Dainese Torque RS Out D-WP Boots

Technology and aggressive design come together in this waterproof Lorica® racing boot. Featuring elevated safety levels ensured by the jointed D-Axial TPU anti-twisting system, shock absorption on the heel, inserts in steel at the sides and heels, and nylon inserts on the base of the foot and toe. Calf adjustment permits correct fit with elevated comfort, and the liner in waterproof D-WP guarantees wide versatility during on-road use under all weather conditions. Differentiated texture soles and TPU inserts on the internal side ensure elevated grip during riding.

Love at first sight! I went in to find a couple of items at the Philly store and they diddn't find the original Dainese Race Boot I wanted but they had this boot in stock. This boot fits very comfortably! It's very stylish and provides a ton of protection. You can slide it on easily and you have some adjustability near the zipper area where you can move the velcro in or out to help fit the boot around your leg. I wish it was cheaper but you get what you pay for right? January 2, 2013

Hey, I notice Gore tex is not listed in the specs. If it is not gore tex lined, what is it and what guarantees are made to the waterproof/breathable, and durability ? Thanks, Rob

Answer: 
You are correct, this book is not Gore-Tex, but it is waterproof! It just uses Dainese's proprietary technology, "D-WP." It is certainly comparable to Gore-Tex in terms of reliability and breathability, but Gore-Tex is still considered the best. For my purposes, D-WP is great. Unless you're conquering Mt. Kilimanjaro on the regular, chances are D-WP will suit you fine.

Hi, I'm keen on this boot but have read a few reviews saying that Dainese boots have a narrow foot bed.
I take a size 10.5 (2E) Asics running shoe.
N.B. the 2E means I have a slightly wider foot. Could you say if the Torque RS Out WP would probably fit? I'm thinking the 44 would suit length wise but am considering the 45, assuming it may be wider.

I'd appreciate your advice if possible.

They should fit and would definitely stretch to size. The side wall of the boots seem to offer the perfect amount of support yet are flexible. I too have a wider foot and was very surprized to fit into these. I wear a size 10.5 - 11 Nike and in Clarks shoes I wear a 9.5. The size 44 EU or 11 US fit me perfectly and after wearing them, I can feel them stretching out a bit so they are not as snug as they were when new.

I'd go with your regular size. Revzilla has an amazing return policy, and you should take advantage rather than be swimming in too large a boot (which is the last thing you want). Yeah, they fit a little narrow, but having tried them on, I think they might accommodate.

SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
