A Great Riding Backpack!
This backpack was definitely a great buy for me! It is solidly built to the point where it feels bullet proof. Attention to detail was definitely given to this backpack. It is easy to use with the thickest of gloves thanks to the tabs attached to the zippers. The inside layout is very well organized for anyone, whether they are students or everyday commuters. My full face helmet can fit snuggly inside the backpack with some notebooks and a textbook in the bigger pocket. The chest straps are also a great and convenient feature as well, since it stops the backpack from sliding when riding. Lastly, it reflects light very well thanks to its reflective material and makes me very noticeable during my nightly commutes.

Although it doesnt bother me, this backpack can get heavy with a few notebooks, laptop, and a textbook. I can foresee it bothering people who tend to walk a lot with a backpack. Also, the backpack is a bit smaller than what it seems like on the website. I did not rate in durability because I've only had it for three days, but from what im seeing, its going to last for awhile, but time well tell.

Either way, I am extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap, durable, and convenient backpack!

Light weight, Great price, Good size
I have only had this a month but when I ride I don't even notice I have it on. This pack is comfy, light for its size, good price and can fit alot of stuff. I fit my helmet, jacket, gloves, 17" laptop, and still have room. Great product for a good price.

Great reflectivity
This is my second of this product. The first one started to fray after around 7 months, but to be fair I use it daily and take it everywhere I go. Love it and would buy it again.

Great but kind of small
This is a great bag but as a 6'6" guy it is a little small. But that seems to be the way most gear goes.

Great Bag
I love this bag. I got the Hi Vis. I recently went on a trip and this bag held 2 pairs of jeans, 2 shirts, a pair of shoes, some gym shorts and the rest of the little necessities.

The only problem I have found so far is that it's kind of hard to adjust the length of some on the straps.

Great product!
I have loved everything about this backpack. It works as my school bag and has all the room I need for my books and laptop and can even carry my helmet around without banging it on stuff. My only gripe is the water bottle holders on the sides are too small so no don't use them. But otherwise I would recommend it to anyone!

Hi-Viz backpack! Awesome
Has plenty of pockets and room for my commute to school and work. Has plenty of Hi-Viz green and reflective material. Seems durable and strong. Comes with two horizontal straps with clips. Has a nice cushioned laptop holder as well. Also has a way to carry a spare helmet.

Big and bold
Big enough for all gym gear, including towel. Bright enough to be seen from the next solar system. I bought this to raise visibility for my early morning commute in the dark. It sits comfortably on my back, and the waist and chest straps keep it from moving around. It has plenty of pockets, inside and out, for stashing stuff. I haven't had to test how water proof it is, but aside from that, a great buy.

Good Quality Backpack
Backpack is well constructed. It has an adequate number of pockets for my purposes. It is very lightweight. I like that it is set up to handle a water bladder so that I can have plenty of cold water for the long hot Phoenix days. There is room enough for my computer, cameras, and clothes for three day trips. The fact that it is high vis is a big plus.

Need a bright pack for night rides....
Bradley W on Mar 7, 2016
The Hi Viz backpack has great illumination both day and night. Comfortable to wear. I ride my Ducati 821 Monster to work daily (night and day hrs) and I am able to pack in my lunch, extra helmet visor, 32 oz water bottle, and some small books easily. Well made.
Roberto A on Feb 10, 2016
lots of compartments and high quality. great for bike, school or work.
Janice W on Jan 21, 2016

Rudy C on Aug 4, 2014
Good price and carries everything I need it to. Laptop sleeve is sorta snug but all together really like it.
Chris P on Apr 19, 2014
this was the only backpack that offered both a helmet compartment and a dedicated laptop compartment, it also is supposedly highly visible

Has greatest holding capacity, visibility
Thomas B on Mar 31, 2014
I have the hi-viz pack. Enough room for computer and a few clothing items (use for work if I ride in). It's a good bag but would like a little more strap length to make it easier to put on and take off. This isn't a huge factor but it I'm not a big guy (5'10 -185lbs - 44 chest) and when wearing my coat it's a bit tight. If your wider you might have a bit of trouble. I ride a Harley Davidson Softail Slim (FLS)

What is the storage capacity of the backpack? In liters preferablely
A shopper on Sep 1, 2015
*Can we get a video for this product to see the inside and how the helmet fit ?
*Can you fit a 3lt military spec hydration system ?
Fernando A on Jul 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I commute in the Chicago area and use it to store a Shoei helmet. From where I park, I basically have to walk a mile and leave my bike out all day. Hence, I don't like to leave my helmet out.

I'm very happy with this pack as I'm able to carry my helmet along with other items such as books, rain gear, and an extra technical shirt.

I'm not sure if you're talking about just a 3 liter bladder or the associated holder. If it's just the bladder it should fit without issue. However, I can't say if you are asking about the bladder along with the backpack holder. I am guessing the former as you probably are not carrying a backpack inside a backpack.

I was going to take a picture of the pack with my helmet in it, but it does not appear there is a way to upload pictures on this form.
Is there enough space for a couple of textbooks + the helmet?
Juan T on Aug 26, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Textbooks? Oh yes... After putting in a helmet you still have enough space to put as many text books you need to break your back!

It becomes a little bulky and it might not be very comfortable, but it is still way better than carrying another helmet hanging from your arm...

I'm incredibly happy with this backpack! :)

Does this backpack have any sort of strap management system so the straps aren't flapping around while I'm riding?
A shopper on Apr 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The straps are well managed. I do not notice any flapping at all. There is a little slack from the strap at the chest but again, it's not noticeable. This is a great backpack; much better than the first one I bought for more money. It is really comfortable and holds a lot. You would not be disappointed with this purchase.
I use a neoprene "sleeve", so a padded laptop compartment is nice but not necessary.
The question is, will something this size fit in the pack?
A shopper on May 14, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the Fly Illuminator will fit a 15" Laptop in it with no issues. The dimensions for the bag a 20"H x 16"W x 9"D.
What's the Hi-Viz color like? Is it closer to green or yellow?
Matthew W on Jan 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It is green. Not sure how else to describe high- viz green. Definitely not yellow.
Is there a rain covet?
A shopper on Apr 24, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The Fly Illuminator Street Backpack is not constructed with a waterproof shell, nor does it come with a rain cover.
