good boots. I generally wear a 10.5 wide, after reading the reviews I ordered a size 44 (us11). they were snug,(a little tight) when i first put them on, so i ware then around the house for a few hours and they started to relax. after a couple weeks or about about 12 hours of ride time there are pretty comfortable. They do breath better then i expected them to. Haven't hit any wet weather yet. September 15, 2014
Excellent cost/benefit ratio, good product I have been using First Gear gloves for more than three years now, and I really like their products. They have excellent cost/benefit ratio, are durable and fulfill their promises. I decided to have a try at these boots. Regarding boots, I am a TCX fan. I live in Brazil, with hot, humid climate, and I need waterproof boots. The TCX are excellent in that they are comfortable, they breathe and are waterproof. I can say the same about these boots. The only problem I found was with the fit. You would better choose one size larger, I think it will be perfect. I have wide, high-arched feet, that might be the problem. They are also less flexible than the TCX, but they are very protective. I use these boots for commuting, so the size is not much of a problem for me. August 4, 2014
Excellent Boot for the Price Excellent comfort. I am going to Europe for a month and riding while I am there. I needed a comfortable waterproof boot to walk and ride in. These are definitely the boots I needed. And, at a great price. I wore them all day today, on and off the bike, and hardly knew I had boots on. Just got them, so I haven't ridden in the rain. But I had my wife spray me with the hose. First with a gentle spray. Then extremely hard (much more forceful that actual driving rain) Sprayed them for several minutes. No leaks. I am happy. At the same time,I also bought a pair of BMW boots at twice the price. But, after wearing each around the house, I took the BMW boots back. Like I said, I wanted a waterproof WALKING motorcycle boot. The Kili Hi are perfect for my needs. And, they are so comfortable. Note: On the sizing of the boots: These boots run small, from what I experienced. I initially ordered a size 9 in this boot and it was a European 42. The Tourmaster Solutions (don't recommend this boot) were 9 but European size 43. So, I had to send the First Gear size 9 back and got a size 10 (43). Revzilla was fantastic on the exchange process. Anyway, check the US sizing and the European size or call Revzilla. Man, are the Revzilla guys helpful. Overal, I think I will like this boot for the price I paid. June 1, 2014
Great looking riding boot, but very narrow fit. The Firstgear Kili Hi WP boot looks as good in person as on the website. Nice styling and protection. Unfortunately this boot runs slightly small and very narrow for a medium width. I was unable to wear them and had to return the boots. May 16, 2014
Great boot at a great price! I needed a boot that provides protection all around and doesn't look like a motocross boot. I also wanted something that has decent traction off the bike for the woods/trails. Under $150 was my price point. I looked at a few options and could not decide, so I called Revzilla. The representative (sorry, I can't recall the gentleman's name at the moment) helped me cross a few off my list and made a few suggestions. He directed me to these Firstgear Kilis and they looked perfect. How had I missed these? Full protection, great price, and they don't look too much like a space boot and not too much like a traditional biker boot. I decided on these and a few other items. Two days later, they were at my house. I wear a size 10 to 10.5 in most shoes/boots so I ordered a 10. The length is perfect but the width felt very narrow and uncomfortable at first. I wore the Kilis around the house for about 5 hours and now they feel like they were made for my feet. The work great on my bike, no slipping and very comfortable. I haven't tried them in cold or wet weather yet. At 80 degrees they were breathable and did not feel like a sauna. Lesson learned. When in doubt, call Revzilla! Thanks for reading. May 8, 2014
A bit tight, but comfortable. I bought these for daily use, as commuter boots. I live in the Portland area, so winter is wet. My feet have stayed dry. They were a bit narrow, but have formed to my feet OK over the past few months. So Dry, fairly comfortable, and inexpensive. April 24, 2014
Can't say enough good things about these boots I bought thses boots right before a 3300 mile ride from Colorado to Texas over to New Mexico down around the south end of Texas up the Gulf coast and back to Colorado. We had weather from 28* to 86* and 150 miles in the rain and these boots performed great. I only wore them a couple times around the house before we left and there was no break-in isuses at all even after a pretty long hike through Carlsbad Cavern. 2011 Concours 14 April 15, 2014
Good, with a warranty I use a dr,sholes insole and they are very comfortable and fit very well. without the insoles they are very flat soled. I am on my 3rd pair unfortunately after about 5000 miles and wearing them as shoes for a month the sole has detatched twice from the heel on both boots, these boots are completely waterproof and keep my feet warm at all times. When it is below 37 degrees and raining at speeds above 60 mph my toes start to get cold. i would reccomond these boots but would not buy them without a warranty. April 7, 2014

Shawn C: I needed an all-around boot I could ride with that could stand up to rain. I had been using combat boots for quite a long time and was displeased with how they would sometimes slip on surfaces. So far the Kili Hi boots have been absolutely wonderful. I wish they didn't look quite as "moon booty" as they do but I am glad for the protection they provide. Apr 29, 2014

ROBERT C: I was looking for a replacement for my worn out Tourmaster boots. I commute to work and I always wear good protective boots when I ride. I have always liked Firstgear products and I have been reading about the Kili Hi for a while now. I think they are just what I've been looking for. The boot went on sale for Black Friday so I jumped on it. The reviews on Revzilla are all good, it looks good, and I think I just scored a nice pair of boots. Nov 29, 2013
Felipe L: Good reviews, fare price, nice design. Nov 3, 2013
A shopper asked: Can this boot be resoled once the sole is worn down, or must I purchase a new pair of boots? Sep 11, 2014

Robert H: The Firstgear Kili boot soles are holding up well after eighteen months of nearly daily use. They replaced a set of Oxtars that were five years old and in need of re-soling, but they were also worn through in the toes, so I opted to replace them.

I understand (although I have yet to pursue this option) that a full-service shoe repair shop can glue a new sole to worn boots. I opted to protect the wear points of the leather uppers with "Tuf Toe," a plasitcized product used by baseball players and others to protect the toes of athletic shoes.

Jason A: My first answer would be no, the boot is not designed as a traditional stitched on base/sole. However it may be possible to adhere a layer of tread on it if worn.

I would compare the construction of the boot to Hi-tech boots and or lower end Bates military styled boots. For the price esp if on sale, it's relatively a wear, wear out and replace boot.

Dennis F: Your question really needs to be answered by Firstgear or a shoe repair shop. My best guess would be they cannot be resoled. The existing sole appears bonded or even molded with the upper and the entire sole, toe to heel is a single unit. Sep 12, 2014

A shopper asked: Looking at purchasing a pair of Firstgear Kili Hi WP boots, my feet measure 10 7/8" long. usually wear a size 10 1/2, occasional 10's what size of the Firstgear Kili should I order?

What's the policy on ordering 2 pair of boots (maybe a 10 and an 11), keeping 1 pair that fits and returning the other?

Thank you! Dave

Christopher S: Dave,

I ordered a pair of these last year in a size 9, obviously much smaller feet than yours. They fit me pretty well, maybe very slightly large but not by much. With a pair of average sport socks (not thin dress socks) they are good. I'm tempted to tell you to get 11s, just in case the 10s are small.

My wife ordered a couple things in different sizes, and returned the ones that didn't work out. They have great return policies! Very simple process.

Jason A: I wear a 10.5 US in almost all brands of boots (Bates. Cocorans, Danners),
sneakers are 10.5 as well (Addidas, New Balance)
I purchased a size 11 in the Kili. They are a tad bit less snug than my normal 10.5s. With a decent sock they fit pretty well.

Dennis F: I can't respond regarding Policy, but I can shed some light on the sizing. I normally wear an 8 or 81/2. I ordered size 9 US or 42 cm in metric. They fit great. Took them on a 23 day ride and were comfortable in all conditions. Hope this helps. Mar 10, 2014
