Custom Dynamics License Plate Bolt Lights With Integrated Amber LEDs
Super-clean custom lighting in a tiny pacakage. Custom Dynamics features high power, low-draw LED's with attractive tag fasteners so as not to spoil the lines of your motorcycle. These lights throw a swath of clean, white light on your plate and can be rotated 360 degrees for coverage regardless of where it is mounted. Furthermore, the head of the light has a rear-facing amber LED that can be wired to act as a running light or turn signal.
Great sleek look
Alright, these lights lights look great! install was easy, however Unless you have a permanent plate I wouldn't recommend using them as the actual plate bolt because they are wired into the bike right? well how are you gonna take off the plate if theres wires going through it into your bike? So what I did was drill to holes in the plate bracket right above the plate then installed them right there so the plate can still be removed. Its a great way to give the bike a narrow look. I had the turn signals that stick out a good 4 inches and hated them so now they're gone. The other thing that needs to be accounted for is if your bike does not have LED turn signals already, you WILL need a electronic flasher. Unless you don't care if your turn signals flash quickly. Because LEDs don't use much power so the original flasher doesn't see a draw, so it flashes quickly to let you know a light is out. if that doesn't bother you. Then all you need is what you see here. If however you don't like that, you can find a electronic flasher for your bike OR if there isn't one offered for your bike I would suggest load equalizers. They spline in to the existing wire and create a higher power draw so the factory flasher doesn't think anything is wrong, and now you have normal speed signals again. these load equalizer can be found pretty much anywhere, O'reilly auto, any other auto store I would assume AND right here on RevZilla. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/custom-dynamics-turn-signal-load-equalizer
Im very satisfied with these lights, they look Great, you can't even tell they're there unless they're on.

These things are GREAT!!
don't listen to the other review up here you don't need anything extra. just basic knowledge of electronics or bring it to your local shop!! I have smoked flush mounts on my 07 cbr 1000rr. I had no license plate light and I wanted to make sure people knew when I was turning. BOOM I found this product on revzilla and didn't think twice! wired up work great!!

Not functional as a turn signal without additional hardware.
I purchased these specifically to use as low profile turn signals.
They do not include a relay or resistor which is needed to make them function, if you install them without a resistor or relay they will not blink, just stay solid.
Further complicating this is the fact that nowhere in the directions or on the package is the wattage of the LEDs listed, which is needed to determine the type of resistor or relay needed.
If your intending to use these as turn signals. DONT.

J T: Just installed a Kuryakyn detachable backrest on my 2002 Heritage Springer that required purchasing/relocating my rear turn signals along the fender struts. Instead, I'm going to mount these plate bolts and wire them up to work as turn signals.Apr 17, 2015
