Would recommend with caveats
I have used this jacket for nearly 1,000 miles. The bulk of these miles were on a several day trip with occasional rain and temperatures in the 50s and 60s. It held up very well, and I am satisfied with my purchase.

Pros:
* It's very versatile. I've worn it in rainy, cold, and warm weather, and it's always done well. The waterproof liner is the source of the versatility: have it in, and you can ride in the wet and cold; have it out, and you can ride in warm weather.
* It's stylish.
* It offers a lot of protection (although I find the chest protectors uncomfortable, so take them out for touring.
* It'll zip into Dainese pants.

Cons:
* The material of the liner irritates raw skin, so you need to wear long sleeve shirt or the like -- a turtleneck would be ideal, but I don't own any of those.
* I wish the zippers were a little bigger. They can be tough to grab with heavy gloves.
* I wish it had an internal pocket in the liner. I'd like to stash my phone there. Instead, I put it in the chest protector pocket, which is not ideal, but...
* It's not very comfortable with the chest protectors.

So I recommend the jacket, but not whole-heartedly. I'd feel differently if it were a little cheaper. The price isn't terrible; I just expected a few more refinements at the price point.

Love this multi season Jacket
As I was shopping for a great multi season jacket I looked at every review and every option under the sun....just ask my wife, she was sick of hearing ...hey this is Anthony from Revzilla.com.... but I eventually decided on the super speed D-dry and I have put it through its paces the last 3 months. Its got a great understated look. I ride year round if possible and I received this jacket in February and with a decent base layer I was commuting with this jacket in 30 degree temps with the liner in. I found with the liner I am good from 30-70 degrees and without liner its great up to about 90...but over 90 degrees not much is comfortable. I have ran into some light rain and the D-dry liner definitely did keep me dry. I'm 6' 175lb, I ordered the 50 but had to return it as the sleeves were too short and it was overly snug, I exchanged for a 54 and it works great when I have the liner in and a base layer but without the liner and only a t-shirt is a little loose. would recommend going with a 52. But the returns process was flawless!!

I love this jacket.
I've ridden with this jacket for a few months now, beginning from late winter into spring (i ordered it in January). I've always been a real fan of the aesthetics that Dainese has, always sharp And I don't see this jacket going out of fashion.

The fit is pretty snug with my size 48. I'm about 160lbs, and about 5'9. I wish it were a little longer. In full crouch It rides up in the back quite a bit even though I'm not particularly tall i think this is typical with most Dainese jackets. Thus i ordered the jacket extension and I have no complaints at all now :)

the armor is spot on, i like the way it rests on my shoulders and forearms. Without the liner it breathes very well, and I'm anxious to see how it will flow in hot weather. I live in OK so I'll get that chance.

Overall a great jacket, i feel safe, Wish it came with a backprotector though. Looks slick and with the d-dry liner it makes it a pretty good 3 season jacket.

Excellent Jacket for Very Warm Weather
The Dianese Superspeed D-Dry jacket is a great jacket for those times when it's too hot to wear leather. I live in the Deep South, about 150 miles from the Gulf, where we don't get a sea breeze, and where an average summer afternoon is in the middle 90s with heat indices over 100. While no jacket is comfortable in this weather (even a t-shirt isn't comfortable in this weather), with the D-Dry Liner removed, the Superspeed flows enough air that it is only slightly warmer than wearing no jacket at all. You will notice the jacket at extended stop lights, especially if the sun is shining. With the D-Dry liner, the jacket has proven to be completely waterproof, even in torrential downpours. (Unfortunately, the Super Speed pants are not as waterproof.) When worn, the D-Dry liner, does block the airflow, and with this liner in, the jacket becomes better suited to cooler weather. So with the liner out, this is a great jacket for hot climates. With the liner installed, this an excellent jacket for cool, wet spring or fall days. The liner is thin and takes up very little space, so it can be packed away and pulled out only when needed, making this jacket unusually versatile. It is not a 4-season jacket, and in winter, you will want something more insulated. Sizing runs true to indicated. While I wear a 42 suit jacket (I'm 5' 9"/165-170 pounds) I tend to wear a size 54 motorcycle jacket unless I want a very tight race fit. The size 52 would be a bit constraining as I tend to wear this jacket over a shirt. So if you want a little room to wear some clothes underneath, do as I did and go up one size. If you like your jacket race-fit tight, then this is exactly true to size, which is how Dianese typically sizes their gear.

Awesome but a bit on the expensive side
When I was buying this jacked, I was thinking with my heart and not my brain. This jacket is awesome. It's a mesh jacket, so it's great in the heat. The liner that it comes with is sweet too. It's some sort of a fabric/rubber/vinyl. It is waterproof and keeps you warm on cooler days or nights. I bought the jacket in the Revzilla store, so I got to try it on. I fell in love with it. That brings me to the negative. It's simply way too much for what it is. That's the only reason it's 4 stars. The only nitpick I have with it, is that the zipper is on the "wrong" side. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably still buy it.

Very Interesting Jacket
First of all I have to thank the care and safety of Revzilla.

They were concerned with delivery, in a way I've never seen before!

About the product, I weigh 84 kg and I'm 1.80 m tall. I ordered a jacket number 50, maybe 52 had been better. However they say that tight is safer ...

I am very pleased with my purchase, but not to be leather, could be a bit cheaper, I think the very expensive value for D-Dry lining.

Who wants an exclusive, lightweight and ventilated jacket is a great option.

Great style, minor issues
This is easily my best looking jacket, I really like the style of it and having it be a perfect match for my Drake Super Air pants is a nice bonus. The airflow is great, I have had a couple all-mesh jackets and this is pretty close to those will being more protective.

That said there are a couple things I don't love. The D-Dry liner doesn't zip in at all and just has a few snaps around the shoulders, hips, and wrists to keep it in place. I usually prefer to have liners zip in around the chest or close to it. I find that I usually don't bother with the snaps and just wear the liner like another layer. Lastly I'd like the shoulder armor to move a little less in the jacket. This is my first Dainese textile so maybe this is normal but my leather Dainese should armor feels a little more secure in the jacket.

All that said, this is my primary warm weather jacket and having it also be the best looking is great too.

Dream Jacket
Ive had many different jackets over the years but this one far exceeds any one i had before. The only reason i didn't give protection 5 bars is because you have to buy the back protector insert separately. I mean for 400+ dollars you would expect something. other than that this jacket is a dream. you forget its on most of the time. the D-Dry liner is super light and easy to carry around. favorite thing is the cuffs are buttons not zippers that break or velcro that fades over time. great feeling and looking jacket.

Great Three Season Jacket
I've had this jacket for about 3k miles mostly commuting. I'm about 5'10" 155lbs and wear a size 48 euro which fits snug. The jacket looks awesome and is super comfortable except for the waterproof liner which tends to irritate my neck if fully closed. This is a three season jacket dependent on your temperature tolerances. It vents awesome, almost a little too awesome once the temperature starts to drop. For my commutes to work I have been adding a few layers under the jacket for when the temperature dips down into the 40's and its comfortable. As for protection the armor is solid and stays right where its supposed to. I have added a Klim D30 Viper back protector for extra protection and it fits perfectly. Another nice feature is the jacket has a 360 zipper that pairs with Dainese pants. I have the Drake Air pants and they zip together securely adding for a little extra protection. My only real gripe with the jacket is that the aluminum shoulder inserts get dented and scratched super easy. All together this is a great jacket and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind paying the premium price.

I was looking for a riding jacket that could be used in a wide temperature range. Here in New England the day can start COLD and then warm up rather quickly. The sun drops and you are freezing again. The layering system makes sense. I have a leather but have been wanting a full featured textile sport jacket. This fits the bill.

I wanted a jacket that could serve as my summer replacement to the Avro C2 . Final decision was a tough call between the Super Speed and the Air Frazer. With sudden and unpredictable showers and thunderstorms being common in Alabama, went with the D-Dry version of the jacket (intend to store the liner in my luggage and pull out when needed). Reviews on how well it flows air and its suitability to SE U.S. summers will follow later. In the interim, I'm hoping its all it is promised to be.

I have a Super Speed Textile, but I wanted something with a waterproof liner. So, selling my Super Speed, and got this D-Dry instead. And, oh, with the back protector and chest protector, I'm moving up in size from 50 to 52 (with chest and back protector, the 50 was a bit tight).

I love Revzilla's review of this jacket. I also love my original Super Speed Textile jacket. Looking at the answers to Revzilla's question, "Why did you choose this," I see that customers chose this because they liked their original Super Speeds, but wanted the versatility of this revamped jacket.

Couldn't Dainese throw us a bone and create a D-Dry liner that would work in the original Super Speed Textile? Unfortunately, my questions is probably rhetorical. Nonetheless, I'd love to hear from a Gear Geek on this. Better yet, Revzilla, please go to bat for us and suggest this to Dainese.

How does this jacket hold up in hot weather without the d-dry liner? I am looking for something that will still breathe alot in those 100 degree fahrenheit (37 degree celsius) days.

BEST ANSWER: Air flow is very good actually is great. But standing on a traffic light in florida weather is hell. But i guess that is the same with every jacket you use. I love this jacket no cons for me.
?M between this jacket and air frazer what you recommend? I ride in summer time and riding z800

BEST ANSWER: Super speed D-dry is the exact same jacket as the super speed. The only difference that the d-dry has a removable inner liner that is water proof. I commute to work with my bike and always stick the liner in my backpack just in case I hit rain or it's a little cold. Besides. Not to mention that this jacket looks way cooler.
Which pants go well with these? Ideally mesh with a D-Dry liner too.

BEST ANSWER: I have the matching pants.
Only gripe is that they are not waterproof
I am 6'1 and am looking at the size 50 because all of the other measurements fit me except height. Will it be too short? Is there much difference in length between the 50 and the 52? I want it to be able to zip to my dainese pants, and it won't if the jacket is too short

BEST ANSWER: Hello, actually i bought th size 50 and it fits just right. Im 5'11 and 170 lbs. The size 50 fits snug and is short just like a motorcycle jacket. If you want tocwear something underneath the jacket go for the 52. I beleive it depends of what you want.
I'm 5'11" and I picked up the size 50 jacket. Is it normal for the back of the jacket to ride up past the back waist of my jeans? I tried the size 52 but it's a little baggy.

BEST ANSWER: I'm 5'10 and bought a size 50. It seems fine to me but you may have a longer torso than I. There is also a jacket extender type thing that zips to the bottom. It's on the site somewhere
I have a SuperSpeed Tex, the summer vented jacket with the windproof liner. Is there any difference between the outer of my jacket and the outer of this one? Is it just the fact that this has a D-Dry waterproof liner inside which makes it different? Or is the material of the outer shell on this one thicker/warmer than the original SuperSpeed Tex summer vented jacket?

BEST ANSWER: The only diference will be the better d-dry liner and that it no longer has the super speed graphics. Other than that is the same. Pretty hot to use in summer no matter what
