It doesn't gt any better bang for buck
Looks great, fits well (the sleeves are a TAD long for me but nothing to complain about,) couldn't be more reasonably priced even from the perspective of my broke college budget, and while I'll be looking to upgrade the back protection when money allows, there is some level of triple density foam padding in the back and my arms from the shoulder down to the end of my forearm feel completely covered. Stop pondering, stop searching, order the jacket. You won't regret it.

Great Fit, Just a little warm
Living in Maine we tend to have a shorter riding season, but that just means we enjoy it even more. This jacket is my first ever since I purchased it to take the MSF course. The jacket is extremely comfortable in cooler weather but when i gets up to higher temps, you'll still sweat a little even if you take out the liner. For the area that I live it's perfect since our summers aren't as hot as down south, but if you're looking to wear this in a Texas summer, you may want to look for something a bit lighter. Protection is top notch aside from the tempurfoam in the back that comes standard, but that can be replaced with slip in CE Armor. All in all, totally love this jacket and I would recommend it!

Nice jacket, but airflow is not as good as previous versions
I had the original Cortech GX Sport jacket for many years, and it was a great jacket even down here in FL with the superior venting. The new version is comfortable, but does have less airflow from the fewer and smaller vents. In addition, the small shoulder vents are completely covered by any kind of backpack or hydrator shoulder straps. Since I was planning to use this jacket in lots of hot weather, I paired it with the REV'IT Oxygen LS shirt, which made a big difference in comfort in hot weather.

The jacket fit well, and is just comfortably snug with the liner in. I am 5'8", 175 lbs, 32" waist and the medium seems perfect for me. When I got caught in the rain, I didn't even bother to close the vents because of the warm temperatures, and not much water comes through the vents. Much of the airflow seems to be the rear vents pulling air through the arm vents and neck area.

worth every penny
The first time I wore my jacket it was 31 degrees and after a 45 minute ride to work I wasn't cold at all. Also love how confortable it is. I am 5' 8" 180 and an athletic build size chart suggests large had to get x- large for better fit.

Great jacket for the price... Hi-Viz doesn't match Kawa green...
For $150 this is a great value.

The bad first: I thought Hi-Viz would come close to matching my Kawa green. It does not. I let go of firstly wanting to look cool and decided to keep the jacket.

I'm 6'1 and 240 and ordered an XXL. The arm length is perfect but it is a tad too short for my trunk. I could have got away with an XXL tall and it would have been perfect. This is a criticism after wearing the jacket on a few rides so returning it wasn't an option.

The good: The liner is great. Warm enough to keep you comfortable on a mid 30 degree ride to a 50 degree ride. Remove the liner and open your airflow vents and your comfortable from 70's on up. I'm sure it would be a little hot for anything hotter than 90 degrees but with the airflow it would be comfortable on the move.

Good options to adjust waist fit and bicep cinch.

The armor doesn't feel too cumbersome and it's nice to know you have protection if you need it.

It's a great jacket for someone riding in a mild climate.

All my complaints could have been rectified had I returned the jacket and gotten a tall size and a more neutral color. This riding jacket does what I need and more. A great buy at the sale price I got it at.

Perfect fit I'm 6'4 210lbs large fits just right.
i received this jacket yesterday and went for a 120 mile ride in 40 degree weather. The jacket was warm and very comfortable with just a light long sleeve shirt under it.

I also have the Cortech GX Air for summer and it's equally comfortable with good air circulation.

Buy this jacket before they are discontinued!

Great Jacket
So far I have ridden a few times this summer with this jacket. Its a great improvement over my all leather jacket when it comes to keeping cool. I really like the styling, and you can tell it is a high quality, well made jacket.
The only drawback I can think of is the fact it runs a little small. I normally am quite comfortable in an XL, but had to send my XL back and order an XXL. Otherwise, great jacket, great value....looks good.

Great jacket at great price
Let me start by stating I purchased the jacket on sale so I got an even better price than the $199. It is overall a great jacket. Fits we'll but runs about a size large. I purchased an XL when I fit most other jackets in 2X. I could go for a taller collar as I got the cold weather version and ride most of the year. Besides that it is all as advertised. Have not had any warmer weather rides so can not say how the venting works as temps rise. The thermal liner and jacket work excellent in the cold mornings (low 40 temps) I haven't needed to worry about base layers.

Couldn't be happier with this purchase
This is a really nice jacket. It's my first textile riding jacket and I was really surprised with the quality and details for the price. Everything in the video in spot on about the jacket including the recommendation on seasonal wear. I'm 5'11" 205# with a 43" chest. Medium fit perfectly as recommended.

We've been having really nice dry 70 degree weather here of course until the week my jacket arrived in the mail. I had to test it in 90 degree high humidity. The vents cool very well on the highway but I was sweating at stop lights. The upside is that with the added liner, I'm looking forward to riding well into late fall.

Great closeout deal.

I love this jacket. I wear it in temps down to the 20's in the winter with the liner and my normal wear. Decently water proof although, the outside pockets do let moisture in, so be careful storing your cell phone in them when its raining. Definitely a 3 season jacket and not that great for the summer. Not meant for my Texas summers anyway. I've got another jacket for that though. I wouldn't wear it in temps 90+.

Nice jacket, fits great. I'm 5'10" and 275lbs. The quality feels good. The back pad is just a piece of foam but that's to be expected at this price point. I would buy another cortech without hesitation.

I purchased this jacket because i needed a cool weather jacket. Its good for fall, early winter and spring riding. Lots of protection, but its not a warm weather jacket.
Thomas m on Jun 17, 2016
my local stores had limited choice and few jackets that offered the versatility of this jacket.
GreenRocket on May 4, 2016
Looks like a great all season jacket that I can wear in Northern Michigan. I liked the design and the price was on close-out so I did not pass on the opportunity. I will be commuting to work and some free riding on the roads. Safety was a big concern to I chose yellow for higher viz. I also chose this over mesh hoping it is more protective, but I did not want to spend the money for a full leather jacket.
Bradley H on Apr 27, 2016
Affordable, good reviews, stylish.
BlueSVBandit on Apr 13, 2016
Very pleased with the quality and fit of this jacket. It has excellent zippers, tough materials construction, and nice zip/ velcro closure to the cuffs. I also like the fact that the high-vis portion is not overdone. The XXL fit my stocky 48 chest well. Enough room for the liner, a T shirt and a sweatshirt. The jacket also arrived 3 days after I ordered it and was well packed in a sturdy box.
Ross H on Apr 8, 2016
I chose the Hi-viz option because it looked good while it would seem to provide more visibility as well.

I was looking for a cold weather jacket. The Cortech GX Sport 3.0 is excellent at blocking cold air. I wish the collar came up higher on the front of my neck, but I am able to overcome the problem with a neck gator.
Mansel G on Feb 21, 2016

Brian J on Feb 10, 2016
features, price and reputation. Fit is good, but is a little tight in my forearms. Could be those 25 years as a carpenter - I don't know. I'm very impressed with it's cold weather capabilities. I went out riding in 45 degrees for 1 1/2 hours with the liner and short sleeve underneath and was cozy. Riding my sons1999 CBR600 F4 but will be getting 2014 - 2015 FJR 1300 in April.

I chose this because of the waterproof liner that's "baked" in as well as the reflective aspects for my commutes which may involve riding into the evening hours. Most importantly, it matches my Black Icon Airmada Volare. :)

I wanted a new jacket to extend my late fall and winter riding. The thermal liner and style of the jacket is what sold me on the GX 3.0. I called and spoke with a rep for some additional feedback and confirmed my choice for the Cortech GX 3.0 jacket. Thanks Revzilla, knocked it out of the park again!!!!

I wanted a protective, hi viz jacket for temps down to the 30s, and I like that it's waterproof and has a decent amount of pockets.
Cesare57 on Oct 14, 2015
Should be a good multi-season jacket for my climate, good bang-for-the-buck rating, will match my Hi-Viz helmet nicely
Paul H on Oct 14, 2015
I had seen it before at a bike show and tried it on. I was impressed with the look, the fit and the features. Good value overall. Venting is decent but I bought a mesh jacket as well so I'm not looking to wear this in really hot weather anyway. So far it's done well in the medium to warm temperatures I've ridden in, both with the liner in and out. I'm quite pleased with it thus far. I got the black hi vis cuz I have this thing about being seen and I think it looks fantastic.

If I wanted to upgrade the back protection, which back protector would fit the Cortech GX Sport 3.0 Jacket?

Is there yellow on the back of the hi viz and hi viz/black?

What sizes of back armor fit in this jacket?

Is this a two liner or three liner coat? And why choose this coat over the mesh version?
A shopper on Aug 9, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This is actually a single liner jacket. The wind/water proof liner is sewn into the jacket, making the quilted liner the only one that is removable. I personally had the same question about whether or not to buy this one or the mesh version. I bought this one because where I live, it can get pretty chilly at night, even in the summer, at highway speeds and don't want to always bring a backpack to carry the windproof liner with me where ever I go. It can get pretty hot during the hottest days of the summer, but I just ride with an Under Armor compression top to keep the sweat off of me and I stay pretty cool that way.
can this jacket be cleaned?
Murray W on Jul 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. All the pads are removable and as the tag inside the jacket suggests I have machine washed this jacket in cold water. I hung it out to dry instead of machine drying it though.
does this jacket get too hot in 90+ degree weather?
A C on Jan 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have yet to try the jacket in hot weather. I have written it with the liner in and a short sleeve in 45 degree weather for an hour and a half and it was just fine. The liner does block most if not all of the venting so I can't wait to try it with warmer weather without the liner. Love the jacket but in the future I plan on getting into longer distance riding which means I would like to get another jacket with a higher collar. The second jacket would serve me in late fall early winter so I could load up on sweatshirt or sweater underneath the jacket. Mandarin collars are sporty and they look cool right up to the point where that junebug hit you in the neck doing about 80 for your caught in a driving rain and it feels like someone shooting at your neck with a BB gun. All kidding aside I love the jacket and upgraded the back armor
Does the torso length increase in the tall sizes? The size chart states a sleeve length increase, but nothing about the torso.
A shopper on May 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I've tried on a Large and XL, and did not notice an appreciable difference in torso length. it does seem to be more of a sport-shorty type jacket than a longer adventure winter type jacket. I have other Alpinestar and Moose jackets (winter/summer) and must say the quality of this Cortech jacket is better and very well constructed. This is my favorite jacket, and I wear it up to 80 degree days with vents open if I must, and with the liner in I can wear it down to 30 degrees, etc. It's worth trying on and checking out to get the right size for you.
I am conflicted about which size to order. I am 5'9" (69 inches), my chest is 37 inches, my waist is about 34 inches, and arm length is about 25.5 inches. Should I order a medium or a small size?
Chintan D on Aug 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am a bit bigger, 6 ft 235 lbs. I would suggest the bigger size. The arms and shoulder area may have a littletter play by the chest and waist should be good. The one great thing is the revzilla return process If you need to change size. Hope this helps
Hey, I want to know if this jacket and run a size bigger or is it the exact fit?

BEST ANSWER: Exact fit. Great Jacket
Is this jacket fully waterproof from the outter shell to the inner liner?
looking for something that I can use on my dailly commute.
A shopper on May 9, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Just got caught in the rain the other day with my jacket with the inner liner removed. Was soaked from head to toe except from my neck down to my waist. It's waterproof!
