Stylish jacket for Naked riders Ordered this jacket when I took delivery of my Diavel Dark. Been using it for four months now up in Pacific Northwest. Range of weathers, range of temps (65's - 30's). Great looking jacket. Well made. Thermal liner a plus. Good quality leather means its a comfortable fit. The addition of a larger inside pocket was a nice touch. Stick my iPad in there for meetings. I'm 5'10", 38" chest and the Size 48 fit me perfectly. In sum a stylish well made jacket. Particularly well matched to Naked bikes. November 27, 2013
Perforated version is the perfect jacket I bought the perforated version three weeks ago. I was concerned that the perforated version wouldn't look as good, but the perforation looks good and doesn't detract from the looks. Only the body area of the jacket is perforated, not the arms, which makes it look basically like any other leather jacket. I'm 6' and 195 pounds, 34 inch waist. I usually wear a size 42 (US) long suit coat. The size 52 EUR (42 US) fits me perfect. I wanted the jacket to be "close" fitting but not "tight" and not constrictive, and that's what I got. I wear this jacket on my daily 50 mile commute. After 2-3 days the leather softened and stretched just a tiny bit to conform to my body. It fits me awesome, looks awesome, and is very comfortable. The armour is barely noticeable with the jacket on and doesn't make you look like a geek. I ride an R1200RT (big windscreen) and the weather has ranged from 50 to 80 degrees the past couple of weeks and this jacket has been spot on comfortable. Because of the windscreen, I'm very glad I got the perforated version because the air flow is really knocked back but there is still good airflow. I took this jack for a ride on my enduro bike and it was like wearing a mesh jacket -- very different experience with lots of airflow. October 4, 2013
Good jacket for what it is. This jacket is more aesthetic than protective. While the leather is durable, the jacket itself does not come with a back protector. This jacket severely lacks ventilation so the cooler the weather the better. The jacket does look really good though. I get endless compliments about the styling. September 16, 2013
Quality product. Fantastic product in every respect except the collar it way too large in terms of fit not style. For such a well taylored slim fit jacket, the collar is too large in diameter. This is the only reason i am returning it. June 3, 2013
Amazing OK, this is a premature 1 day review, and may be I am blown away by the size and the fit - but this jacket rocks! Comfortable to ride in, close fit, I feel secure while riding. 1 The shade is more subdued than the flashy shiny picture shown on this page. The jacket is more sober, watch the video to get a better feel. 2. For New England weather you may want to account for the inner liner when you buy. I went up a size (e.g. i can fit in 52, but went 54 due to the inner lining). The lining keeps the jacket well formed and secure. 3. Didnt feel the need to break it in. Feels good as is. I havent added a g2 pad yet but there is enough space to add suitable protection if you need it. Will add more in a couple of months. May 22, 2013
Great feel and style Great quality leather, great craftsmanship, and sleek, simple design that catches the eye. It's quite warm and does vent decent with the vents open. Overall a great buy for me. April 29, 2013
great jacket! I wasn't sure I would like this jacket but when I got it I was very impressed. The quality, texture and thickness of the leather is excellent. It fits great and has very good range of motion. I receive compliments on its looks often too. April 8, 2013
Perfect I own a lot of jackets but this is the one i reach for the most. It's super stylish, very very comfortable and offers a good protection (with a back protector that is not included) I'm a tall guy at 6'6", weigh about 245-250 and size 60 is a perfect fit in every Dainese jacket. (i own the Alien as well) Too bad i don't have the perforated version as it wasn't available at the time i was buying, i'd love to wear this jacket all the time on and off the bike, (for the really hot days i reach for the Rev'it Tarmac, which is also top notch) Overall, if you can justify the price, you will not be disappointed, i promise you that April 4, 2013

A shopper asked: Is the thermal liner full-sleeve or just a vest? Jun 5, 2012

PiedPiper: The liner is full sleeves. The liner sleeves are also secured by straps to the inside of the jacket's sleeves. Very comfortable feel. It is not down, but more high quality foam type lining. Doesnt feel cheap or "static-y" May 22, 2013

1dainesefan: Depends on the jacket. On the Dainese Skelter, it's a full liner with sleeves. The insulation is very plush and warm. Jun 5, 2012

Mohamed W asked: I am a big fan of Daineses products. This is my first leather jacket for riding, last summer I bought "Dainese Air Tourer S-ST Jacket" with size 52 which fits perfectly. Shall I order same size here? Hens, I prefer the snug fit. Oct 11, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Pushkar P: I tried a couple of Dianese jackets before settling on the Razon. The sizing seems to be the same across jackets so if you are happy with 52 on the Air Tourer, you should get the same on Razon.

If you live in cold weather as I do, I needed to wear layer under the base lining, so ended up buying a size up (54). If you live in a colder area, you may want to consider a size up to accommodate layers.

Matt R: I used the same logic when purchasing this jacket. I had two other size 54 Dianese jackets at the time. One summer mesh and one non armored leather. I went with the size 54 again and While the torso fits well the sleeves were a tad short. I blame this on my longer arms but it would be nice if Dianese had a tall option. You should be safe with the 52. Oct 14, 2013

Charles W: I have several Dainese jackets, and love them all. With the jackets without a removable thermal liner, I wear a size 50. With my Razon with thermal liner, I had to go up to a 52 to compensate for the additional bulk of the liner, which, by the way, is incredibly warm. Oct 14, 2013

Donald U: I bought the Razon in a size 50 and the Air Textile in a 50 too. Sizing was exactly the same in both so I would go for the same size. Oct 14, 2013

Juan T asked: I have a 40" chest and according to the video review, a size 50 should fit me just right. The only thing is that i also want to get the back protector, should I get one size larger? Sep 18, 2013

robert d: Juan:

It depends on where you live and how tight you want the jacket. I am 5'10", 170 lbs, relatively small framed, and wear a 40" or 42" jacket and 34" jeans comfortably. I bought a 52. With the liner in, it's very snug even if I'm just wearing a t-shirt. With the liner out and the back protector in, I can wear a thin long sleeve shirt comfortably. It's too tight with a sweatshirt even with the liner out.

I only zip it when riding. As soon as I'm off the bike, it needs to be unzipped. Like any leather, as it's breaking in it's getting more flexible but it'll always be very snug.

Since I live in Michigan where it's cool most of the riding season, I wish I would have gotten a 54 to wear warmer layers underneath.

It looks great, feels great, and is clearly a high quality jacket. You'll love it!

Patricia H: I ordered a 54 (my true size) with intentions of installing a Forcefield Backpad insert and the jacket fits fine with the liner out. I have worn it with the liner in too and with a heavy long-sleeve shirt underneath, but the fit is a bit tight (not too restrictive). Although this may be an issue for some, I found that it helped keep the warmth in during the colder months. One thing to keep in mind is that the sleeves are longer on a size up. Overall with a 40" chest you are almost right in the middle of a size 50 and a size 52, which means you may fit equally well in either, maybe better in a 52 especially with a backpad. Just remember if it doesn't fit just send it back and make the appropriate size change. (PS. Though my profile says Patricia, I am a male. I only used that name because the charge was made on her card and I just gave her cash.) Sep 18, 2013

Larry R: I was concerned about the same thing but I bought this jacket at the showroom in Philly. I worked with Kat to size the jacket and asked the same thing. She showed me that Dainese thought of this and there is enough room in the back to install a back protector without having to change sizes.

I hope that answered your question and the pictures do not do it any justice.

A shopper asked: Is there any internal pockets? Feb 16, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The Razon has two internal chest pockets - one on the removable liner and and one on the mesh of the jacket itself. Please note, if you remove the detachable layer you will only have one internal pocket to use. Feb 18, 2013
Reply to RevZilla Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Nemu35: There is one internal pocket on the left side, standard size for an internal pocket. The nice thing also is the liner has it's own internal pocket also. Not just a slit over the jacket internal pocket. Apr 29, 2013

A shopper asked: Will this jacket be OK in more aggressive riding positions? I ride a 2008 ZX6R, will the back of the jacket stretch enough? I'm looking for a three season jacket, that can be worn off bike also, this is the closest I've found. Sep 19, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The Dainese Razon Leather Jacket offers a more relaxed fit, and is more adapted to a touring/upright riding position. Products like the Dainese Avro, or Racing should be more adapted for an aggressive riding position. Sep 20, 2012

A shopper asked: What size should I take for the Dainese Razor Leather Jacket?
I tried Alpinestars GP Plus Leather Jacket size 52 and it was good on me with its sleeves length and the actual jacket length, but I don't like the actual quality of Alpinestars. (http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-gp-plus-perforated-leather-jacket#size_chart_tab)
