Great 3/4 boot choice! Very happy. I wanted a boot to go under riding pants/jeans. I also wanted more protection than a low cut boot. This boot fits the bill perfectly so far. Boot looks great. Not ridden yet, but looks well constructed. The straps seemed easier to work than some other boots. I like that. Understandably, as a 3/4 boot, it loses some shin protection. So, I might look into shin pads that could insert easily into the boot top, as my riding pants fall a bit short in the knee/shin protection on them meeting with the boot protection. So, feeling a bit naked in that gap. But, I guess that's the trade-off on a 3/4 boot. Fuller, separate knee/shin protection would probably wear easier with a low cut boot. BUT, the ankle protection and sturdiness on this 3/4 feels great relative to a low cut. Much less concerned about twisting ankles with these. So, again, trade offs. But, very happy. As for size/fit, the boot initially feels a bit small. I have another manufacturer's boot in the same size (11) and it definitely feels a bit bigger relative to this boot. So, similar to another review I read, I felt like I could take a 1/2 size bigger, especially on one foot that is a bit bigger than the other. BUT...and here's the big BUT...since there seems to be more heel room than toe room in my opinion in this boot, in a toe-down, heel-up riding position, the boot actually gets pretty comfortable. While not loose, it feels like your foot shifts back to fill the heel area and then you get the toe comfort, especially since a 3/4 boot gives you a little more flexibility anyway. So, maybe it is designed that way, as I haven't had that feeling with other boots. And, in the end, especially with a little breaking-in, I think the size will be perfect and true. At least for me, I think ordering up a size would have been a mistake. I think these will break in just fine. In sum, I am very happy. They look great. They fit great under pants. I think the snugness I mentioned will work out fine or not matter when riding. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my choice. January 24, 2015
Saved my foot, but one good wreck and the boot is dead. First of all I am kind of torn on this review. I purchased these on 4/3/2014 and destroyed them on 8/21/2013. 4 months is not a long time for boots. In general trails riding on dirtbikes they were fine. For the price point even great. Having real tread on the bottom is an advantage in the Texas brush. However the buckles always felt cheap, however since they worked i did not complain. However on the 21st, I took a tumble doing a nasty hill climb, and my right leg got caught between the rear wheel and subframe. I also managed to hit the gas as I was falling. Total damage was a shredded boot. Buckles ripped of, all the seams coming apart, the little cloth piece near the bottom that keeps water out was ripped off entirely, and a good piece of tread was removed. Scared the **** out of me as well. However I managed to get up, use the velcro to tighten the boot and ride the bike back to base. So I would give these boots a 4/5 overall. I did not hurt my leg - the most important part - but I still feel the boots should have been able to take more than one hit. September 3, 2014
Great for the $ Wasn't expecting much for the price but these are truly comfortable and well made. I heard they ran small so I bought a size 12 (usually 11.5). They are a touch too big... wish they had half sizes. July 7, 2014
First boot owned So far so good. A comfortable fit and feel. Mobility off bike is better than I anticipated. Very adjustable buckle system. Construction appears to be pretty solid but at this price looks pretty good. May 12, 2014
Good quality for the Money The boots appear very well built. I had to send back the 11 for a 12. Wish they came in 11 1/2. They are very stiff. I hope they loosen some. Plan to walk around in them a bit to see if they will loosen up. Maybe mow the lawn in them this spring. As is might make shifting a little awkward. I like the shorter atv version. buckle system is good and they go on and come off easily. Better than my taller motocross boots. If they loosen up a bit and with my Gor-tex socks they should work great for half the cost of more expensive Gor-tex boots. February 3, 2014
Great support good fit I liked these boots immediately. They are a bit stiff out of the box, but I'm from the old school where good boots are stiff at first and need to be broken in, so no big deal. Boots looked good but I didn't like the white sole layer so I blacked it with a sharpie rather than wait for it to dirty on its own. Great price. February 3, 2014
These are good quality riding boots I like the way these boots are constructed, Easy to buckle and unbuckle. They are attractive and keep my ankles protected. I would recomend these boots. I just bought another pair of these boots for my girlfriend. June 25, 2013

A shopper asked: How easy is it to shift a KLR 650, or other bike, with these boots on; is the toe area particularly "thick" and interferes? Apr 20, 2014

Val L: Its still winter up here in Alaska but I decided to brave the ice and slush of the driveway and get the KLR650 out to the main road. I have an after market extended shifter and more aggressive pegs but still had to lift it a notch to be able to get my toe under it with these boots. Now there is a large gap for regular shoes/boots. I'm not sure how they would work with a stock KLR shifter. (my boots are size 12) They are very stiff out of the box and shifting and using the brake is awkward at best. I did about 30 miles yesterday with constant ankle flexing up and down trying to get the boots to loosen up. The shifting and braking got better but it is going to take some time. The soles of the boots are very stiff as well and I found brake feel to be vague. I had to find some gravel and flex hard to make sure I was able to lock the rear brake because as I said brake feel with the stiff sole and ankle is kind of vague. Overall I like the boots and think they will work great for the ATV and hoep the will loosen up for the bike. Apr 22, 2014

George P: I have the MX version of this boot and they allow me to shift my KX250 without any issues. I bought the ATV version for my wife to use with her quad and she has no trouble with shifting either. The toe sections are not thick and wide like typical work boots. Apr 21, 2014

Courtney J: It's my understanding that all MX boots require a change in shifting. These boots have a nice lip that is perfect for shifting with the side of your toe. It took me about two rides to get used to it, but now it comes naturally. Apr 20, 2014

A S: I ride a KLR and have a size 13 boot. I needed to lower my pegs to get the boots to fiction properly but I think any boot would of given me the same issues. Apr 20, 2014
