Dainese Portland 2 Textile Jacket
I bought this jacket on a whim since it was on clearance. It is my first Dainese product and after owning it, won't be my last.
I am 5'-11" and about 165 lbs, and normally a size 50 in Dainese fits me perfectly. Since on clearance, 50 was sold out so I bought a 52, and I am actually glad I did. The size larger still fits snug with no movement of the armor, but it also allows me to wear a sweatshirt or layers under it. I have ridden with this jacket so far in temps between 45 and 75 degrees (F). With a sweatshirt underneath at 45 degrees, I was perfectly comfortable for about a 45 minute ride, and could have gone longer. At 75 with just a tee shirt; also comfortable. Air flow is good for as little venting as there is. I have not ridden with it in higher temperatures yet, but I am thinking it will do just fine, though I could see wanting a little more ventilation if it were over 100 degrees.
Quality is what you would expect from Dainese, top notch. Price is a little high when compared to other brands, but thats pretty much normal, and if you're considering a Dainese jacket, you probably already know that. For a Dainese jacket though, you get good protection for not too much money. Its especially nice that it comes with the back protector (why I went with this one over the Shotgun).
Bottom line is, I love this jacket, and would buy it again.

Product quality is one of the best I have purchaced.
Fit and finish is amazing. Quality jacket with a great balance between airflow and staying warm when temps chill a bit. Sizing chart was accurate for me. Highly recommended.

I've put about 1000 miles on this jacket at the time of my review. It has been comfortable up to 85 degree weather and as low as 60 degree weather without extra layers. I've taken it out in 90 degree+ weather but let's be honest, it's hard to be comfortable at that temperature anyway. The air flow through the underarm and rib-cage is good to keep you cool and dry while moving. Sometimes I unzip the front zipper a little bit to let more air in if it's a really hot day. I went out for a ride with a friend last week. I wore this jacket, he wore a t-shirt. It was 85-90 degrees. We arrived at our venue 6 miles away and he was visibly sweaty. I was dry.
I feel like the price is good for this item because it has a style that is hard to match. Also it comes with that included back protector. If I could make any suggestions to Dainese it would be to maybe add an option to pull more air into the chest area. Also add a pocket for an optional chest protector on a jacket this style. I would generally order a 48 european but I ordered a 50 after watching the video review. I'm glad I did, a 48 would have been a little small. With the 50 I will be able to add a layer for autumn.
Great jacket. I would buy again.

Great Fit and Breathability
I am 6'1, 190 lbs, and a 42 in chest measurement. The 56 Portland 2 fits great. It definitely has a European cut to it so it fits more snugly to your torso. If you really enjoy your brewed beverages, you may want to size up or look elsewhere. Typical Dainese quality and the jacket ventilates well. Works great for anything greater than 60 degrees F.

Turning heads with style instead of exhaust noise.
This was my first Dainese product, and I pretty much only buy Dainese. The jacket fits really well and is comfortable. The balance between ventilation and protection is also perfect. It's just what I needed for riding in Hawaii in everything but the hottest days (have a Dainese Shotgun jacket for that).
The armor at the forearms, shoulders, and back all stays in place so I don't have to worry about it sliding around and not being there in case I ever need it. The back protector, as others have mentioned, was a big selling point for me and I can transfer it between jackets.
My only gripe is a small one and it's with the sleeve cuffs. They're too wide to fit under a glove gauntlet and they're too narrow to really fit over without causing a bit of bunching-up in the sleeve. This is just an aesthetic complaint though, everything else about the jacket is bang on. I highly recommend it to anyone living in warmer climes wanting a vented jacket that still protects and makes you look good.

My #1 Go To Jacket
I have several jackets in my closet, and unless its cold out, I find myself going to this jacket more than any other.
It fits like a glove and allows full range of motion. Its the only jacket i own that honestly allows me to forget I'm wearing protection and just focus on the ride.
You will not be sorry investing in this jacket, just buy it!

I didn't know anyone still made quality like this anymore.
I actually bought two of these jackets. One for myself and the red one for my father. The jackets are absolutely flawless. There isn't even a frayed stitch or extra thread hanging anywhere. It is literally perfect. I've never seen anything like it and am very impressed by that alone and there is plenty more to be impressed with.
The fit is right on with Dianese's size chart, breathes well for the protection it offers and is as comfortable as any jacket in my closet, riding or otherwise. I couldn't be happier.

amazing jacket with great style
I just got this jacket a few weeks ago and waited to see how it feels before I would review it. So here it is. I did over 200 miles with it in weather ranging from 75 to 90 degrees on the highway and street riding and I was very pleased with the overall experience. I find it to have a good amount of air flow especially at highway speeds and just enough to keep you cool when you are riding with it in the streets. Now in all fairness its my first motorcycle jacket and I am not sure as to how it compares to other jackets but I feel safe riding with it, it keep me cool and I SURE LOOK SEXXY in it :). It comes with a back protector unlike most jackets made by Dainese and that is a big plus especially when you are spending over $300.
One little thing as far as comfort, it does tend to get a little clammy in the arm area. I would highly recommend a long sleeve shirt under it to help with that. On that note it does keep you cool when going at higher speeds and it doesn't affect the arms in that manner at all, only when riding it at slower speeds.
Highly recommend it and very happy to own it.
