Firstgear Mesh Tex Gloves
Look great, durability in question
I bought these one year ago. I wear a medium glove, so I bought a medium in this glove. Fits well once on my hand, however, getting it on isn't easy. It's been a year, actually only 6 months of daily use, putting them on is not any easier. Because it's so difficult to put on an the placement of the velcro, the index finger on both gloves has worn through the material.
First gear will replace them under warranty but the rep said they have not heard of this happening to others.
Not sure if I'll keep the next pair, they seem to have a design flaw... Wrist opening too small and index fingers should be leather (to prevent shredding), I've attached photos.
Since I normally put right glove in first, the left index is shredding quicker, but both are wearing quickly.
Suggestion to First Gear: 1) Bigger opening for inserting hand, don't really need the velcro if you leave opening so small 2) index finger should be of more durable material

The airflow is amazing through these gloves
The airflow through the gloves is great. On a hot day these gloves will keep your hands cool. They run a little small so I'd go a size larger than you would usually wear.

Good but not perfect.
I bought these summer gloves to replace the Chicane Street gloves I could longer get.
Although there is good knuckle armor, the rest is pretty slight. The two issues I have is the wrist is too small for an XXL glove making them hard to get on and off. The other is the palm material is slick on the grips which causes me to grip tighter which causes fatigue in my hands.
Overall, for an inexpensive glove they will do but my search continues for a replacement the Chicanes.

This is an awesome glove. It breaks in quickly and is super comfortable. I am loving these gloves and would recommend them to anyone. They breath really well (I've worn them in ranges of 50 - 90* F and they are wonderful. Sizing is spot on. I'm usually a medium in most gloves, and a medium in these fits great.

Good glove for the price.
Perfect glove for most of the riding season.
Pros: Price! Decent air flow while riding. Reinforcement in areas needed. Dexterity - I can still attach the strap on my helmet with the gloves on. Compact, not bulky, fits into pockets easily.
Cons: The gloves have a fitted wrist that makes putting them on a little bit of work.

Palm pads misplaced
I had two issues with these gloves which caused me to return them:
1) They run small. I usually wear a Large glove, and they were short on my hand (meaning that the bottom of the glove barely covered my palm and the base of my hand).
2) Even if I had gotten the XL and the glove had fit well, I think that the palm protection pad is misplaced. It would have landed somewhere in the middle of the palm, rather than the base of the palm like I would rather have.

Bang for Buck
Glove is the most comfortable glove I've tried on. Allows full range of hand movement. Fit is very tight and a little difficult to get on/off, but once on it fits well.
Took a spill (~40 mph lowside) with these gloves. For the price I would say they held up well. Ended up with no road rash on hands and some holes/frayed parts on palm. I've never fallen in another glove so hard to compare, but I would say the area that may be lacking is in impact protection. There is only a little padding in the palm area. For $45 though these seem great. I've attached a couple photos for reference.

Sizing is very small.
Going by the size chart, I first bought Large. They were way too tight, so I exchanged them for XL (thank you, Revzilla, for the easy, fast exchange). Still too small to get on and off easily, but I needed to leave on the long trip I had planned, so I took them. They were very comfortable (once I got them on) in hot to warm weather (AL to PA in June). But the difficulty in getting them on and off was increasingly annoying, so I gave them to my wife. They seem to be real nice gloves if you get them big enough; for me that would be XXL, two sizes up from the size chart. I find that in other gloves, I am XL, one size up from the chart.
