Great base layer As with anything from Klim this is a well made product. The padding is thick on the legs and included a small pad in the tail bone area. I recommend a compression type pant under your riding gear so why not have some pads to go with it. I got the M and it fits fine, 5'8" 160 lbs. October 9, 2012

I am looking into the thigh high socks for use with knee protection. Then I saw the Klim Tactical Pant. Would this be a good one stop solution for hip/thigh protection and the under skin for abrasion protection from the knee braces?
Would they be too hot for summer riding?
Do most people forego the knee brace under layer in the summer?
