Takes a hit and keeps going!
I have a Dainese Speed Naked, non-perf, leather jacket. While I love that jacket and had ridden in it in 90 degree days, it wasn't cutting the mustard in the 95+ degree / humid days that were developing in North Carolina. I wanted a jacket which had the protective properties of leather but had the great airflow of mesh. The Air Frazer seemed to fit that bill.

Two weeks ago, I received my jacket in the mail. I immediately put this jacket to use and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The jacket has slightly more room than the Speed Naked and the airflow is exceptional. Not only could I feel my shirt flapping underneath the jacket, while at speed, the slightest breeze would keep me cool while stopped.

While I enjoyed the much improve comfort in high temperatures, I still had a worry in the back of my mind about how well the mesh would stand up against a spill. Yesterday I found out.

I must point out up front that some damage was prevented by the Spidi rain over jacket I was wearing. A thunderstorm had passed by and I was riding in slight rain. Long story short, I lost the back end, high sided, and met the pavement at about 25mph. I went down hard on my left shoulder, rolled, stopped and........ Felt no pain. None. An assessment showed no injuries either. The rain jacket is torn in several places but the jacket suffered hardly any damage. The only thing noticeable is the shoulder, which is covered in black mesh, showed some abrasion but no damage at all to the hard shoulder parts underneath. The few marks on the leather were merely discoloration. No damage. The only real damage at all was to the metal adjustment snaps that were slightly ground down.

A day later and I'm still feeling no pain. I attribute that fact both to a great jacket and the Forcefield back protector I had installed. The Air Frazer has been a great investment. I highly recommend it.

cow leather is not durable at all..
This is my dream summer jacket and I finally got it, and couldn't' be happier with the style and ventilation, got TONS of compliments from even people who don't ride.

HOWEVER, after 1 week of use, I notice the "cow leather" is disappoints , it has scratches on places where I made no contact at all, around the piping, and black leather dye is chipping on where the stich makes contact.

This makes sense after seeing the Black/Anthracite color dropped to 100$ off MSRP and I start questioning the true value of this jacket.

I'm complaining because my run of the mill Dainese Zen Evo jacket which never has a scratch after 2 years of abuse with weather and backpack, true Dainese quality.

after all this complaining, is this the best fitting and most badass summer jacket money can buy ? YES......

but would I buy it again ?? Probably Not....

great piece of gear!
I bought the jacket and the pants for summer riding and I couldnt be more impressed. It is dianese so you get exactly what you paying for.

Im a size 32 waist and Im 69 inches tall so I got the euro size 50 fr top and bottom and they are snug like youd want them. not hard to match up the zippers either, as well as having a velcro size adjustment on either side for when you lose weight like i did.

All in all great for summer, breaths well, fits well.

Great Purchase!
Great jacket for summer riding. I thought at first that it was going to be another "thick" summer jacket or a complete mesh horse blanket as I have found most summer jackets to be. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. In true dainese fashion they have protection in the exact spots where you need it, armor where you really need it and then BIG panels to allow for air flow.

Very nice summer jacket!
This jacket replaces a 5 year old Dainese Mesh jacket. Fit is the same as before. This will be used for the worst of the Gulf Coast summer heat & humidity, and it will be a good choice. Airflow is even better than the last jacket, and the leather just feels more substantial than the older textile mesh one. I particularly like the fit- with no arm tightening Velcro (this is summer only, I don't care if it lacks a liner), and minimal Velcro at the sleeve or neck. I keep the same gear for a ling time, and prefer zippers/snaps to Velcro. My only ding on the jacket is features: the lack of usable pockets is annoying #not even a cell phone pocket on the inside? This is especially cumbersome if you get the matching pants, which lack ANY pockets. The other gripe is having to pay extra at this pricepoint for ANY back protection. I used my old Wave protector, but feel something should have been included. Oh well, minor complaints. I am sure this will last another 5 years.

Keeps you cool in hot weather, stylish & protected.
Living in North Carolina, the summers are hot and sticky. I always ride in full gear and full leathers are too hot when it is 90+ out some days. This jacket has great air flow, fits snugly and has good armor. There is a pocket to add a back protector which is a great feature and some reflective areas for visibility. The leather is in the right spots to add to the protection and the look is really cool too. I also purchased the matching pants to go with this jacket, as with all Dainese products the pants zip to their jackets and you have a two-piece light track or street suit with tons of air flow, decent protection (not as much as full leathers) and good looks and is very comfy with no binding and freedom to move. I have gotten a lot of compliments from other riders who want to get the jacket now seeing it in person.

Excellent Comfort and Style!
Really awesome jacket! Revzilla really sold me on after watching the review. Looks really stylish and the fit is nice if a bit on the small side. If you're in-between sizes I would size up, especially if you're planning on grabbing the Wave G to go with it. Very comfortable and solid protection in all the places that need it. Air flow is great in the summer months. I'd even go as far to say that it gets a bit chilly some days (but then again, I am from New England). This was my first time buying a Dainese jacket and I think I might have just become a fan for life.

My summer jacket that I would love to rock all season!!
This is my new favorite jacket period! Looks wicked cool. Is wicked cool in even the hottest days. You feel the protection is there all at the right places. I am 5'7" 160 and got a size 48. It's a nice sporty fit. I'm pretty sure the 50 would fit as well but would be more loose.

Buy it you'll be happy you did!

This Is An Awesome Summer Jacket...
I've had this jacket for a few weeks now riding in Las Vegas temperatures of 100+ degrees F. The air flow is really good which is exactly what I needed. It looks and feels great. The fit is more of a sport fit so that's probably the only thing you want to consider. The leather is in the right places and seems like it would hold up well in a crash. There is really nothing I don't like about this jacket. The collar was a bit annonying for a few days. It felt pretty loose and comfortable in a standing position. When you're riding, the wind can catch the jacket and bring it back against your throat a bit, but the collar has loosed up over time and I don't really notice that at all anymore. This is a really good jacket if you live in a hot place.

Coolest Jacket for the money. Keeps my forearms cooler than most Jackets and has good airflow with lots of protection pockets for inserting additional armor in the front and back.

Looked for a long time for a hot weather jacket. Love Dainese and couldn't decide between the Frazer or other centered/perforated models. Finally decided on the Frazer due to the combination of styling, protection and massive air flow! Dainese....include the Manis D1 with this jacket!

Does the Air Frazer have a windproof liner and, if not, what dos one usually do when your start time is chilly but it's going to be a scorcher of a day?
George L on Feb 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The jacket does not have any liner, I'm having it as a full dry summer vest and I do have other jacket for other seasons
One more thing about this jacket as it has a tight fit especially on shoulders.
Hope this helps
i already have Dainese Avro C2 Leather Jacket in a size 54. i am in Australia and nobody stocks the Air Frazer jacket for me to try in store before i buy it from Revzilla. Can anyone state from experience whether Dainese sizing is consistent with their jacket sizes. Is it likely to be the same sizing / fit as my Avro jacket?
A shopper on Jul 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The Dianese sizing chart was pretty much correct. I have a 40 inch chest measurement and am a little broad across the shoulders and typically wear a size 40 suit jacket. Based on this and the Diaese chart I ordered a size 52 which fit well in the chest (a little room to install back armor) and a little snug in the shoulders. Which is like most suit jackets before they are tailored. Sleeve length is ok in the riding position, if a little short when I fully extend my arms (again like most suit jackets). The jacket is pretty european cut so if you have a belly it may not fit you well. I don't have much of a gut so I used the side snaps to cinch in the waste, Length is a little short, but it has a tab in the back with a zipper to connect ti riding pants so, again in the seating position everything sits well. Hope this helps...ride safe.
Love this jacket. I can wear a 54 or 56, but I'm leaning toward 56 for ventilation. Any size recommendations?
Patrick L on May 31, 2014
BEST ANSWER: In my experience this jacket runs pretty true to size. I have a 40" chest and 30" waste, and I've traditionally worn a euro size 50 and the fit on this jacket is no different terms of sizing. Upper body fit is perfect, and I have the lower snaps adjusted inward. If you've got a bit of a belly, there is a bit of room in the stomach area if you decide to buy based on your chest size.
I'm 6'1", 170 lbs (tall and lean). With a business suit, I generally wear a 40L or 42R.
Any sizing recommendations?
Ryan C on Apr 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am 5'11 and 180 pounds I have been riding the Air Frazer Jacket now for about a month. It fits really good the only complaint I have is that it rubs my throat a bit in the front but thats probably because I have poor posture not the jacket. I have a size 54. Again it fits really well and comfortable however it is definitely a summer jacket not suited well for under 45 degrees. I ride a 2007 Kawasaki ZX6r. I noticed this was the only jacket that fit well cause it has the flex shoulders. If you are American I recommend this jacket since we're usually a little more built than others. Your probably between a 52 and a 54 I might guess. Then again I had the benefit of trying them on at the Revzilla store in Philly.
Will the Dainese Manis D1 G Insert Back Protector fit into a size 50?
A shopper on Sep 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes
Can you confirm how many pockets this jacket has? I can't see any on the side or inside watching the video.
A shopper on May 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There are 2 outside zipper pockets on each side of the jacket and none on the inside.
Looking at getting the Air Frazer and Super Speed Tex as a summer/hot and dry weather only jacket. I have a leather jacket, and I can stand to be in it only while moving and up to 80 degrees. I ride a sport bike and I generally take it out only to ride the twisties. What should I get for aggressive street riding? Thanks!
Alfred M on Apr 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I think the Air Frazer jacket looks great and I wear it even when the temps are into the mid 60's. It offers good arm and shoulder protection as it comes, but you may want to add a back protector.
It's mentioned in the product description but I dont remember hearing about it in the video review; does this jacket have pockets for chest armor? If so, what armor fits?
Izzaldin O on Dec 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it has some liner type thing on the inside of the inside zippered pocket on the left side. I had no clue what this was until I was informed it was for a chest protector. Not sure what kind of protector it would fit.
How does the Air Frazier fit, compared to the Air Frame? I have a size 56 Air Frame and tried on a Airfast leather size 56 and couldnt come close to doing up zipper.
Neil L on Nov 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Neil, I cannot compare because I never tried the Air Frame. Anyway I tried several other summer jackets from Dainese (no leather). The 48 was always the best fit, so I bought the Air Frazier in 48. It fits just slightly tight than the non-leather ones, but nothing that made me want to exchange it by the 50. I am very happy with it. Cheers!
Can this jacket be fitted with a G2 size Dainese Shield Air G Level 2 Back Protector? Given that Dainese back protectors come in different shapes and sizes.
A shopper on Jul 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I use Dainese Shield Air G2 back protector to my jacket, it fits perfectly.
Remember, there are 2 insertion pockets covered by 1 common zipper, insert G2 to "wider" pocket, which is located just on the "relatively smaller pocket" on the inner back side.
