Forcefield Elite Chest Protector

A great amount of design time has gone into the Forcefield Elite Chest Protector. Forcefield is well aware of chest protectors being too bulky and hard for practical use. This slim and low-pro breathable design is soft enough to curve around the individual’s body shape, utilizing the Forcefield Nitrex Evo Armour to provide the protection. The straps are multi-adjustable with the option of being removed completely if they are not needed.

Features:

  • The fully CE approved Elite chest protector is designed to be soft, flexible and comfortable
  • Nitrex Evo a unique high-tech triangular shock absorbing material combined with dense and lightweight foam, energy can be dispersed evenly over its surface
  • CE approved Nitrex Evo Armour features “RPT” – Repeat Performance Technology
  • Low profile and slim design is fully adjustable (height & width) and 3D molds to the riders body shape
  • Breathable and lightweight
  • CE approved to: EN1621-2 (Level 1)

Not For Skinny Guys 5'11", 150lbs, got the SM/MD, and it is too big. If the protector had more curve to it maybe it would fit ok. But it's fairly flat and stiff so it sticks out awkwardly. The straps are also positioned strangely and I found it hard to get it adjusted well. I really want to make this protector work since it is pretty much the only stand alone chest protector out there. But It's just too bad of a fit. August 4, 2015
Solid construction that gives you confidence I bought this protector, because I have several jackets that lack proper frontal impact protection. This piece definitely gives me the protection and versatility that I was looking for. Hopefully, I wont need its protection, but I feel it will do the job. The only down side is, that, despite a few holes for venting, it makes you sweat like crazy. Your t-shirts will be soaked. And the straps on the rear get twisted occasionally. But considering the benefits and the lack of similar products currently out there, I would buy it again. July 6, 2015
ideal replacment for bulky chest pads I bought this to replace the chest pad that comes with the pro shirt x-v-s that is grotesquely thick and protrudes out the front to the point of ridiculous and in the way. I wear the Elite chest protector over a sleeveless t-shirt and under the pro shirt. It doesn't get in the way and vents very well. It also covers A larger area for added protection and feels heavy enough to provide at least some puncture barrier. It is of high quality and well constructed but, although thinner it is A bit heavier than the stock chest pad that comes with the pro shirt x-v-s. However, I personally see that as A plus. Essential Protection I participate in adventure and street riding on my GS and this product was recommended by a friend who was riding with another buddy who came off his bike during an off-road adventure ride and was not wearing any kind of chest protection. He smacked his rib cage against the top edge of the windshield when he came off the bike and spent some time in the hospital because of this injury. The Forcefield chest protector would have mitigated the extent of his injuries if he had been wearing one. It slips on readily and after a few rides it is barely detectable because it feels like the rest of your normal gear. I wear an Aerostitch Darien Jacket which provides ample room to wear the Forcefield. September 22, 2014

David B: Good chest protection. Easy on and off. Could not find chest protection built into a jacket for reasonable price or for warm weather. May 11, 2015
Tony H: The chest protector that comes with the forcefeild xvs shirt is ridiculous. Should have bought the shirt without armor and bought the armor separately. Live and learn May 1, 2015

Paul B: Thickness is even all the way across the piece. A little more than a 1/4 inch in thickness. Great product. I have a jacket that already has back protection so this helps. You will sweat a bit more in hot weather however. I have decided to wear it
underneath my riding shirt for the cafes.

David T asked: Can this product be used "backwards" as chest protector / rib protector since my jacket already has CE Level 2 protection? May 1, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (1)
David T: I contacted Forcefield and this was their response:

It is possible to wear the Rib protector at the front for chest/rib protection. It may be a little bit awkward to put it on, but if you fasten it at the front and then twist around and then put your arms through the shoulder elastic it should be fine.
