and hopefully someone can help out:
My hand size is 3 3/4 inches which means a L on this glove side but when I called I was told they fit big so I should order a M @ 3 1/4. Overall, the fit is pretty tight and when I take off the gloves, you see the marks of the stitching on my hand (fingers, and top of hand). Overall, not SUPER tight but tight enough. My main issue is with the fingertips portion. There seems to be extra thick stitching and it really digs into my tips. After 10 minutes of riding, it feels chafed and it burns. Overall, not a pleasant feel but I love the build and the overall glove. So.. will it break in and become soft, do I need another size/brand or do I put them in water and the wear them till they dry? (Note: See attached pic)

GrinningMouths: I experienced this with this glove as well. I ended up returning them due to poor fit and a few other issues. I can say that leather takes a few weeks to break in properly and that your issue might go away, though it sounds like your gloves might be on the tight side. May 12, 2013

Mattheikkila: I had the same issue trying them one large fit the best but because of the stitching I went with and XL. They still fit well but stitching doesn't dig in and I can ride without any issues with fit. May 9, 2013
