Klim Tactical Pants
Didn't think about them
I've had two friends with pelvis fractures from track crashes. This seemed like the smart thing to do- I like that the padding covers the pelvis- a lot of pads cover the hips but not the pelvis. My leathers fit a little loose in the seat, this takes care of that too. They aren't super thin, but that's the price of protection. Once my leathers are on, I don't think about them at all, and on the track that's a very important thing.

They are high quality and fit well with enough stretch to fit a wide range of body types.
I got them to wear under my enduro pants. And you are going to want to wear pants that are vented.
They are comfortable and are great for wearing knee braces. The butt pad is great for longer rides but expect a sweaty a**.
I have 8-9 rides on them and haven't had a get off where I tested the protection aspect of them. Knock on wood. However they do feel like they will protect well. The tail bone pad is kind of a joke compared to the rest of the padding. Not sure why Klim even bothered with that one.
I do recommend them and oh yes, they do fit under Jeans if you want a bit of protection on the street. As long as you're not into skinny jeans.

Perfect fit & well made!
I wanted some extra hip and thigh protection which incorporated some leggings, and these were ideal for my needs.
I'm a 6" Aussie with a waist of 32" and long legs, ordered the Large, and they fit perfectly! There is no slack in the leggings and it's obvious that they can stretch quite a lot in any direction. All of the padding on the impact points sits EXACTLY where it's needed and won't move around or annoy you while riding. In the event of an "off" I know these are going to look after me and have no hesitation recommending them

If it says Klim, buy it.
I bought these as an under layer to wear with jeans. They fit snugly and with a loose pair jeans work fine. I live in San Diego so I was not looking for cold protection. These tights breath so not suited for cold weather riding. The padding is not too large and adequate. As with all Klim products, quality is excellent. Definitely recommend.

The fabric is not perforated as i would prefer so not much air flow. The comfort padding for the groin/bottom of your butt is well padded but restricts air flow so it gets hot wearing this. The foam protection areas are very dense but there is a gap in protection on the side of the lower thigh areas. I had a bad fall a week before picking these pants up and my bruise was still uncovered by any foam. I will be trying the Alpinsestars Freeride shorts as the pictures look like they cover up more of my thighs. I have washed and machine dried these Klim pants once after a 2 week period and the fabric and foam are still holding up strong.

Great base layer
As with anything from Klim this is a well made product. The padding is thick on the legs and included a small pad in the tail bone area. I recommend a compression type pant under your riding gear so why not have some pads to go with it. I got the M and it fits fine, 5'8" 160 lbs.
