More protection, flexibility, and comfort.
I bought this to replace the stock armor in a forcefield pro shirt, and am quite pleased with the purchase. Though the armor fits slightly smaller than the stock armor, it still fits fine in the pockets of the shirt. These newer CE level 2 pads are far more flexible and comfortable than the older ones. They also flow air much better and are cool to the touch making them a very comfortable upgrade in terms of protection.

Good for a retro fit
I have an old jacket that had shoulder armor held in place with velcro. At this point I didn't trust it, but the company is out of business and there's no direct replacement.

Unlike the d30 armor, this stuff allows you to attach velcro. A 1" wide strip with some shoe goo and the armor was in place. The armor is very flexible and reasonably light.

It does have a distinct curvature - it works for me in both the knees and the shoulder, but you can see where they bonded the flat version to create the final shape. If it's too curved, you could just slice at those joints and you'd have the flat version.

With a CE2 rating, it's a nice upgrade.

almost big enough
I bought these to replace the stock shoulder pads that come with the LARGE Pro-Shirt X-V-S. The stock pads say SMALL right on the pad and not going to work with 17in arms and large deltoids. These pads are larger and more flexible than the stock pads though still A bit to small for me, however, the added flexibility allows the pro-shirt to pull them down flat and out of the way of my helmet when I look back to check lanes. an added bonus is the upgrade to level 2 protection over stock.

Much lighter and more flexible that D3O that came with KLIM Badlands yet provides similar protection and less affected by temperature changes.

Has the best brand reputation, highest CE ratings, and was looking to install some armor in a new jacket that didn't come with any.
Amos W on Feb 2, 2016
I purchased the replacement armor to upgrade some existing armor I already had in a jacket. Unlike the Forcefield back protectors (I've got two and they are awesome) the "NET" elbow and shoulder pads are just oaky. They don't seem to really provide as much protection as I was hoping for. I ended up customizing them with my own, homemade added padding.

I had bought the size large pro shirt x-v-s but the included shoulder pads are size small. says so right on the pad. I have 17inch arms and large deltoids. needed something bigger. I'm not the bony Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo type. Not to be insulting but large should be large. The only armor in the shirt I won't have to replace is the back pad. Should have bought the shirt without the armor and then the armor piece by piece.

Upgrade shoulder armor in my leather jacket. The cupped shape of this Forcefield armor is more comfortable and stays in the mesh pockets more easily. I have used this make of elbow armor in other jackets and am pleased with it.

Thanks

Would this fit a REV'it gt air plus mesh jacket ? ( zilla award one ) Thanks guys!
Anthony C on Nov 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: While I don't have a REV'it jacket I do have an Olympia Airglide 4 mesh jacket. I have fitted my jacket with the Forcefield Net Replacement shoulder and elbow armor and they fit great. Both are very comfortable, especially while in the riding position on the bike.

I recommend this replacement armor.
Will these inserts fit the armor pockets in a Harley Davidson jacket?
A shopper on Jul 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi there,

Honestly, this item should be considered as universal fit. As in it won't fit anything specifically but can fit anything with minor modifications. This material is extremely easy to cut with a box cutter, and for the best finish the edges can be rounded off with a bench grinder to perfection. I really do like this armor and use it in most all of my jackets. Personally, I recommend the "NET Flat" version when comfort is more important, and the normal "Net" version for when protection is a bit more important. Not that there is much difference, but the "flat" version is a little more comfortable and conforming to the body, while the "normal" version stays in place better but is just slightly more bulky since it tries to keep it's shape. Although protection is identical. The Normal version is the Flat version simply glued into a "cup" shape.
Will these fit into a Joe Rocket Alter Ego 3.0 Jacket? I want to replace the current armor the jacket comes with and I am between these or the Forcefield Replacement Shoulder Armor (the grey ones). Which one will fit better and/or which one is more protective over all?
Allan B on May 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes they do. :)
