Icon 1000 Rimfire Gloves
Solid. Good for cold weather
I bought this glove to 'go with' my cafe racer project, and as a generally less perforated option than my 100% perforated summer glove.
First off, the leather is solid. The seems are nice and beefy, where I imagine they could help in a slide. I really enjoy the split back panel and the d3o inserts. As you can see in the video and my photos (wont upload), the underside of fingers have an extended area before the seems meet. I feel like this adds a lot more tactile feel on the controls.
The negative is that after only a few rides, there are a few threads coming out. I imagine if it gets bad, quickly, I would either get them repaired at a leather shop or the guys and gals at Revzilla would exchange them. We shall see.
Also, I took about an hour long ride home from school tonight. Completely dark. I made sure I bundled up on the way out there, when it was sunny.
By the time I got home it was 40 degrees (1700 feet up) and people had been giving me the "You crazy yo" look. Anyways, up until about ten minutes before I got home, my hands were completely comfortable. At that point, the tips were a bit numb. With that said, I have no fairings and am getting blasted by everything. So I'd say these are definitely a great late fall glove.

amended for winter wear
I just want to add a review that states something I have done to make this glove a nice Calif winter glove. I purchased a thin liner glove to wear under these and it works like a dream! I spent $20 and now have a great 4 season Calif glove. If I could, I would give this glove an 8 on bang for the buck, with the addition of an inexpensive liner. The liner also smooths out the internal leather feel that is slightly rugged otherwise.

Great looking glove but rough on the hands
I bought these gloves because they match my Icon 1000 jacket. I bought them and they are uncomfortable on long rides. The seams on the inside rub against my hands. I bought them at the store because I saved $10 in comparison to Revzilla. I regret it because if I had bought them on Revzilla, I could have returned them no hassle.

Made in china, quality shows
These looked very clean and slim in the picture, but the product that arrived in the mail was disappointing. The finish on these was poor, with many of the edges around the fingers cut unevenly, and bits of the lining layer poking out around the stitches.
I ordered a medium, but the gloves seemed to fit more like a large, especially the thumb, which seems to be over-sized. I shrank my pair using hot water and alcohol, and that seemed to help the fit some.
The D3O armor in the knuckles is nice, it is very flexible but still seems protective when I punch something hard. These aren't vented at all, so they might get a bit warm. They are not waterproof out of the box and will end up a soggy mess during a big rainstorm, though they'd probably hold out long enough during a light rain.
Overall, I was mostly disappointed with the poor finish on these gloves, especially the ragged edges. Would not buy again online. Would only recommend these from a brick & mortar store where you could actually try them on and take a closer look at them before buying.

Great pair of gloves
I have had these gloves for a couple of months now and I really like them. After a couple days of wearing they broke in and fit perfectly. They are pretty comfortable with one minor irritation. The thumbs have internal seams unlike the rest of the gloves and on the right glove the seam gets annoying after a full day of riding. A callous will eventually fix this and the gloves are otherwise really comfortable. I especially like how well they breathe.
The gloves look really nice but if you buy the grey ones be aware they are much lighter in color than they appear in pictures. I thought they would be a few shades lighter than black, but they are more of a very light grey. Still nice but different than expected.

Great with a big flaw
I love these gloves. they look great, are easy to slip on, super soft leather. my beef is that they metal sliders on the pinky side of the palm leave brass colored discoloration on your grips.
if those weren't there, or at least didn't rub off, I would give 5 stars.

Trendy, retro style, with modern materials and protection!
I ordered these gloves because the style caught my eye. My bike is styled on the bikes from the late 50's/cafe style so these blended perfect. Also the reason the material construction is top notch and the D3 knuckle armor adds very good impact protection on the knuckles. These gloves being cowhide are a little stiff but are breaking in even with the minor pre curve to them. They defiantly have the feel of a deerskin rancher glove, but in a slide I think the materials are solid and will hold up well. Keep in mind consider the usage as these do not have a padded palm so that may take away from comfort for some. These gloves do run a bit large as I have to exchange for a size down, which was a breeze with revzilla and if I had call first they would of advised me of due to their experience and product knowledge. Overall I highly recommend for cruiser or cafe owners. As they fit that style very well off great protection w/o looking to ricky racer.
