Dainese Thorax Wave Pro 4.6 5 15 15
Good protection but incompatible with smaller jackets Offers comfortable protection, but requires elbow and shoulder protection to go along with it which would mean it naturally needs those added on OR you wear it under a jacket with already built in shoulder and elbow protection like Dainese leather or textile lines. HOWEVER, my size 44 Dainese leather jacket won't come close to being able to zip up with this thorax wave pro on. This is suppose to be a base layer protection, but probably won't fit under any Size 46 and below jacket. April 12, 2014
Awsom Product Feels light once you get used to it you will not even notice you have a back protector . I am 5.7' tall. Medium size fits perfect. Only thing is you might have to detach the chest protection because then the suit is very tight bec my suit is a very snug fit August 13, 2013
I would definitely recommend In the interest of full disclosure, 80 degrees is the hottest temp i have had the opportunity to ride in with this on. I wore it under the rev'it ignition jacket. The airflow was much more than expected which is fantastic. As others have mentioned, I pray I never have to put this product to the ultimate test but if i do, I feel confident that I have taken a critical step to giving myself the best possible shot at walking away. RIDE SAFE AND RESPONSIBLY. May 20, 2013
Worth the Money I am actually surprised at how comfortable the Thorax Wave Pro is, although I have only worn it under nylon and not my tighter fitting leather jacket. Regardless, I recently took a spill (before purchase) and hit my chest plate into the bars. I got off lucky with severe bruising but I am convinced this would not have happened if wearing the TWP. Very hard but flexible body armor. Dainese seemed to have thought of everything for protection with comfort. Styling with Dainese goes without saying. I only gave it a four (out of five stars) because nothing's perfect but the TWP is worth the money and my wife was all too happy to see me walk out the door wearing it. May 20, 2013
bought this as a last minute purchase after listening to other racers I bought this last minute I usually wear just the spine protector , but decided I needed just a little more protection for my first race with WMRRA this season the fit was awesome once I zipped up the leathers this thing just molded to my body perfectly didn't feel bulky what so ever and gave me a sense of confidence I was looking for placed 3rd in both days of racing first rain race ever on the first day double podium both day April 29, 2013
Thorax Wave Pro FTW! I will never get on my motorcycle without it! Feels as if my upper body is protected 100% April 16, 2013
Complete torso protection This combination chest and back protector is exactly what I was looking for. It offers the maximum protection with complete comfort. It's nice to know that I can take off any part of the protector if I choose too (I doubt I ever will though) and I can wear it under anything that I would ride in (I never ride without a leather jacket, no matter how hot it is) and I barely know I have it on. I hope I never have to test it, but based on all the MotoGP and Superbike crashes I've seen of riders wearing Dainese, I'm confident that I'm well protected. November 11, 2012
This product appears to provide professional protection. The thorax wave pro looks to be constructed well. The fit is great, and it works well under my jacket. I can actually feel airflow even when it is worn under a perforated jacket. I hope I do not have to test it, but I am sure it will provide more protection than the standard padding in most jackets. RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
"" ": Safety. I have been using it and it is very comfortable. Oct 12, 2014
James M: I have the full-suit version of this for off road (armored shoulders and arms), and it absolutely rocks! That particular suit is a bit much for street riding, so this one should fit the bill perfectly.

Protecting the spine is a priority, but i have news for you....protecting the chest is just as vital. Your sternum is NO MATCH for the handlebars, pavement and vehicle you may slam into in a get-off. Pricey, but amazing quality and top protection.

Michael B: Looking to replace my spine protector after 5 years and always should have been racing with the chest protector as I have actually seen a track fatality due to chest injury. This is a great option. Jun 15, 2014
Giles C: I chose this item because of the excellent chest and back protection it provides. I especially like the way it covers my lower spine and tailbone. I usually wear it under my riding leathers in cool weather and barely notice it is there while riding. It is a little bulky and the "Robocop" look does draw attention when I take it off in restaurants. That's ok, just a price you pay for the protection. Jun 8, 2014
James A: extra protection during race crashes Apr 4, 2014

Jonathan G: I'm 6 foot tall at 175. Wear a 44/US size jacket. Medium works for me. It's really adjustable, you just want to make sure the actual back protector is not too long. I wore this for the first time under a Daniese aero evo 1 piece and was surprised how comfortable and breathable it was. Great buy. May 29, 2014

Allan S: I bought this protector in late 2012, I'm 5 '11'' and 159 lbs.
At that time only the small size was available... bought it anyway and suited me perfectly, yet it still has several adjustments. Also at that time, I bougth a Dainese Avro Two Piece Suit Size 50.
