Great moto jacket
I have the Dainese air flux perforated jacket and pants. Needed something more robust for fall, early spring and winter. Did heaps of research and decided on the Razon. Major issues deciding on the size. I'm 6' 1", 180 lbs and couldn't decide between 56 and 54. Wore the 56 around the house and it seemed a big. After reading the reviews went with 54. It's awesome. Stylish, protective and warm plus goes with my bike.

Great cool weather jacket.
I did not purchase from Revzilla, since I happened to see one in person, but love the website and the company's agenda. I feel that a review of this jacket is in order.

It's expensive, BUT:

It's an impressive cool/cold weather jacket. The liner is SUPER WARM and TOASTY! I've worn it in the 40s and 50s, with just a T-shirt on and the liner. It's incredibly warm and plush and super comfy. I feel like I'm wrapped in a nice duvet!

Looks great, the leather is TOP NOTCH. The attention to detail is typical Dainese.
Fit is good, but it's not a race-cut, it's a little more of a casual yet tight italian cut.
The sleeves are a little short for me.
I'm 5'10, 167lbs, with a trim/athletic build. I'm a size 39-40 US jacket and got a size 50 Dainese. It could be tighter in the body, but with the liner in, the 50 is perfect.
Without the liner there is extra room even with the G2 back protector, and I could go down to a size 48, but the sleeve length would suffer.

Overall, this is an incredible piece. It's beautiful, fits well, is super comfy and warm, and would recommend it. Sleeves could have an extra 1/2"....but Dainese makes gauntlet gloves to cover/protect/armor your wristbone.

Not sure how it is in hot weather, or with vents open, as it hasn't been warm enough yet.
Get it, it looks really really great, and is comfy with the back protector in as well.

Stylish jacket for Naked riders
Ordered this jacket when I took delivery of my Diavel Dark. Been using it for four months now up in Pacific Northwest. Range of weathers, range of temps (65's - 30's). Great looking jacket. Well made. Thermal liner a plus. Good quality leather means its a comfortable fit. The addition of a larger inside pocket was a nice touch. Stick my iPad in there for meetings. I'm 5'10", 38" chest and the Size 48 fit me perfectly.

In sum a stylish well made jacket. Particularly well matched to Naked bikes.

Amazing
OK, this is a premature 1 day review, and may be I am blown away by the size and the fit - but this jacket rocks! Comfortable to ride in, close fit, I feel secure while riding.

1 The shade is more subdued than the flashy shiny picture shown on this page. The jacket is more sober, watch the video to get a better feel.
2. For New England weather you may want to account for the inner liner when you buy. I went up a size (e.g. i can fit in 52, but went 54 due to the inner lining). The lining keeps the jacket well formed and secure.
3. Didnt feel the need to break it in. Feels good as is.

I havent added a g2 pad yet but there is enough space to add suitable protection if you need it. Will add more in a couple of months.

I wasn't sure I would like this jacket but when I got it I was very impressed. The quality, texture and thickness of the leather is excellent. It fits great and has very good range of motion. I receive compliments on its looks often too.

Style and functionality
Initially I bought a different brand jacket that promised to do all seasons. (I live in GA so it is actually about 3.5 seasons, 10 months). This particular jacket is exactly what I have been looking for in terms of absolute functionality while delivering class in it's style subtlety. I opted for the non-perforated as I also bought a Dainese mesh for the GA summers.

My only complaint is the neck opening could be a bit less expansive or have an additional adjustment.

I am 5'11" 180 with a 41" chest, athletic build (lift weights). This Dainese Razon size 52 fits just right. A little snug with the quilted lining but absolutely comfortable. i would suggest if you have been hitting the Ding Dongs instead of the gym, the jacket will be tight around the middle.

Beautiful product, easy ordering, fast shipping - perfect!

Perforated version is the perfect jacket
I bought the perforated version three weeks ago. I was concerned that the perforated version wouldn't look as good, but the perforation looks good and doesn't detract from the looks. Only the body area of the jacket is perforated, not the arms, which makes it look basically like any other leather jacket. I'm 6' and 195 pounds, 34 inch waist. I usually wear a size 42 (US) long suit coat. The size 52 EUR (42 US) fits me perfect. I wanted the jacket to be "close" fitting but not "tight" and not constrictive, and that's what I got. I wear this jacket on my daily 50 mile commute. After 2-3 days the leather softened and stretched just a tiny bit to conform to my body. It fits me awesome, looks awesome, and is very comfortable. The armour is barely noticeable with the jacket on and doesn't make you look like a geek. I ride an R1200RT (big windscreen) and the weather has ranged from 50 to 80 degrees the past couple of weeks and this jacket has been spot on comfortable. Because of the windscreen, I'm very glad I got the perforated version because the air flow is really knocked back but there is still good airflow. I took this jack for a ride on my enduro bike and it was like wearing a mesh jacket -- very different experience with lots of airflow.

Just what I wanted
I had been looking for a nice leather riding jacket for quite some time. I have several other jackets and riding suits but was missing a good quality leather. My riding style varies depending on the bike. I have both sport and dual sport bikes so when buying this jacket I was worried the arms would have too much pre-curve for standard riding positions. No issues with this jacket.

Unfortunately my jacket arrived when the temps where finally down below freezing so I didn't get to try it out immediately. Regardless fit was spot on. I am a 42s in a suit and the 54 fit perfect if not a little loose without the liner. The arms are a bit snug but I like them that way, they will break in after a few hundred miles. The waste and torso are perfect. With the liner and a t-shirt the jacket is very mobile. The look is awesome, just the way I like it. Thick black leather with subtle logos. If you know motorcycles you will know it is a Dianese but if not you might think it was just a really nice leather. No flashy graphics or too many buttons or zippers. There is little ventilation so I expect in the summer that this jacket may not get much mid day ride time.

Yesterday the temps were in the 40s so I decided to go out for a ride. This jacket performed excellent. At highway speeds I was very comfortable both temp wise and fit wise in a standard riding position. I loved the feel of the jacket and I was kept warm the whole time with no cold air creeping in at all. Again, in summertime I would expect this jacket to be a little heavy even with the liner out.

All in all, I knew I was getting top quality leather when I ordered and the Dianese team didn't let me down. The price is up there but you get what you pay for . Save some Christmas money, skip the cheap leather and go for this jacket!!

Great Jacket
If you like the look of this jacket online, you'll love it when you see it. I've ridden in this jacket during your typical New England winter for about four months and have found the jacket to be plenty warm enough with the lining. I bought the size 58 (I'm 5' 11", 210 LBS, 42" chest, 18" neck#. The armor fits well and is barely noticeable. I'm not a big fan of the material used on the inner arms and would prefer full leather since breathability isn't important to me for the time of year that I'm using this jacket. The collar could button a bit tighter as well #I have a fairly large neck, so I wouldn't expect such a loose fitting collar#. But these are minor issues - this is an awesome jacket, both in appearance and functionality. Lastly, this is going to sound strange, but this is the best smelling jacket I've ever encountered...not sure what it is, but it smells great, IMO.

A high quality, armored leather jacket with style. Excellent choice!
Well made with high quality leather that's thick but comfortable. I like that the logos are subtly sewn in black but wish there were some reflective strips on the sleeves. (For that reason I really wanted a Dainese Rapier jacket in black but they are out of stock and Revzilla wasn't expecting to get more for at least 4 months.) The tight fitting style makes the sizing very important. I'm 5'10", 170 lbs, and wear 34x32 pants. The size 52 is perfect. With the armor installed, I can wear a long sleeve tee with a fitted sweatshirt and still zip it up without struggling. Even without the liner it's not too big when I just wear a tee shirt.

Nice thick leather. Fit was right on. Good armor, but had to purchase a back protector. With removable liner in, i feel zero windchill with just a t-shirt or button up shirt underneath. Line goes in and out very easy. Overall, an awesome jacket!

Is the thermal liner full-sleeve or just a vest?
A shopper on Jun 5, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The liner is full sleeves. The liner sleeves are also secured by straps to the inside of the jacket's sleeves. Very comfortable feel. It is not down, but more high quality foam type lining. Doesnt feel cheap or "static-y"
Does this jacket come with a zipper for a certain brand of pants to connect? In other words, can you make a two-piece track suit out of this? If not, are there any specific pants made or closely made to match with this? Thanks!
Victor . on May 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The jacket has a zipper that will zip to my Dianese leather pants. Can't remember which ones I have, but they're the perforated ones from a couple years back. So yes, a two piece suit this jacket makes.
I am a big fan of Daineses products. This is my first leather jacket for riding, last summer I bought "Dainese Air Tourer S-ST Jacket" with size 52 which fits perfectly. Shall I order same size here? Hens, I prefer the snug fit.
Mohamed W on Oct 11, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I used the same logic when purchasing this jacket. I had two other size 54 Dianese jackets at the time. One summer mesh and one non armored leather. I went with the size 54 again and While the torso fits well the sleeves were a tad short. I blame this on my longer arms but it would be nice if Dianese had a tall option. You should be safe with the 52.
I have a 40" chest and according to the video review, a size 50 should fit me just right. The only thing is that i also want to get the back protector, should I get one size larger?
Juan T on Sep 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Juan:

It depends on where you live and how tight you want the jacket. I am 5'10", 170 lbs, relatively small framed, and wear a 40" or 42" jacket and 34" jeans comfortably. I bought a 52. With the liner in, it's very snug even if I'm just wearing a t-shirt. With the liner out and the back protector in, I can wear a thin long sleeve shirt comfortably. It's too tight with a sweatshirt even with the liner out.

I only zip it when riding. As soon as I'm off the bike, it needs to be unzipped. Like any leather, as it's breaking in it's getting more flexible but it'll always be very snug.

Since I live in Michigan where it's cool most of the riding season, I wish I would have gotten a 54 to wear warmer layers underneath.

It looks great, feels great, and is clearly a high quality jacket. You'll love it!
Is there any internal pockets?
A shopper on Feb 16, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The Razon has two internal chest pockets - one on the removable liner and and one on the mesh of the jacket itself. Please note, if you remove the detachable layer you will only have one internal pocket to use.
How thick is the leather on this jacket?
A C on Jun 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is a heavy jacket. It is twice the weight of my Dainese Mesh Jacket with the same protection. In Southern California, I find this jacket too warm for summer rides, but great in Fall, Winter and Spring. Quality of construction is typical Dainese .... spectacular.
My intention is to wear this jacket all-year round. Up to which temperature will the Razon be comfortable?
A shopper on Mar 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It's thick cowhide.... Most likely unbearable in the summer.... I only wear mine late fall to early spring.
How thick is the leather in this jacket?
A shopper on Apr 15, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The Dainese Razon Leather Jacket is 1.1 - 1.4 grade! This will provide a serious amount of protection and abrasion resistance.
Will this jacket be OK in more aggressive riding positions? I ride a 2008 ZX6R, will the back of the jacket stretch enough? I'm looking for a three season jacket, that can be worn off bike also, this is the closest I've found.
A shopper on Sep 19, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The Dainese Razon Leather Jacket offers a more relaxed fit, and is more adapted to a touring/upright riding position. Products like the Dainese Avro, or Racing should be more adapted for an aggressive riding position.
What size should I take for the Dainese Razor Leather Jacket?
I tried Alpinestars GP Plus Leather Jacket size 52 and it was good on me with its sleeves length and the actual jacket length, but I don't like the actual quality of Alpinestars. (http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-gp-plus-perforated-leather-jacket#size_chart_tab)
A shopper on Sep 13, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Take a size 52. Most European makers sizing is about the same. For a muscular guy, try on more jackets.
