Dainese TRQ Race In Boots

Technology and ergonomics are combined in this Lorica racing boot to be fitted under the suit in order to both reduce the risk of getting caught on foreign objects in case of fall and for greater aerodynamics and lightness. Remarkable safety is ensured by the jointed D-Axial ankle anti-twist system with TPU casing, the shock absorption heel that reduces compression shock, by the heel and the front and rear shin-guards in TPU, and by the nylon outsole and toe.  D-Stone construction lets the fit be adapted to different types of foot. A differentiated texture sole and TPU inserts in the inner side ensure elevated grip during riding.

A high quality versatile boot. Fit is spot on for me wearing a 11US/44EUR. Easy break in with good tactility. November 25, 2013
Gets the job done I like the SIDI boots, but they just don't fit my type of foot. These fit nicely and provide comfort and control; key for me riding a sport bike. Pros: Good fit, reasonable price, comfortable and functional. Cons: Takes some time to break in. November 11, 2013
Great buy for a serious boot Fantastic boot for motorcycle enthusiasts. The fit is a little tight, but that's too be expected with this type of boot. This boot is not made to be worn with heavy wool socks, but any type of riding sock or base layer type item will be fine. Great buy. October 22, 2013
Gradual break-in Boot seemed to have all the right features, I normally wear a US 9.5, so I was between sizes, 42 was tight, 43 seemed loose. I was lucky to have been in their Philly Boutique to try on the size 43 in the one higher model, Bobby recommended I go with the tighter, so ordered 42, when it came in, was very tight, thought I made a mistake, but now 3 weeks later the boot is very close to fitting perfectly, glad I toughed it out. Nice match with the Avro suit - comfortable I bought these to go with my Avro 2 piece suit to replace my Sidi Vertigos. Because the Avro suit leg has two zippers they barely fit INSIDE my Sidi Vertigo boots and the extra leather makes the fit crammed and uncomfortable. When wearing the suit OVER the Vertigo boots, the plastic parts on the shin make them a really tight fit. Even with both suit leg zippers open, zipping the suit over the boot was difficult and I was afraid the zipper might eventually burst. The fit of the TRQ-In boots and the Avro suit is perfect. With the boot on the INSIDE of the suit, the shin armor on the suit sits over the plastic shin guard of the boot nicely, so the shins are still protected. The velcro on the shin of the boots and inside of the suit is nice and strong and holds the suit down on the boots. I like the racer look of tall boots on the outside of a race suit, but with these and the Avro suit, it's a nice clean look and still sort of sporty. I found the fit was spot on for the Dainese size chart. I wear 11 shoes. Size 44 fit me perfectly. I wear a size 45 in the Vertigos and they fit the same. I thought about selling my Vertigos, but I wear them when I wear jeans for the more comprehensive shin protection. May 16, 2013
Great Boot These boots are just what you would expect from Dainese. Great style, fit, protection, and function. The only gripe I have is that the top lip of the boot tends to rub into my shin a bit but its solved with a good pair of boot socks that go to my knees. Not very breathable but there are perforated versions you can get if that's what you are looking for. Dainese is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. April 8, 2013
Great boot for the money Boot fits really comfortably. Not sure why people complain about the top part of the boot digging into their shin because that has never happened to me. Maybe because i don't wear ankle socks, not sure why anyone would in boots. Fits nice under kevlar jeans and doesn't look all ricky racer. The only thing I wish they had was some vents to air out my feet while I ride. Also I wish I could use different suit other than dainese suits. March 13, 2013
Awesome I would highly recommend these boots. Got them for my first track day to go with a Dainese Laguna Seca Pro suit. Wore them around the house for about an hour and they felt perfect. I took them out on the track and they worked very well in most aspects: Pros: -Very comfortable -Survived a low-side. The slider on the ankle was a little bit scuffed but otherwise both the boots and me are undamaged -Reasonable price for the protection -Look awesome Cons: -The plastic toe slider seems to wear out pretty fast, but that's probably my fault for getting my toes down before my knees... RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Hugo G: Wanted something I could tuck inside my riding jeans. Nov 6, 2013
Adrian C: I got these ones cause I have another three pairs of different Dainese boots, two of them "Race Out" type and one "Summer" shorty ones and I want these "Race In" just to be able to ride "hard" with the pants over the boots . Oct 22, 2013
"" ": Previously tried on in store. Purchased Cortech instead in 2 sizes from other vendors. Not happy with that product because it was too bulky to wear in even though race suit could make it work (expansion zipper). However, cuff on those boots was too small to wear outside of suit. So now I am getting these. Sep 15, 2013
Mohammed S asked: HI there guys, i am a casual rider, and i am looking for the best protection and most comfortable, specially for wearing below my jeans, and even perhaps in the future when i decide to go on a race day.
Will this shoes cover me well, looking forward for your kind reply?

Simon G: These boot will probably do the trick, I wore mine for the first time on a trip from north to south florida and they were great. I had full leathers on. The airflow was fine and kept my feet comfy with just a pair of short socks. The only negative is the elasticated tops above the shin guard, these did cut in and leave me with a "rope burn" looking mark (see other reviews ref same issue). Maybe you should wear longer socks until the elastic gives a little. Other than that, an awesome boot.
As with most boots, they feel a little "ski bootish" while walking.
I ware 10.5 US and the 44 fit great. Good luck

Duc L: I have worn my TRQ Race In boots under various pants, including jeans. With the exception of skinny jeans like my Levi's 511, the Race In fits very well. They are also not too uncomfortable to walk around in, for short distances.

I recommend wearing tall socks, as the TRQ Race In's internal bootie/gator is a bit rigid, and irritates my shins after a long track day.

Mohammed S: Hi there Duc,
Many thanks for the comfort ,
I already ordered the tall socks Oct 12, 2013
Martin J: They fit well under jeans with the versatility to use on the track. The elastic part that contacts the shin can be uncomfortable, and the insoles are trash, but otherwise they are a great boot. Oct 13, 2013

MICHAEL P: Best protection is not most comfortable. Most comfortable doesn't offer much protection. These are a great, happy medium. Wear tall socks, though, as the boot rubs. Dec 7, 2013

John B: I would not purchase these boots if you are looking for a waterproof boot. There's a lot of porosity on the front and back, and they're not designed for wet touring. This is a track performance boot. Sep 21, 2013

Noli T: TRQ boots works very well in wet conditions. The only issue I have is the squicking when walking around ,but then again it's entended for riding not walking. I'm pleased with my purchase. Sep 21, 2013

A shopper asked: What's the difference between these and the TRQ Race out boots? besides style, is there anything else? Mar 12, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The difference between the two boots is that the Dainese TRQ Race In Boots are designed to be worn on the inside of a race suit while the Dainese TRQ Race Out Boots are designed to be worn over top, or on the outside, of a race suit. There is also a slight difference in shin protection and boot height. The Dainese TRQ Race In Boots are going to have slightly less coverage/shin protection. Apr 18, 2012

LockeIND: the RaceIN are smaller at the calf and are meant to be worn under pants. RaceOUT are beefier at the calf and pants are meant to be tucked inside the boot cuff. Apr 30, 2012

Windcrush: The Race In boot goes inside the suit leg and the Race Out is worn outside the suit leg. Apr 17, 2012
