The road that runs beneath the seat, the open spaces of the surrounding prairie, the pulsing of the pistons shaking arms and body, the reflection of lightning on chrome engine, the roar of the motorcycle. All these things gave birth to the idea that became the Dainese V-Twin D Waterproof Boot. Constructed from soft cowhide, the V Twin- D-WP boot combines functional technical solutions with a high level of comfort, from the waterproof interior to the slip-resistant rubber soles. The undeniable styling of this boot announces to the world your good taste.
What seems too narrow really isn't
At first glance I thought these boots seemed cheap. But after closer inspection I realized they're made of nice, soft leather. Some would describe them as too narrow and I almost did as well. But after wearing them for a bit I found them to stretch out a tad and then felt perfect. My last pair of boots similar to these felt great initially and then were horribly loose after initial break in. I'm excited to wear these new boots more!

Not waterproof and not durable enough.
The boots run small and narrow. The styling is nice and they weight almost as much as a pair of converse sneakers but to achieve that they had to cut down on durability, the leather is very thin and soft so it gets scuffed up really easy, I had to switch to using hill shifter to save the toe. The fact that the soles are not reparable will eventually cut down the life of those boots as well. My biggest problem is that they are not waterproof as advertised. Keeping my feet dry and getting some extra room in my saddlebag by leaving a pair of rain gaiters at home without switching to star trek looking futuristic space footwear were major factors in purchasing those boots. After a four hour ride in the rain my feet where completely soaked. On top of all that those boots are not even made in Italy. Sub-par overpriced Romanian product.

Sexy Italian Waterproof
I had been riding with a pair of Sketchers motorcycle-STYLE boots for a couple years - ridiculous, I know - and they finally gave-way to the elements. My requirements for serious gear were for a waterproof boot I could wear off the machine as well. These work. In fact, they are my only pair of waterproof boots that I used around town these past couple months.
Small is to be expected from Dainese (I have a jacket as well), but the narrowness is what surprised me. I was still able to wear a thick sock, so cooler weather riding is doable with these puppies.
Like everything Italian, it would be great if they were 25-50% cheaper (i.e. $2000 espresso machine PART), but that's just how it is. Thus, relatively, these ARE a great bang for your buck.
