Saved my leg
I clipped the rear end of a car doing about 60mph. My left knee caved in the bumper (plastic), the quarter panel (steel), and my shin got caught between the cars wheel and my rearset, which popped the tire on the car. Thankfully, physics weren't paying attention and I bounced off and landed in some grass off the shoulder. After tearing off my jeans I found that I had compressed the padding throughout the left leg to the point of no return. I ended up with no broken bones, no fractures, and just one little boo boo on my knee.

I walked away relatively unscathed from a situation that should've (at the very least) left me mangled. These underpants saved my leg from being completely cut and smashed to ribbons. I recommend body armor to everyone, especially after having had a few crashes. Don't be dumb. Buy armor. Live longer. Ride more. Very simple.

A niche product...
I have put 7800 miles on these pants and washed them several times. I like soft armor and am quite used to how it feels to have these, and other products like those made by Forcefield, on. I have worn them in a sport oriented and cafe oriented position. I don't know how they would be in any other riding style.
One thing that you have to know is that this armor is supposed to be stiff initially and mold as you wear it. I am 5'10" 156 lbs and got a medium. I am Euro cut so I am familiar with Dainese. In the 105 degree summers these get pretty hot. Anything that is protective will keep you hot in warm weather. Other than that - I took one spill with them in a rear end accident (I got hit) and they held up perfectly. I trust Dainese and Forcefield with my life.

Keeps your armor in place
I have only done one ride, but that was 200 miles. I like the snug fit because it keeps the armor in the proper spot. Knee armor seems really hard to keep in place and these do the job. They might be a little warm when 90 degree temps get here, but I think at speed they will be OK.

So worth the money!
I love these pants I've worn them in upwards of 90 degree weather and they really arnt too hot. Im 5' 11 with a 34 inch waste generally and a large fit great. The protection is in all the right spots and stays in place as it should. The pads actually have some ventilation in them, I can feel the air going through the knee pads. These fit under literally any pant (khakis, Jeans, sweats, Joggers) and are so low-pro.

Really can't go wrong with these, definitely buy!

great insurance in a slip-on
I followed the size guideline. Initially I thought they were a bit small, but after a couple days of wearing around the home they seemed just right -- tight enough to keep the armor in place, but non-constricting. I did some knee drops which I could never tolerate without them and was amazed how such a sleek fit could negate what I would feel without them.

I got the last of warm weather in them and felt they breathed exceptionally well, and now I'm wearing them under a thermal layer for 35-50 degree riding. With jeans or my regular riding pants I feel natural in my movements yet when I check the pad placement everything is right where it should be and resists being shifted around.

I think they'd make a big difference in involuntary get-offs like I've had previously off-road, so I ride as carefree as I have in the past in Klim pants with knee and hip pads. And unlike those, these don't shift around. And yet it's easy enough to put the Nosorex pants on that it doesn't deter me from wearing them on more casual rides around town or country. Good insurance!

As a new rider..
I really don't know what to expect. I know every crash is different. I've read other reviews like it doesn't breath and it's too hot. Well at least for me, it breath fine so far lol. I just hope that it does it's job when that time comes.

great protection with basic jeans
Worn only 8 hours under Levi's in 60 degree weather. They are great for a second layer, not sure how they'll do on a 90 degree day. These are well worth the price for the protection they give. As far as style they are practically unnoticeable under a pair of jeans.

Good alternative for some protection
Bought these for protection as I just won't wear leathers to take a quick ride. I have 30 waist and inseam, tried a small but returned for a medium and fit is good. They are comfortable and do not feel bulky once used to them. I can wear them all day long with no problem . I have not had hot weather yet but on a hot day anything will be hot. 2003 Kawasaki 1200 ZRX.

So far, so good.
Raw First season rider review. My size is 32-34"W x 31"L and wear Medium. Watch Anthony's other Dainese video reviews for help with sizing if need it - that's what I did. I have worn these on four 3+ hour weekend rides. Feel great under BDU Pants. Material reminds me of a perforated bathing suit, but stretchy. Breathes well. Only sweat spots at hip pads, but only once and it was 90s+ temp. Strap at ankle and waist are good and strong. Suggest to slide on and off holding pads. Hand wash definitely. If these last the rest of this year and into next I think these will be a good purchase. I hope they do because these really do wear well and increase my confidence and enjoyment in the ride! This is my first Dainese product and will look at more protection items by them.

I'm looking for base layer protection that will allow me to wear a variety of pants for low speed commuting. I hope to wear these under jeans or even khakis without drawing attention. The only comparable items is cost prohibitive and appears much bulkier - though the bulk is associated with added protection.

I wear this all day long at work under my denim pants. Doesn't get hot at all. The sheen/knee protector tends to dig in a bit. Otherwise I will buy again.

34 waist by 32 length, M or L?
A shopper on Jul 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would go one size up from what the chart says. I am 29/30 Waist by 30 inseam. I tried small according to size chart but too small . Medium fits better but is more snug than big on me.
Do you have a sizing chart or information? I wear a 34x34 pant. Thanks.
Sean W on Aug 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wear 32x32 and ordered Medium and it fits perfect. As for you, I think large will fit

Are these machine washable?
A C on Jul 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Per the label, NO. That is because the armor is not removable. They say to hand wash. That said, here is what I did: put them in the washing machine with a few other items and set for cold water, used no soap, and the most delicate wash cycle available. I left the top of the washer open so it stopped before the first spin cycle, removed the pants and hung them to dry. I LOVE THESE PANTS. They really keep the armor where it belongs. If in between sizes, order on the small side.
Do these underpants provide any slide / friction protection like kevlar?
Richard B on Dec 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is no Kevlar on these but I would say there's slide protection. The pads on these are thick and i would say they offer slide protection. They don't seem like some cheap foam but a waffle like hard plastic rubber on the outside of the pads. I would buy again.
How much protection does this give you? Should I still where over pants? Just don't want to over kill it.
Dorse B on Aug 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes you need pants over it, it's an under armour with mesh material so your underwear or balls will show (depending on if you like going commando). The protection is stellar. i feel confident my tail bone and ass cheeks will be in tact after i bail to say F* you to all the cool riders (sarcasm) in shorts.
Are these machine washable?
A shopper on Jul 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, they are hand washable
Do the hip pads are CE Certified?
Cesar F on Jun 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Can't be sure. Pads are in a pocket with no openings for removal. They do seam to be the exact material as the knee pads which have the CE rating. I really like these pants as they keep the armor where it belongs. Make sure to read the fitting and where possible order to fit you snug.
