Great Boot - I hope So - I only received these boots this morning, so it might be too early for a full review - but I'm off on a four day ride this week, so I'm sure to know more after that. They look great, feel good (well, perhaps a little stiff, but I've only had them on for 2 hrs). After looking, thinking, researching, I ended up coming back to these boots - I think I've been contemplating this purchase for a year or so! My aim is that these will become my day to day commuter boots, with the hope they work well enough in an office environment to wear most days. Anyhow, first impressions. Very nicely made, comfortable and easy to put on. They definitely look low key enough to wear under my jeans/pants at work. The sole is quite stiff, as is the leather, but I'm sure that will soften up a touch. The big thing for me is the fit - after reading all the reviews I went to a size 43, although I'm typically a size 42. I think I probably should have stayed with the size 42. It may be that the American v's European size chat is a little off, I'm not sure, but I often purchase shoes in Euro sizes, and 42 is my go to size. From looking at all the reviews, I can only guess that Dainese may have loosened up the fit a little, as I feel like I have slightly too much space around the main areas of my feet - although the toe box feels a little tight. With the velcro synched up nice and tight, the ankle fit is good. I'm not quite sure if the 42 would be better (my guess is that it would be fine), but to get the boots back and forth from Australia is a bit expensive/time consuming... so I'm going to wear some thick socks and see how they go. If it was more simple, I'd probably go for the 42, and try to loosen them up a bit. Anyhow - they do look great, I'll post back after breaking them in. Oh - and thanks Revzilla - this order came swiftly, with no hassles - love it! June 9, 2014
Great boot. Returned it immediately. I don't think I've ever written a glorious review about an item I immediately returned. The boot is a work of art. Belongs in a museum. But, it's for the very few whose foot size is just below the average and not wide. My foot is not wide but long. I wear 12 in Frye boots and their sizing happens to be perfect for me. But Dainese is an Italian brand and for those who have been in Italy, they like small. Small is quite big in Italy. Size 13 was still not large enough for my foot. The workmanship and craftsmanship are spectacular. I highly recommend it for those among you who are lucky enough to have... Italian feet. June 3, 2014
Perfect boot Well I have just one thing to mention to everyone who is willing to buy this boot, stick to the EU size chart as the US size chart is not accurate it's a size down. May 20, 2014
Very good looking boots, robust construction but very tight fit. These boots are very well made, beautiful leather and workmanship. I've got two issues with them: 1st, they fit a bit on the tight side so get one size up, they will take a while to break in due to their robust construction; 2nd, the padding is very minimal, I would not be able to wear them for longer than my usual commute. These boots were not made for walking... April 29, 2014
Good boot for the price, too narrow I ordered these boots because they were stylish, waterproof, and were a decent price. I read all the reviews that said these fit very narrow, but I had to give them a try anyways. The size I ordered fit everywhere else, but were too narrow. I wore them around the house for a few hours, and realized I just couldn't do it, so I returned them. Maybe if you wear them around for a week or two on the bike they will loosen up, but I didn't want to take that chance for 200 plus dollars. If they fit, I would have kept them. June 2, 2014
this boot feels good right out of the box First I wear 10.5 c shoe and size 11 fit perfect boots felt good first time I wore them the only problem is with the zipper on the outside of the boot I have trouble Zipping them up if you have no problem bending over then these are great boot. Great quality boots but very narrow I really liked this boots, unfortunately I had to return them because they are too narrow. I'm very sorry because they look a very high quality product. I definitively recommend them if they fit your feet. March 1, 2014
Excellent boots, great fit and waterproof. The Dianese Nighthawk looks and performs great. I work in an office environment and have worn them all day with no issues or soreness. I have narrow feet, which makes it difficult to find boots that fit. The Nighthawk are on the narrow side so they fit great. I live in the northwest, which means riding in the wet weather - these boots keep my feet dry. December 30, 2013

Shamus H: They look great, and the overall feedback (sans sizing) is good - especially for something I hope to commute in and wear to work through most of the year. Jun 2, 2014
chris h: These boots were recommended to me by Revzilla as the best boots for comfort, water proof etc. Feb 16, 2014
A shopper asked: i see these are the replacements for the Nighthawk, i liked the nighthawk but they were to narrow for my foot. So,what are the differences, and are they any wider? Mar 25, 2014

Tyler M: I never owned the first series of Nighthawks, but I would say it seemed to have plenty of room when trying on. The only problem I had was that the toes did not have enough room for me so I had to send them back. However, there is no doubt they are a quality made shoe. Mar 25, 2014

chris h: I have a fairly wide foot and these boots are very comfortable. They are actually overly wide (or loose) from the ankles up making them feel a little uncertain to stay on if you were to take a fall on the bike. Mar 25, 2014

Fajar A asked: I usually wear size 41, any advice what size of this boots will fit for me..? Jul 8, 2014

Shamus H: Well - I'd say get 41, if you usually fit a 41 "comfortably". I'm normally a "tight" 42 , but purchased a pair of 43 (based on reviews) - they seem a little loose, but I do get away with them. If I was a "comfortable" 42 I'm sure I'd have been much happier with getting the 42. In reading the reviews, there seems to be some who think the sizing chart comparison between the US sizes and the Dainese Euro sizes is on size different. I hope that helps... a bit. I'd be interested in seeing how you go :-) Jul 8, 2014

Zeljko K: This is Italian product meaning designed for Italian (smaller and sleak)
Boots are good hovewer look is before comfort
It took few months to brake it in
I use it mostly for comuting
For sport and performance ride I would look somwere else or have it as second par othervise expecting to last number of years

A S: I think 41 is the way to go for you. I wear 10.5 US and since there is no equivalent I went with 44 = 11 US which seems true to size for what I would expect a US 11 to be. Jul 8, 2014

DIEGO I: One more of the size suggested in the chart. I live in Argentina and had to resell my boots here because they were small. Finally bought here a new pair of the right size . Jul 8, 2014
