Held Sambia Gloves I chose these gloves because if the Gear Guide reviews Revzilla does. I followed the glove fitting guide and these gloves work great! The fit great, I get good feel of my handle bars and clutch and seem to offer good protection. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. Thanks again Revzilla! October 5, 2015
Awesome summer glove Used these all this past summer in FL, works great, fits great, even dries well after a good soak on the way home! Highly recommend for summertime. September 30, 2015
protective summer gloves Pros: Materials Construction Air flow Protection My only con is that the fingers could be a little longer. Fit on the rest of my hand is great. 2,300 miles with these gloves and not a torn stitch. They should easily get me through next riding season as well. For a warm weather glove, I feel well protected in these. September 28, 2015
Well made glove Well made glove. It sizes true to size to slightly large. I wish it was a hair tighter but still a good fit after 90 days. I wouldn't call it a bang for the buck glove but the it's features and quality construction justifies it prices. Of note, the seams are on the outside of the glove so it makes the glove comfy inside with no seams rubbing your fingers but the outside seams slightly reduce dexterity when using your navigation. Gauntlet gloves from now on... The Held line of motorcycle gloves are definitely well made and comfortable. The truth is, I loved this glove -- until I went down. I had a deer shoot through the trees and hit me like a linebacker, sweeping me off of my bike. I was out upon impact and did the rag doll tumble down the asphalt. I've since learned that whitetail deer can hit speeds of over 45mph and the one that hit me was running full-tilt! The gloves protected my knuckles quite well but the undersize Velcro wrist fastener came loose and I received a very deep road rash on my right wrist. I have learned my lesson and now wear gauntlet gloves summer and winter. September 26, 2015
Lasted Three Months The stitching failed after just three months, 1,500 miles of use. The entire outside seam of the left forefinger unraveled, at once, from fingertip to knuckle yesterday. The stitching on the tip of the left middle finger is also unraveling. I expected better quality from Held. Prior to this failure I'd have given the gloves 3.5 stars. I like the protective features and the air flow was adequate. Fit size was the same as on the Alpinestars gloves that these replaced. Now I'll have to wear my backup gloves until I can get these replaced - with something not from Held. August 22, 2015
Great hot weather protection I've had these gloves for over a year now and they're still in great condition. I looked around to find the best hot weather gloves that actually provided good protection and I found these. The kangaroo leather palm is very soft and flexible. I can't see myself going to any other kind of palm leather again. There is the rubber wrist protection which would offer lots of padding and having rubber on the fingers is much better than just having fabric. The pinky leather protection is something I was also looking for. The only thing I don't like? I wish there were more color options (something not yellow). August 15, 2015
Great Gloves Great comfortable gloves. good stitching, good materials and amazing fit. I see these holding up for a while. Great for my in city commute. July 13, 2015

Kenneth V: Held has been a trusted glove since I first purchased a pair about four years ago. No pair has disappointed me yet. May 28, 2015

Nageshwar P: Tried it in local store it fits well and loved the review video by Revzilla. May 18, 2015
James S: Based on the reviews and the video, I feel these gloves will not only be a good pair for adventure riding, but also for commuting (I live in West Texas, with extremely hot summers). Plus, the grey color is awesome. May 14, 2015
Drew H: Excellent glove for warm to hot days. All day comfort. Works on my dual-sport bike or just street riding. Apr 19, 2015
Matt M: because reviews Apr 6, 2015
T H: I tried these on at a rally and they are basically just like the BMW GS Pro Rallye gloves, which I have and love. Mar 21, 2015
A s: Looking for protection and fit. Good on both counts but poor stitching around the thumb came apart after about a year. Note that I did not wear these gloves exclusively for that time. Also the leather faded seriously in the Florida sun. Mar 2, 2015
A s: revzilla review Feb 6, 2015
Antonio Z: Great brand, I had a pair of this gloves a long time ago and i liked them a lot.. Jan 30, 2015
Rick R: great gloves for summer riding. Jan 28, 2015
Richard M: Warm weather gloves with superior protection and features. Great air flow. I sized up due to concerns it would fit too snugly. Now I can easily wear a liner when the temps drop. Jan 26, 2015
Royce K: I tried on in the store and really really liked them, even though I was looking to buy a full gauntlet that day. I ended up with the HELD EVO THRUX that day and was very happy, so a few months later I decided to order the SAMBIA as a short-cuff alternative, based solely on that fit experience and my recent experience with my new EVO THRUXs. My previous gloves were REV'IT (don't remember model) and the finger lengths didn't quite match my hand. Both HELDs I have fit well. Jan 11, 2015
Jacquelyne T: My son in law said they are the best!! Dec 12, 2014
Timothy R: Held is a brand known for quality and although the fingers are too long for my hand, the rest of the glove fits perfectly. Anthony's review was spot on. A great glove and now my daily use glove. Oct 31, 2014
William L C: This is my second pair. The first sustained a lot of punishment from rocks, mud, sand and sweat. No complaints. Great kit. Thanks, BC Jun 28, 2014
Leonard P: The fit and price point Jun 25, 2014
bruce w: These are killer summer gloves - when they wear out, I'll be getting another pair. My favorite gloves. Held all the way... May 6, 2014
K O: I wanted a cool breathable summer glove for riding on very hot days Apr 27, 2014
Patrick S: They don't actually work fit me so sold them Apr 22, 2014
David P: Held is awesome. Love them. Apr 22, 2014
Christopher T: Sent back. Poor quality control. Was shipped with separation at seam near thumb. To bad. I liked them. Mar 16, 2014
Michael P: Quality build and protection from this company. Feb 9, 2014
Lee W: I have another pair of these gloves I bought last year from revzilla and they fit perfectly and my hands stay cool when it's hot out. Just wanted the grey pair to go with my grey Klim Latitude jacket. The shorter cuff works well with the longer sleeves of the jacket. Dec 26, 2013
Jerry G: I wanted to replace my aging Held Airstream gloves and the reviews were good. Oct 28, 2013
Patrick D: I was looking fo something I can use in the hot summer time which provides good protection for adventure riding. Sep 15, 2013
Andrew S: I like a short glove with a bit of wrist protection, and these fit the bill. There is a seam that runs over the carpal bone of the thumb that's quite uncomfortable. I did try a size up but they were way too big. My first pair blew a seam on the first day of a 10 day trip. A replacement is on it's way. Venting and feel are very good. I wouldn't purchase these again. I think the high end Helds are worth it, but these are over priced for what you get IMO. Aug 9, 2013
Thomas M asked: Does this glove has a Visor Wiper? It looks like it in the photos, but not in the review video. Was there an update/change in the product mid-cycle? Jun 4, 2014

Patrick S: Sort of. There is a flimsy piece of rubber on the index finger finger but I wouldn't say it actually works well as a visor wipe (especially when I compare it to my rev'it h2o gloves and the strip works awesome). Jun 4, 2014

Miguel M asked: Does this gloves have the availability to control touchscreen devices like an iPhone? Sep 21, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Eric S: Hi Miguel, I have a nokia Lumia 920 and there is a setting on the phone to be able to use it with gloves. When I put it on the normal sensitivity, it was still working, definately not as smoothly, usable, but might be a little frustrating for any real use. Best answer I could give you hope it helps. HeldWhile most gloves sold in the US are offered in alpha sizes (Small, Medium, Large, etc), Held gloves are sold in numeric glove sizes. The most accurate way to choose a glove size is to measure your hands using the directions and charts below. To get an idea of what Held Glove sizes correspond to in typical american gloves, a conversion guide is included below just to get you started in the right direction.

Held Size Estimated Men's Size
6 – 6 1/2 XS
7 – 7 1/2 SM
8 – 8 1/2 MD
9 – 9 1/2 LG
10 XL
11 2XL
12 3XL

Steps to Measure For Held Gloves

  • Use a flexible measuring tape to measure your hand in inches.
  • Measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.
  • Take an accurate, snug measurement.
  • Measure both hands and use the largest measurement.
  • Compare your measurement to the size charts below

Held Sizing Guide

Held Glove Fitment Tips

Held gloves should fit snugly when new. They will stretch out during break in and form to fit your hand.

If you have long fingers, but a relatively narrow palm you should order a size up as the size chart does not account for finger length.

Please note, if your hand measures toward the upper limit of the size measurements, the gloves will fit very snugly. If you prefer that your gloves do not fit so snugly, you may want to select the next size larger. Held kangaroo gloves are a very precise fit. Because Held gloves are such a fitted glove, many people enjoy the snug fit. This is actually very comfortable, with few wrinkles and little crumpling in the palm area.

A properly fitted Held will "fit you like a glove".
