Dainese TRQ Race In Boots

Technology and ergonomics are combined in this Lorica racing boot to be fitted under the suit in order to both reduce the risk of getting caught on foreign objects in case of fall and for greater aerodynamics and lightness. Remarkable safety is ensured by the jointed D-Axial ankle anti-twist system with TPU casing, the shock absorption heel that reduces compression shock, by the heel and the front and rear shin-guards in TPU, and by the nylon outsole and toe.  D-Stone construction lets the fit be adapted to different types of foot. A differentiated texture sole and TPU inserts in the inner side ensure elevated grip during riding.

Nice match with the Avro suit - comfortable I bought these to go with my Avro 2 piece suit to replace my Sidi Vertigos. Because the Avro suit leg has two zippers they barely fit INSIDE my Sidi Vertigo boots and the extra leather makes the fit crammed and uncomfortable. When wearing the suit OVER the Vertigo boots, the plastic parts on the shin make them a really tight fit. Even with both suit leg zippers open, zipping the suit over the boot was difficult and I was afraid the zipper might eventually burst. The fit of the TRQ-In boots and the Avro suit is perfect. With the boot on the INSIDE of the suit, the shin armor on the suit sits over the plastic shin guard of the boot nicely, so the shins are still protected. The velcro on the shin of the boots and inside of the suit is nice and strong and holds the suit down on the boots. I like the racer look of tall boots on the outside of a race suit, but with these and the Avro suit, it's a nice clean look and still sort of sporty. I found the fit was spot on for the Dainese size chart. I wear 11 shoes. Size 44 fit me perfectly. I wear a size 45 in the Vertigos and they fit the same. I thought about selling my Vertigos, but I wear them when I wear jeans for the more comprehensive shin protection. May 16, 2013
Great Boot These boots are just what you would expect from Dainese. Great style, fit, protection, and function. The only gripe I have is that the top lip of the boot tends to rub into my shin a bit but its solved with a good pair of boot socks that go to my knees. Not very breathable but there are perforated versions you can get if that's what you are looking for. Dainese is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. April 8, 2013
Great boot for the money Boot fits really comfortably. Not sure why people complain about the top part of the boot digging into their shin because that has never happened to me. Maybe because i don't wear ankle socks, not sure why anyone would in boots. Fits nice under kevlar jeans and doesn't look all ricky racer. The only thing I wish they had was some vents to air out my feet while I ride. Also I wish I could use different suit other than dainese suits. March 13, 2013
Awesome I would highly recommend these boots. Got them for my first track day to go with a Dainese Laguna Seca Pro suit. Wore them around the house for about an hour and they felt perfect. I took them out on the track and they worked very well in most aspects: Pros: -Very comfortable -Survived a low-side. The slider on the ankle was a little bit scuffed but otherwise both the boots and me are undamaged -Reasonable price for the protection -Look awesome Cons: -The plastic toe slider seems to wear out pretty fast, but that's probably my fault for getting my toes down before my knees... Nice Boots The boots are really safe and the airflow is great but the edges on the front top are very rough and are hurting my legs. Just got the dainese long socks and hope they make the boots feel more comfortable. August 29, 2012
nice boot First things first. The elastic at t6he top of the boot is tough. It tightens, turns in and presses hard against the shin. It starts to hurt. I don't think the elastic is even needed there and I am looking at ways to modify them. The overall fit and comfort otherwise is great. I wear a 10.5 us and I had to get the euro 44. They are a tad long in the toes but fit well. It is possible that a 43 might have fit better but I didn't get the chance to try them in comparison. I also have very narrow feet so these were a tad loose side to side but feel good. They break in very quickly and are plenty comfortable to walk around in, though not nearly as comfortable as a sneaker. UNLIKE the video of the race outs there is no internal calf adjustment. I have large calves and these fit fine, someone with thin calves might have a fit issue. The boots have redundant armor that circles the foot and even with the protection are okay to move in once broken in. The touring model might be better if you plan on doing something more hardcore off the bike like hiking. One thing you can do is zip down the boots and walk around in them, they'll stay on. Incredible boot This Dainese boot will give you everything your expect from a top-end track boot and then some. It connects perfectly with my Dainese suit and I would expect it would work well with any other suit that can be worn over a boot. This boot is slim enough to be worn under fitted jeans with no problem, and make a great companion to my work commute. I have a narrow foot and this boot fits great without any gapping or ripples. They are not made for walking, so if you are doing a casual day ride with some strolling involved, I recommend wearing a touring boot instead. Otherwise, this boot is my all-time favorite under any conditions: firm support with confident protection no matter on road or track. April 17, 2012
Decent boots but just get the TRQ Pro These boots are ok, but be warned the top of the knee area has a lip on it that will dig into your shin which gets really annoying after a while. There is absolutely no adjustability on these which is a huge drawback especially for the price. I would just spend the extra 100 bucks and get the one with adjustability. Theres no airflow on these either at all, which living in AZ is not gonna cut it. They do work really nicely with the Dainese one piece suit though. I like the way they feel on the bike in regards to flex, and all around mobility on the bike. I would have exchanged them for the trq pro but i already wore them outside. No problems whatsoever with Revzilla though, they're always great November 28, 2011

Answer:
The difference between the two boots is that the Dainese TRQ Race In Boots are designed to be worn on the inside of a race suit while the Dainese TRQ Race Out Boots are designed to be worn over top, or on the outside, of a race suit. There is also a slight difference in shin protection and boot height. The Dainese TRQ Race In Boots are going to have slightly less coverage/shin protection.

Answer:
the RaceIN are smaller at the calf and are meant to be worn under pants. RaceOUT are beefier at the calf and pants are meant to be tucked inside the boot cuff.

  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
